All right guys,

I finally got new shoes on my car. Will post up a photo once I've taken it. I went for the G.Max M-126 in Gunmetal 17x7 with 205/40/17 rubbers. Phew, that was a mouthful. I didn't have the guts to go the white rims white car direction. Anyway, got a fantastic deal on them and I loving them now. The only problem is that now my car looks too high. Looks like I really have to lower it now.

How about it orrock? Can you give me a hand with that? How did wheel shopping go today?

does your car have rear mud flaps and are these unpainted?

did you pick up your car with window tinting from the dealer?

My rear mudflaps are unpainted and window tinting came from the dealer.

thx danz :)

I think I have have gone off the gold/bronze phase of wheels now :) looking at some nice racing 5/6 spokes .....425$ each wheel (no rubber) or 700$ forged (no rubber)

I've had 18's, then 17's and now i think i want to go back to 16's. What do you recommend as a lightweight alloy wheel. I was thinking of Oz racing rims or nippon's. What in your opinion or experience is an exceptional road handling tyre. Looking at a 205/50/16.

Im assuming you have had 18's and 17's on your rolla.

Why do you want to go back down to 16 may I ask?

Is that $850 for 5 wheels plus rubber or only 4? And where did you pick those up may I ask?

wheels of the same grade cost the same. the cheapest are from china or malaysia. expensive wheels are from europe like italy and otherwise from japan. the big difference in cost in a wheel/tyre package are the tyres you purchase. dealer buying prices for wheels from china or malaysia are under $70 per piece. most wheels are manufactured from these factories and distributed worldwide under different brands.

I've got a buyer for Stock Stivo wheels from Sydney and he's really desperate to get a set of stock Stivo wheels. He contacted me after I got a buyer for my wheels and is really keen to get another set and I told him that I'll ask around for him. He's offered approx $850 for my almost new wheels and I reckon that's what he's prepared to pay even for a slightly older set.

PM me and I'll give you his contact.

looks similar to mine now

Yup, your car inspired me on how dark coloured rims would look on a white car.
