  1. Until the ******ers get wet and shrink and don't line up in the arches anymore. It's weird your car has done it to two sets now? maybe the bumper is warped?
  2. The Thermo Quiets are a Ferodo Pad so Super cheap Auto could source them for you but i think you may be able to pick them up cheaper from a good Auto store like Repco, Bursons etc, my local store even has them in stock lol and i got a few prices ranging from $84.00-$104.00 so worst case around the same price as genuine pads. Here’s some more info on them mate. http://www.ferodo.co.uk/ferodo_web/thermoquiet.aspx
  3. yeah guys dont confuse the two lol. if you was to put a larger front ANTI-ROLL bar in Aurion you would make it Understeer more which is bad. By sticking a larger rear ANTI-ROLL bar in Aurion you make it understeer less as it makes the rear of the car follow the front and it will turn better in the rear of the car. Stick a much larger rear ANTI-ROLLin the Aurion and you will actually make it over steer. The front strut tower brace just stiffens the front of the chassis up and stops the front towers from moving around under cornering stresses which makes the car "pointier" at the corner and reduce axle tramp.
  4. Thanks for your advice, I will upgrade the sway so I can fiddle with the settings a bit more.. Thanks again Yeah go for it, you won't be disappointed. And really compared to the prices of some of the mods you've done the rear antiroll bar is a pretty cheap mod that has real world benefits so i would defiantly recommend it :)
  5. Yes your spot on the wheel arches are covered in outdoor carpet for noise isolation reasons also makes it quieter when stones flick up in the rear guards. Also looks a bit more upmarket and is really easy to keep clean. Just hit it with your hose when you wash it and you’ll see the dirt wash out of it. I have an old sponge that i used to give them a quick wipe over with if there really dirty but usually just a nice hit of water cleans them up nicely. Good thing really i like it.
  6. BF coons are still sh!te! just how i remember them hahah

  7. have you not got it back yet?..... geejuz!
  8. Hey boys, Yes unfortunately, rotor and pad wear is not fantastic on high performance brake packages and TRD's PBR sourced one is no different. in my experience Im finding the couple of local TRD's that came from my dealer are getting between 40 and 60,000kms per rotors and pads and are having there rotors machined every two or three services (in fact just recently one couple came to us actually very unhappy about the longevity of the brakes on the 3500S) Unfortunately the Stock pads are a very hard in compound and because of this are quite harsh on the rotor face so quite quickly wear the rotors. Youll notice that even after you wash your wheels after a couple of stops they are black as again? Thats just the type of harsh compound of the standard pads and is the very reason i went else wear when i put the TRD package on my car. i would suggest a move away from the genuine pad (ask to see them and youll notice the harsh compound i speak of) and perhaps go to Greg at GSL rally Sport, most of the TRD's are running the HPX pads and i have just recently received their new pad from RAMSA (to replace the Bendix i currently run) which they promise is a better thing again than the HPX. Other than that the remainder are using the standard pads or EBC pads which are also a good thing. I'm currently running Bendix Street Road Track (SRT) and i wouldnt recommend these, they stop very well but are quite noisy and much like the standard pad create a lot of dust and not real friendly on the rotor albeit not as rough as the stock pads. The only other pad i would recommend if youre not into hard driving/braking and wont a nice quiet pad that wont produce must dust then ferodo have their new multi award winning "thermo-quiet" pad available to TRD and this is the way the customer i mentioned earlier is going to go. They won't have the pedal feel or handle the heat like the other mentioned or the stock ones nor will that provide the same retardation and friction so yeah you'll lose a bit of brake feel and performance but again alot in noise dust and life span so if youre not into hard driving where the maximum brake performance is the go then these could be for you??It's really the rotors where we come un stuck there is a few after market slotted ones about but there designed for the Vette or HSV's so you need some holes drilling in them to make them suit Aurion and unfortunately as it stands there is no aftermarket option for the rears (well there wasnt last time i looked) only other thing i could suggest doing and its not something Ive done it go to PBR and see if they can sell you the rotors. Theres a chance they say no as its made for Toyota blah blah but could be worth a crack?. Ill have a look at the price of the rotors see what can be one. But i do know the rears oddly are dearer than the front :-/ but yes to answer your question your car isnt an odd one out and hasnt really been thrashed too much prior to you owning it. Seems too fall between the kays they are all needing at least pads.
  9. Lexus and Toyota GPS DVD's are the same, and will work with either vehicle. Mmm i remember reading something on this sometime ago and something is telling me that for some reason you can’t use the Lexus one in a Toyota and vice-versa but can’t be 100% positive now
  10. Hey, i have coilovers and both the UR front tower brace and 19mm rear anti-roll bar. And it's a great all around package, once you have got the settings sorted out its great and the bigger bar allows you to dial the dampers back a bit for comfort without having the boat like body roll of the Presara and of course make the whole thing a shed load flatter when you tighten the collies up and get serious :) Where you your spring coming into play can make a difference to all this too though.
  11. will be keen as to get his rep mobile back, the coon just isnt doing it for me at all!

