  1. sorry mate, not as easy as the old days before computerised cars, back to the drawing board for you. LOL back to the headers and exhaust system for me then!
  2. ahhh right so it comes back down to the damm computers shutting you down every time you throw some more air at it lol, damm you lol.
  3. Hey Fella's last week a fella member (one of our new ones) emailed me at work and asked a couple of question about his new Aurion and how to improve it and make it unqiue and one of his qustions he asked and one that i could not answer was one on a larger throttle body on Aurion, would it make any difference. I havent being able to stop thinking about it so i did a search and came up with next to nothing which leads me to think that there's a obvious reason why we cant put a larger one our cars as nobody has talked about it much, so what is it lol?

    Phat snaps!

There some pretty neat pics there fellas! here's a few from some recent holidays i took, not in the same league as you guys though :)
  5. lol id near bet paradigms car that these are exactly the same one's he has in his ZR6. Oi! Motherf***er! lol. Yep they are the same as mine. @Helvetica, don't buy them. Not that theres anything wrong with the lights themselves, but they can be had cheaper from ebay. And those were H7s. You'll have a hell of a time getting them into your lights. Haha told you i bet your car on something lol, didnt believe me aye haha And yes H7 won't be much good to you. H11's is what you need. :)
  6. lol id near bet paradigms car that these are exactly the same one's he has in his ZR6. Also the most cost effective performance gains come from the front half of the exhaust if you have he time to trial a few ideas etc lol
  7. they do they do, i have them on my ZR6. You will need the rotors, calipers flexible brake hoses all there fittings and the hose from the brake booster and then they just bolt up as per the standard set up.

how sexy are those F-Sports. look just like a IS-F! might just have to be the Aurions replacment in a few years!

