If you want great traction in wet, go Fulda excelros :)

Pfft...we all know only the dodgy rolla's run on excelros!! :)

haha dylan!!

yeah he's got a point though - ive heard great reports about toyo tyres... very good brand... ive never had em, ive got sumatomos on my car, and they perform well, but i dont have much to compare them to (the three sets of tyres ive truly 'tested' have been stock tyres, my sumatomos, and my dads pirellis)

Advan A048 ;) anyone knows how much these babies cost?

http://www.yokohama.com.au/motorsports/

ADVAN A048

215/45-17 - RRP:$850

$850 each of course

Just say the budget is $150 what would be the best choice??? :D

Stretch your budget a little further (about the $170-$180) and you'll have a 3 times longer list to choose from.

Kuhmo's or Hankooks are around that price. The Kuhmo's are highly recommended by some fellow TOCAU members here.

Damn, you can get Dunlop D01J or DZ02G for half that money.

From all the tyres I have used on my car, C.Drive > Stock.

C. Drive is good with corners, has a pretty stiff sidewall compared to the Turanzas but traction is only average (especially when cold), i guess it is a harder compund so it lasts longer. It is quiter than most tyres though so for highway driving the C. Drive is great. But it will set people back close to $200 each.

btw i just noticed that the C. Drive is not in the pinned tyre lists!

Toyo Proxes T1R's are great. I have them up front and the turanzas just don't compare to these.

toyo t1r's are great but don't expect long life from them. Yokies in the C drive and A drive are pretty expensive about 270 each. As for the Fulda's they are German made by bridgestone rev spec factory and are pretty good value for money at @190 each for 215/40/17. I have these on my car and over my last tyres(Goodyear F1's) are way better in every aspect(wet, dry cornering and braking).

So watch out Harry....... :P