  12. will be keen as to get his rep mobile back, the coon just isnt doing it for me at all!

  14. ouch yeah time off really starting to hurt hay? & yeah i wont say too much lol but they should have it sorted for you tomorrow one would think. reminds me i never got time to return there call down there lol <_<
  15. yeah all parts are quality checked before leaving factory and many parts even have a check list in with them that’s gets ticked off before final packaging. Sounds more like human installer error but I’m sure they’ll fix it up quick smart tomorrow chief :)
  16. take the spoilers off the Sportivo and the other chassis tweaks and added braces, underbody aero aids what would you be left with??
  17. FJ crusier is a legendary beast, love it! on a side note i had a good look at he Amarok and gee Hilux might be in for some trouble!

  18. Guys this is really quite straight forward and not a trap at all and has nothing to do with Toyota as each dealer is free to use whomever they want for their used car warranty standard or premium. I'll use my car as an example it was an ex TMCA executive driven car 08 model which i purchased around this time in 09. now i still have the $120.00(now $130.00 for Aurion’s 09>>) service advantage fixed price servicing which i have until the vehicle either runs out of factory warranty or hits 60k (my case it will be ran out of factory warranty)and this was $120.00 per service once yearly for 4 services, interim services are at extra cost and may not be $120.00 now once my car has run out of factory warranty my dealers 3 used car warranty then kicks in and irrespective of your factory warranty conditions and your cars servicing schedule the majority of used car warranties and servicing schedules are every 6 months or 10,00kms. I know it's quite annoying when it comes to a vehicle like the Aurion that is normally a once yearly or 15,000kms service, just means your car gets serviced twice as much as Toyota says , so fresh oils and new filters more often. Too ease your pain feel sorry for VW used car owners, there intervals are at a minimal 15,000kms with some stretched out too 30,000! Under VW warranty and service schedule but yet under most used car warranties they still have to service them 6 monthly or 10,000kms.
  19. Learnt an interesting fact about how TRD goes about there model naming, S and SL doesnt stand for Sports & Sports Luxury at all. Pretty straight forward when you think about the other models in the range, T and TL and H and HL.

  20. mmm perhaps we'll handball that one on to super moderators or management. guess there has to be certain advantages to be a club supporter though?
  21. It’s worth remembering of course that the old Avalon/Camry power train was far more grandpaish when compared to the power train in the Aurion. The 36 series never really went they was just smooth and of course you just wacked the auto in D and tended to leave it there as there wasn’t much point in changing it. Plus it was just a dead basic four speeder and it had an external cooler to help out as well which if you believe the research can easily double the life of the tranny. looking at the Aurion you have far more power (more power at the wheels then the 36 series did at the crank)6 speed box with a manual over ride so between that and far more useable power and torque and the ability to use a decent amount of engine braking the tranny is up for a much harder time but does without a trans cooler.. That’s why when i learnt more about what an eternal unit can do for a tranny it was the next mod i did lol, worthwhile thing for $100!
