Reverse Sound

Recommended Posts

i hated it until 1 day it was actually useful for something

i was at a set of light and fiddling with the stacker putting cd's in n stuff wen it went green so i dropped everythin on da passenger seat n went to shift to 1st as i had it in neutral when i pushed it to far to the left and i engaged reverse for a split second. If it hadnt been 4 da beeping noise coming on i think i might have gunned it n found i went in the wrong direction :blink::unsure::unsure:

The noise annoyed me from day one also.

Got it disabled on the 1000K service.

Have had a similar event to xoom but mine was at a toll booth.......but it happened TWICE  the guy in the range rover behind me pooped his pants i think :)

If you're into electronics, I'm sure you could turn it down somehow either by replacing the speaker or piezo beeper or maybe adding some resistors or a 'volume reduction' circuit! Dont know if this makes any sense but I think I just pulled it out of my a**.. B) :D

If you guys found a way to turn it down, i'd like to know as well!

enny mini: You ain't pulling it out of your *****, more like a Very Good Guess.

That's correct. You can turn the volume down by adding more resistance. Or you can put a potentiometer in series with the stock wiring, thus you will be able to adjust the amount of resistance..thus you'll be able to control the volume. Turn it UP or turn it DOWN.

OMG!!! THE GEEK WITHIN EMERGES!!! NNNNOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

Great idea guys...don't know what you're talking about, but great idea!

So is someone going to try it? Please try and let us know, the sound is really annoying and I think that everyone here would love to know how to lower the sound.
