  1. yes Camry will finally receive the "new" 2.5 2AR-FE and the 6 Speed box. Toyota has asked Dealers to report any issues with Aurion’s 2GR-FE power train so these can be looked into for continued development for future models AKA the next Aurion. We perhaps won't see direct and port injection straight up but they will have to raise power and cut consumption to keep the car competitive in the market.
  2. Yeah guys, the idea of the Rukus was to bring youth and normally non Toyota buyers to the brand, Like all the Vehicle badged with the "by Toyota" tag Toyota does not expect to sell many of these cars a month in fact to keep the unique they would prefer to hit somewhere around its predicted target, these are not volume cars just image builders particular the FT-86 although i think we will be all surprised at just how well the FJ Crusier sells. They are selling really well down here in Northern Tas we have moved a fair few, for a couple of months out dealerships topped Rukus sales whoa go Tassie haha - oi i heard that two headed comment! haha

MM it would be a good idea, certainly has merit but if we was to have any more than five - like one from each state then we'd probably run the risk of too many cooks in the kitchen?
  4. Got the Coil overs ordered :) :)

Yeah cheers guys and girls, yes will do we'll whack them in at work so wil get plenty of pics :)

  5. Out of all the phone brands, we have the most compatibility issues with Nokia's. In most cases there is soft patches available from Nokia to solve this problem. Fujitsu recognise this problem with nokia's and from March onwards production this won’t be a problem in Aurion and Camry.
  6. hey mate, yeah thanks i hadn't thought of that but i'll ask around tomorrow, see if any of the local guys here are up for the challenge, guys who im going to get to do the spray painting almost blew a load when i shown them a few pics of the grill and eyelids on a blue Aurion lol
  7. AWWWWWESOME that's sweet as have to be happy with that! such a great shot too! 14.77 is a good time as the best road test ive seen is 6.8 to 100 and 14.8 of the 1/4. although DJKOR did have a PB of just over 14 from memory on the strip?
  8. Hey guys, looking at getting the thai grill and eye lids and thought i'd ask the question here before doing the over seas thing. Had a quick look around the for sale section but seems there all spoken for but thought it might be worth a shot all the same. Cheers Matt.
  9. Oh, sad to see her go, as Lee said there seems to be heaps of nice Aurions leaving us lately. Buttt what CAI are you running on her?
  10. :) I’ve been waiting for you to post pics of this mod done :P being thinking of doing this to mine but only had a few pics of Elegants car to go off in regards to how it looks on Caribbean blue so was waiting until you had done it to get a better idea lol so thanks :) your doing eye lids too yeah?
  11. SPOT ON! The potential for them to be a great car is there but Ford just doesn’t seem to be able to harness the necessary goods to make it happen :( that's why i really was hoping and half thought that maybe they had done so with the FG, but safe to say they have once again failed! As for the fuel economy, they really did not know where to start looking to even think about fixing the problem and as you can imagine this was much to my displeasure with soon turned to me being more than irate. hahaha brakes yes well the lack there of really. The standard package is totally under done for the type of pace those cars can carry. As i mentioned mine had the "premium package" which i have been told but was never confirmed as just been Territory callipers painted blue with the ford emblem and rotors slotted. it was better than stock ones that’s for sure had ok pedal feel and took a few hard stops but still wasn’t anything overly special, my ZR6 would kill it in that regard for sure! All such a shame really! But i really do wish you luck because as you said when you hit the load pedal for those few seconds you really don’t give a toss for all the cars faults lol
  12. Steven brings up a very good point, but probabley wouldnt be the hardest thing to get around, just gttign it to look stock could be the trickest part. Far out that boot fair flys up with out the extra slight weight of the Spoiler sitting on it's edge, guess that's why that boot lid spring isnt standard across the range
  13. You work in the parts office. Just look it up ya lazy so and so! lol i know I’m a hard worker - have to be to be such a champion ;P but I’m defiantly out of the office by 9:39pm haha. Anyway i don’t have direct access to that information anyway have to go searching over in the service area. fun fun
  14. I know it's dead lazy but i can't be stuffed going out side to unscrew it and measure it lol & i figure one of the clever guys on here will know of the top of their head. So whats the size of the Aurions oil filler cap M37X3? Cheers in advance!
  15. owwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww :) :) :) your pretty handy with that cartoon images good work :) & yes there is a rear window spoiler available for Aurion and i think you would be the first to fit one too.
