yeh saw that on TV.. bloody awesome hey? Probably only the commisioner gets to drive it :P And try getting that Gallardo or Murciellago to do a chase on our choppy pot-holed filled roads, i think a Stivo still stands half a chance :D

btw.. i live in Shellharbour City and i swear some bloody rich ***** owns a Gallardo AND a Murciellago! Both Yellow, No kidding! I think i know who he is cuz i always used to see his wife drive a Ferrari F355 to a restaurant i waitered for many years back ;)

i'm sure lamborghini's arent that great of a thing in Italy. It'd probably only cost 1/4 of the price over there too :D

Somebody in Brissy has a yellow Gallardo. I was driving my trusty school bus down the M1 heading towards Springwood with the rugby team on board when He came up along side and the boys all gave him a bit of a razz so he dropped it back a couple of gears and gave it a squirt.... Don't worry bout the boys getting excited the bus driver was as well LOL

With the roads being nice and fast in italy that cop car also doubles as a organ transplant vehicle if need be !!!!!

yep, it was a one off donated by Lambo to the Italia Polizi in an attempt to lift it's profile and sales, particularly after the launch of Bugattis now monster (which was still only rumoured at the time but enough to have (rightly so) had them shaking at the knees).

btw guys that's a Gallardo if yous don't already know. Specs from my BestMotoring DVD are:

Gallardo:

Length width height 4300x1900x1165 (mm)

Wheelbase 2560 (mm)

Track f/r 1622/1592 (mm)

Weight 1570 (kg)

Wheels:

Front 235/35R19

Rear 295/30R19

Engine:

4961cc 90degree V10 DOHC Aluminium

bore/stroke 82.5x92.8 (mm)

Compression ratio 11.0:1

Power 500ps@7800rpm

Torque 52kgm@4500rpm

Murcielago:

-Length width height 4580x2045x1135 (mm)

-Wheelbase 2665 (mm)

-Weight 1800 (kg)

Wheels:

Front 245/35 R18

Rear 335/30R18

Engine:

6193cc 60degree V12 DOHC Aluminium

bore/stroke 87x86.8 (mm)

Compression ratio 10.7:1

Power 580ps@7500rpm

Torque 66.3kgm@5400rpm

The Gallardo has a top speed of 309km/h and is AWD while the Murcielago is MR. The Gallardo is slower on the straights compared to Murcielago but quicker in the bends. It supposedly rivals the Ferrari 360 Modenna. Surprisingly enough in this BM vid, the 04' Honda NSX-R (NSX debut in 1990!) driven at Japan's Motegi East Course led the 5 lap race all the way until the last 2 corners when it overheated as Gansan was late braking at every corner over-revving the car too much. But this showed that even at such a high speed track, lightness is still the key to a fast car and overcomes the horsepower difference. In comparison, the Murcielago with 300 more horsepower only won the race by 3.5s over the NSX-R which overheated. Murcielago came 1st, Gallardo came a close 2nd, NSX-R 3rd, Porsche 911 Turbo a big 12s margin benhind in 4th, M3 CSL in 5th and Ferrai 360 Modenna in 6th.
