  1. Hi and welcome to the Toyota family and Aurion Club! :)
  2. Clearly this happened from drivng the wheels of the machine trying to keep up with a certain blue one through st marys pass :P
  3. orrrrrr you could just pick up the rubber inserts from your Toyota dealer for like $6.00 each lol :)
  4. Hi and welcome, Congratulations on your Aurion purchase i'm sure you won't be dissapointed. :)

      Blitz S/C is a start...

  6. Rear sway bar for sure will make the biggest difference straight up. And the front strut tower brace compliments and ad’s it's only certain something to the handling mix. Get both but if you have to get one first then go the 19mm (most agree 22mm is a bit "extreme" for road use in Aurion) sway bar first up :)
  7. lol Come in a buy one and you can see one on the road in shop windows and in your garage every day :P :D

Focus RS? no way there resale is very poor and not at all built very good. plus were a VW dealer as well so pricing/availbility isnt an issue and i really dont think a fwd focus would stick with the all paw golf, its grip levels are insane and cranking the power out of them is dead easy 1250bucks sees 240kw! and the inside just feels right, like a car that is meancing with out needing huge wings and spoilers lol

im not sure lol, thats the only thing holding me back is the fact that there is so much time effort and well coin in the Aurion and i kind of like the big sedan thing too its just a damm nice car to drive and be i , plus it does look the goods on the street haha well from what i can tell in shop windows anyways lol

  9. oooooo nooooooooo Very tempted by he Golf R......