  16. wow sounds like your really having a rough go with the XR6T but i must say after the problems i had with mine I’m not in the least surprised, these cars are nothing but trouble though, and for me personally just goes to prove i did do the right thing in p!ssing it off when i did.. I did think that maybe just maybe they had got their act together and built the Fg's properly... I had one of the last of the BF's had the "turbine" silver accented body kit and wheels which basically had the Fairmont GHIA interior minus the wood grain (thank god) but plus a Sunroof and "premium brakes". So it was back in 09 the car was 08 with 18,000kms on not a mark on it but that’s where the good times ended... sure it hauled **** like it was nobody's business and after driving several F6's since i believe that mine wasn’t standard because i don’t think the F6's went as good as it. BUTTTT... Average fuel consumption was 23L/100kms... Ford did not know what was wrong and could not fix this.... Sunroof leaked and rattled like a Bitch constantly it drove you mad! - Well have to send the car here there and everywhere to get this LOOKED AT not fixed just looked at.. Had very weird pedal feel and vibrations/shudder from the front brakes - pads/rotors and fluid was replaced but only half solved the problem and Ford was not willing to look any further at the problem Knocking noise from the rear suspension which so I’m told is a common thing with the Blade Control IRS but i said surely not at 18000kms.... Climate control didn’t work properly half the time,Exhaust drowned something shocking So after all this i figured if it this much trouble now what's it going to be like in a few years 50,000kms time?? Really was a shame because it wasn’t a bad looking bus and did steer and drive nice especially on the highway. Some days i miss the stupid wave of torque it had but really over all i happy with the Aurion package I’ve got happening these days.
  17. Make sure you get the ones that are extra slimy . dude you drunk again haha there is only two sizes available? full size and slimline :)
  18. Thanks mate, probably a silly question but is that your Sportivo in your profile pic? IT LOOKS HOTTTT haha yeah looks good and mean! and yes the blue one sure is mine, ive got the mod bug again so will do a few more things again, strating with coil overs and maybe the thai grill and eye lids and the LED's and fix the y merge pipe.
  19. yeah go with the slime line weather sheilds, they look much nicer than the full size ones and set Aurion on very nicely.
  20. That's an awesome ride, one of the better looking Sportivo's for sure, top work!
  21. mmmm just curious what lumens and "k" rating are those HID's? i run 6000k and are far far whiter than these ones? look as if there about 4300k? Anyway isnt there already a pretty indepth step by step guide on how to install HID's in the Aurion section? this would be a good base for the install on any Toyota :)
  22. I haven’t checked on R style for a while but if they say it's for 09- then yes it should fit, reason i didn’t look at R style before posting is that if you notice on the bottom corners of the grill its quite pointed? Just like the grills on the face lifted car as opposed to the smooth rounded edges of "Series one" so that to me suggest it should fit :)
  23. Both actually: Which is a little misleading because despite the fact that E10 fuel can be the equivalent octane rating of premium unleaded, it is only usually around 94-95 octane... not the 98 that the TRD says is the minimum. Yeah that is a little bit contradictory? As you said TRD are very adamant about their car running on a strict diet of 98RON only...
  24. hey mate, i run Rockford Fosgate P1652-S component splits in the front of mine and like other have said they are simply awesome the depth warmth and detail for a car audio speaker is bloody amazing and there very efficient so don’t need a million billion watts to power them, if you can afford the Rockford’s i would really recommend them, i haven’t heard that particular model (actually isn’t that now the superseded model?) but I’m sure there anything like the component speakers you won’t be disappointed and this is coming from somebody who still works a fair bit in the music industry so used to hearing the very best quality from the latest thinking form line array technology and is til love cranking the tunes in my car.
  25. Hey mr_grumble also have a 2009 ZR6 facelift took it in for my 15k service yesterday and as Adamsy said they did a vin search and it came up with nil outstanding recalls i then produced the letter for the led gasket fix and they soon found the recall!! So yeah dont know how we'd go if we had no prior knowledge of the recall. Wow that's a little disheartening too here, that's a recall they should know about for starters and secondly Toyota has the technology out there for dealers to use to source this info and it seems in this case it wasn’t used properly? And the Dealer got caught out when you pulled the recall letter out and said well what about this...