  9. Thanks for your rreply DJKOR and Andrew. K8Canb i reiterate, only vehicles affected by this brake master cylinder recall is MCU28 Kluges and RX330 Lexus. MCX10 Avalon, MCV36 and ACV40 Camry along with GSV40 Aurion are all fine nothing to worry about even though they share components with their American cousins.
  10. We are not bickering about what is acceptable or not... at the end of the discussion it comes down to legality. It's either 35% or lighter to be legal, or get any darker than that and be illegal. Being a forum where sound advice should be provided, it would be stupid to provide advice saying that a darker tint is perfectly fine. As a result, you are going to get a lot of negative discussion towards getting a darker tint regardless of your own opinions and personal choices. This is to protect others from making stupid decisions that even though they had the choice at the very end, their opinions can be swayed by others. It's like saying that speeding is perfectly fine because you consider yourself a great driver. Fact of the matter is that regardless, speeding is illegal. Getting support from others saying that your idea of speeding is acceptable just spreads the ill advice to others that it is perfectly normal. I can't care what you do personally... just don't go trying to support an illegal modification through positive discussion. yerp lets be honest that's A: true and fair enough & B: he's a moderator so maybe best not to mess with him lol
  11. And everyone else's on the road. If your visibility is impaired, you are increasing your risk of a crash, which is more likely than not to involve a third party. && ofcourse if you do have an accident then your insurance company will take quite delight in telling you you're not covered :S
  12. Which all goes to sh*t when something inhibits that perception. I don't care how good a driver you are under normal circumstances, if you chose to drive while looking through a telescope, you no longer have good perception of depth. Bit of an exaggerated example, but point made. I have 35% all round, and even that is a ***** to see through the back windows at night if you're outside the middle of town. Also, if you think just winding your windows down for a few seconds so you can see out to merge is an acceptable amount of visibility, you shouldn't be allowed to drive at night, or probably at all. Lol no messing about with Paradigm hay? straight for the jugular fella, always makes for great quotes though haha. Helvetica Rounded: I’m sure nobody means for their comments to come across as "attacking" or condescending. Just an open bunch of people i guess. But yes I’d check out the Black Az stuff. It may just to the trick.
  13. Personally, being a good driver (on the road) would mean you would have a good clear view of the road with minimal obstruction. Not saying anything negative towards you, but hearing words like that coming from a P-plater doesn't give me lots of confidence if you were to drive around me. Anyone that thinks 20% tint or darker still provides decent visibility at night is kidding themselves and is irresponsible. Ditto! i mean sure dark tint does look sweet as but is it really worth the risk of a defect or it been a pain at night? some of the latest 30% "black az" tints give the affect of been darker than they are. Surely this would suffice lol? but each to their own ocfourse.
  14. That said, combine the headers with the TRD setup and then.... lol how crazy would that be :P imagine the fat torque curve you'd get! would turn you into one ultra smooth driver though :)
  15. 5% lol? Geez? That’s dark. i can’t imagine tint that dark would be much fun at night though? I've heard that it can really knock about your depth deception when merging lanes at night and how close or far away other cars are?
  16. The Toyota Way and TPS (Toyota production system) make for great reading and has been something that's fascinated me and something ive really enjoyed (and at times hated) learning about and experiencing but it is regarded as simply the best practice. Companies like Boeing AMP and NAB just to name a few either use or have adapted the Toyota way or production system.
  17. lol it's a costly excercise but not as expensive as we all first thought but still it would be pretty epic to get all the different little hoses and pipes etc you would need. the main things can be found if you look hard enough and in the right places or know people in the rigth places :P but still wouldnt be easy. Guys at work kee trying to get me to do it but after seeing some of the results from Aurions fitted with headers you get 3/4 of the TRD power and more torque if you want it for no where near the same outlay. seems like the easier option to me!
  18. Well f**k me freddy dont the media have a feild day when it's a Toyota recall? it hasnt even been offically announced as a recall yet as there hasnt been enough affect vehicles... as per the prius recall they make it sound like you'll go for the brakes and nothing will happen when the actually truth is that on a few exaples it's been noted by dealers that there's been dripping at the brake master cyclinder. Sure still a big deal but now as bad as it's been made out to be. As an employee of the big T i feel the need to come to it's defensive as this sort of unfair attention is crap and really annoys me! any other manufacturer has a recal and its tuct away in a corner but as soon as its Toyota it's got to be world news and its holy crap the sky is falling! lol by big brother i was meaning Aurion ya blonde! :P
  19. yeah mine it much nicer, more responsive and smoother picks the right gear when it should and the Sports mode seems quicker and will also defeault to 3rd if your going slow enough :) All in all the new brain and top up of trans fluid was a good move i feel!
  20. Apparently it concerns the master brake cylinder leaking on some models. Other models have problems with a plug on the fuel pump. The news say, that 1.5 million cars are affected, 740000 in the US, 600000 in Japan, the rest elsewhere. Affected models mentioned are: Lexus, Avalon, Crown (generally higher end models). I haven't read about the Aurion yet. In Short no. and it affects the MCX20 Avalon not the model that was sold here (That’s the MCX10)Although MCX20 Avalon does share some components with Aurion this recall does not affect any Australian built vehicle. Only outstanding recalls on Aurion are those i brought up the other day. Only vehicle this action will affect in Australia and at this stage is still only a field repair not a recall is MCU28 Kluger which Toyota has been investigating a slow fluid leak from the brake master cylinder on a few cars. But stay tuned for further news. thats a relief, aussie built ones done properly ! Lol yep we make them the right way here! TMCA is regarded as the best builder of Camry anywhere in the Toyota World, clearly flows across to it's big brother too :P

  22. In addition the item listed above by DJKOR you will also need. Front Engine Idler Bracket P/N: 12315-YWQ01 Intake Manifold Surge Tank P/N: 17190-8Y002 There are a host of other compments such as injectors and Auto trans cooler too but you could get away with not having some of the pieces. Also you can pick up a Charger from Eaton Aust but just clearly wont have the TRD badge or be paitn red either.
  23. Thanks for the reply Adamsy. The two "plastic grommets?" that fitted through the carpet, that are supposed to hold the clips were broken off. Not real good on a car only 14 months old. This left only the two bare holes in the carpet. I have just come back from our Toyota dealer. They didn't have a listing for replacement grommets. The good news is there is an after market kit which they have ordered for me. (at about $7 each X 3 ((1 spare)) Cheers Tom No worries Tom, Happy to help. mmm not sure why they struggled to find it, i found it in under a minute lol. The carpet eyelet kit's P/N is 58510-FFDAB $6.50 each RRP The Floor Mat Clip P/N is 00206-00801 $1.65 each RRP Wouldn't believe. I'm STILL waiting for the carpet eyelets. Thats over a week now. They must be getting them from Mars ;-( So guess you don't want to hear then that we keep them in stock ha :P
  24. @ 1stKill, really mate gotta give those high heels up haha :P