  10. But when you look at it... what does it say about the differences in design between the two. LOl does it need saying that their systems just aren’t designed right in the first place?
  11. Dammm, back to the drawing board then although that’s no surprise lol. Why are these cars so hard to make noticeable gains from? O well enjoy the car for what it is! Still though is rather annoying when you know these types of mods yield results for the falcodore boys.
  12. Few of the lads from work and i have had an idea for the intake system on the Aurion, doubt it would actually do anything. Probably just make the induction noisy if anything but ill share it anyway just for a giggle. We all know how the induction system is split into on the Aurion yes? Top scoop goes through a butterfly straight to the air box assembly and just under the main scoop there's another pipe that goes straight down through a resonator and into the air box? Well under slight throttle applications I.e driving around town the engine is drawing it's air though the bottom channel and resonator as the top line with its butterfly only snaps open when the engine takes a nice deep breath under heavy load etc. SOOOOOOOO idea was to take the bottom section of pipe that goes to the resonator and reroute it so it draws its air from down behind the bar much in the same way the fujita CAI does but of course there will still be the top induction system from the front snorkel as well so that under heavy engine loads it draws its air from two different places on the car if you follow? (top section from the snorkel through the butterfly to the airbox and from down low behind the front bar area through to the air box) Would it work or would it just make a god horrid noise and be a waste of a afternoon lol? First time it got brought up the idea was to remove the resonator and pipe section completely and go straight from behind the bar to the bottom of the air box but i guess there's no reason why it couldn't just mount onto the resonator then through to the air box, that way it might take out some of that "sucking" noise that people have noted seemed much louder once they had swapped to the K&N and Fujita systems. Anyways start pointing out the holes in the plan lol?
  13. End of Financial year sale, out LE Aurion White is now $44,990 D/Away!!! Prices are coming down good people!
  14. hey mate, Did you end p taking it back to Co-op about it? when i drove it down in Hobart the other week it seemed to have a bit of free play before it would bight when you really gave the wheel a good turn. didn't seem to be as fast in the rack as mine when you quickly go left to right left to right?
  15. Yeah i tend not to use my HID foglamps around the city these days, just use it on the back roads or in the day when it rains or when the bass strait sea fog hits town lol.
  16. Yeah it sounds more like a tyre pressure and lack of rotation thing to me. Yes a large powerful Fwd sedan isnt going to be the nicest car ever made on its tyre but with some simple care you can get the best life out of your tyres. I have directional tyres on my Sportivo (245/35ZR19 93Y) and they have so far done 29000kms and still have an easy 55% - 60% left on them and that's on a car that cops a fair bit of stick on some brutal Tasmanian road trips so they certainly havent had an easy life. Paradigm got just over 90,000kms on his standard Michelin Energy tyres before they got a bit dicey to drive hard on. I have my tyres rotated front to rear every service and at my last service a few weeks ago they measured all around the tyres and they all seem to of warn almost exactly the same. Might just pay for you to get your wheel alignment checked and keep an eye on tyre pressures and rotate those wheels :)
  17. thats a good question, one i wouldnt mind an aswer too myself. i too run 245/35 and thought maybe 245/40's might give a slightly better ride due to there being more rubber to absorb the bumps on the road.
  18. Yerp it's a shame there is some average Sales execs within our dealerships who truly don’t have enough knowledge of the products and brand to truly sell the benefits of our cars.. The White should being a good thing. The words limited edition only 250 built (& 1 of two in the state) do funny things to people and causes some urgency among the potential buyer because (if you’ve sold the car properly) they won't want to miss out on the car. Had this working to a tee UNTILL they seen the Aurion Touring... looked at it, sat in it, seen the price, drove it loved it and the colour and bought that sucker instead. GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY THOSE SUCKERS! But as one of the DP's said at the dinner at national Skills Last year - "Imagine how impressive, amazing and incredibly rich in both knowledge an finances a dealership could be if all these champions worked in the one place, It would be the ultimate lifelong buying experience"
  19. are these sold to gain a break even or what? In selling them so cheap, are they even achieving a profit as they probably desire? cant say for sure but id say thats a lose on that car and look it "happens" sometimes just have to cop it to make a car go but i think Scud at YVT is onto a better thing, 42990 d/away is still a damm good price and theres still a small buck in it for his dealer and himself too.
  20. Just did a quick look on car sales and there's one on there for $39888!!!!!
  21. wow damm that is cheap as, thats knocked what 7k off the price..! makes the list price what a little bit over 38 and a half? or a much better by than Prodigy. Somebody buy this car! Know prizes for guessing what i'll be doing tomorrow :P
  22. Just sounds like torque steer really. You'll soon adjust your driving style around this and in time it'll seem less pronounced as you become a little smoother lol. But it may pay just to get it checked over make sure everything is tight and as it should be in the front end. Even if it just puts your mind at ease.
  23. Hey, Hayman Reese is the only company around that has a bar available for Aurion with a removable tongue. Everybody else only offers one that is similar to the genuine bar with the tongue is bolted to the main bar or some are even just one whole piece. Hayman Reese dealers tend to be either 4wd accessory outlet or caravan dealerships. Best of luck.
  24. Hi guys, Sorry for the late reply BIG WEEKEND!! lol Ok there not actually replacing the entire centre ornament just made a "tech" change as to how the retainer rings (which TRD269 you appear to be missing for some reason :-/) and how they sit in/on the ornament. the change is design to hold them better in place so they don’t spin around but also easier to remove for serving, they are also supplying a blue special tool to help remove them so people please put down your screwdrivers DEALERS INCLUDED lol and yes DJ has the right approach to taking them off and once you have made a gap they you will simply use the tool to prize them off. DJS - yep sounds like they’ve used some Toyota Black to glue them back on... my dealer has damaged one getting it off thankfully they had the actually alloy covered so it only scratched the ornament but we also found some marks on another two which we didn’t know if we had done or not and the customer also didn’t know so we just replaced three of them to be done with it. But yeah if you have had problems with your tyre store or dealership it might not be such a bad idea to take the ornaments off at home first just them if they do get scratched you can hate on yourself not the store lol
  25. lol you guys are lucky to have the choice! Its only being recently that there has being Vortex98 available in my part of the state so BP 98 was the only option. i have tried both and i personally prefer the BP fuel so I’ve stuck with that since and have never had an problem and the car feels very smooth and refined. On a side note too i added some luqui molly products during the last service and that’s made a difference too, noticeably the right hand exhaust tip is much cleaner after a good thrashing where as before it would be a little black and slightly discolored the chrome a little if you didn’t wash it off not that it was bad in the first place it was quite normal but i have noticed a reduction of grime etc on the exhaust tips since the last service. So i think ill use that every 50,000kms and another one of there products every second service.
