yerpp all true, whilst the power train plant under go's its refit both the 4 cyl engine and updated 6 cyl will holy be sourced from Japan and already the 2GR is being completed built and sourced from Japan as opposed to final assembly being completed at Altona like what was going on for a few years up until just recently. Once the plant under goes its major overhaul both the new 2.5 2AR-FE 4cyl and updated 2GR V6 Aurion Power plant will be cast completely built here in Australia. Camry starts being built in around October i think they said with Hybrid and Aurion to start early in the New Year. When we was at Altona the other day we was told that if we see a bunch of people surrounding a car could we please not look... "Why" we asked, Oh it's just that it will be either the new Camry or Aurion... "right so we shouldn’t look whilst looking the most we can then?" but no matter where i looked i couldn’t see one anywhere :( apparently they were a little hesitant about having other Toyota staff about in the facilities with the new cars "kicking about" so the either hid the cars orrrr they were just having us on trying to get us a bit excited lol.
  3. On the Toyota Website, the recommended driveaway price in ACT is $48,841.50 yeah i think the difference comes down to each dealers different dealer delivery costs. i put in your dealer and came up with $49,460 or $200.00 less than what it works out to be lol
  4. had an excellent day at Altona :)

what did u do? swim? :D

  5. Oh hell yeah lol so much so there is a facebook page about it http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=43686324934&v=wall these pics actually make it look semi- impressive i was trying to get a pic of it with one of the Spirit Passenger liners in the back ground to show how stupid it looks but watching the spirits arrive and depart is kind of an "Attraction" for families so getting a car park along the rim especially by the river mouth is challenging so i gave up in the end lol. If it cost $22000 you’d say yeah ok but at 220000 it doesn’t give you much value for the coin...
  6. Sweeeet. I've been wanting to get DRLs on my silver zr6 at that spot but I didn't know how it would look. Awesome. I'll probs go for the phillips one. Was it difficult to install? I'm an undergrad engineering student with no modding experience. Do you think that I would have trouble installing it? Oh and for the inline kill switch, I was thinking of putting a similar one beside the park sensor button. How did u do yours? Mine are cheap LED's the drl ones wire in differently, there is a link if you look adamsys posting. Ahhhh god damm i must get these installed some day before im 100! they look cool as :)
  7. Hey there welcome to the club. Your right the Aurion being a Toyota is a rock solid bus and there isn’t really any issues with the car that you could consider and major problem or drawback of the breed. Just need to make sure it has a good service history that’s had good oils used in particular the Sportivo’s that may of being driven harder other than that just make sure the VVT-i oil hose recall has being completed other than that only real issues that have plagued the car is a dash rattle that is fixable by Toyota and some cars have a slight flare issue in the auto box when there stone cold but really is a small amount of cars other than that there bulletproof thus far and some have covered some big distances since there 06 launch.
  8. Off to Altona tomorrow! Oh tash pics of "spirit of the sea" statue are up too :)

    1. Tash

      Tash

Bahahahaha! That thing is totally awesome :)

Hope you're having a good day in Altona!

  9. mmm Really 51k??? i just priced it up quickly and i can do the one in our showroom for $49,660 D/Away... i'd say they will be hanging on to theres at 51k for a little while lol. me thinks somebody should photoshop the TRD S 19inch wheels onto one of these :P

    2012 Camry

mmm chances are good this is it lol? head lamps remind me of the new Liberty and the side panals remind me off the new i45 lol?
  11. yummy yummy coil over’s! I’m still loving mine, have done some further adjusting for a nice every day ride with still good road holding ability, just need to tweak them up a few notches for some serious fun :) but a few months down the track I’m still happy as with them, only thing to look out for is to make sure he lock tabs stay locked my rear ones have both become loose not overly loose but enough so you can easily undo them with your fingers with ease twice now. Other than that there a good thing :) U54MOT, hey mate it took a couple of hours to get the old ones out new one sin, ride height set and wheel alignment done :)
  12. lol here we go some pics of the controversial "Spirit of the sea" statue all $220,000 of it.... untitled8862.bmp
  13. OHH i got the chance to jump in the FJ Crusier around the 4WD demo track at agfest, has t be said considering it was on H/T tyres it was awesome throught the mud and bog holes, very impressive rear Diff lock and A-Trac are good things. Give it some decent boots and maybe a slight lift nothing crazy and it would be a very sweet weekend warrier!

  14. ahh off to work at the crack of dawn at Agfest

  15. FJ Crusier club??? i knwo its a fourby but its a little cooler than the rest and deserves its own one?

  16. lol anybody would think i sell crap for a living haha. Nah despite the bad rap and mud slinging Tassie cops from you mainlanders :P it is a very beautiful natural state and please take all the business of logging and woodchips etc with a grain of salt, its only ever a tenth of the truth and only ever the save the trees hilly biilys (who are actully stopping actual employed hardworking people from goinf about there job) side of the story. There is plenty to see and do and in a week they won't even get close to seeing a quarter of it. Also a nice little get away spot close to Devonport is Portsorell/Shearwater, it's about ten mins east of dev not to far from the airport and is kind of considered our own little peice of the Gold Coast, amazing beaches and coves but hugely populer with locals of the area.
  17. LOL. You guys all copied the one and only. Damn I miss that car. As for me, today I drove it to Mooloolaba and back. Then had birds crap on it. That's about all. yeah that's the spot lol! and well i ummmm??? welll drove the long way to work to dodge some pretty dodgy roadworks and thats about it lol, is due for a service this month though ha :)
  18. Foss has hit the nail on the head here few others i'd like to add: If they venture down the east coast and are in the Coles bay Freycinet area they really must experience both the Bay Of Fires and Wine Glass Bay both of which made it to the top 10 or 100 beaches in the world last year. Hobart way they of course there is Port Arthur, a dining must is the Henry Jones Art Hotel, must visit the Salamanca markets on the weekend. Not sure of your parents tastes but other popular activities in the area is what i think they call these days the coal river wine route or something to that affect and peppermint bay cruises. if they have time bruny island is a nice place to spend a few peaceful days. i have only being there since myself and that was when i was young on an entire family trip lol. I know there is dolphin and seal watching cruises there now though. Strahan perhaps the jewel in Tasmanias crown. You cant visit Tasmania and not go there, the world is your oyster here. Activities include the wildness railway, which was rebuilt to celebrate the massive achievement the original track was back in the olllllldddd days. Gordon river cruises, jet boating, water aeroplane scenic flights, piners and miners - pan for gold whilst you go on a 4wd wildness drive, fishing charters and of course Bonnet island where you can see the "little penguins" aka fairy penguins lol. Moving north a stop at Stanley and the "nut" would be a great lunch stop, beautiful coast town that thrives in summer and have a giant **** rock which i think is volcanic rock millions of years old you can climb if your keen or take a chair lift to the top for an amazing view of the Tasmanian coastline. Cradle mountain sells itself so i wont bother saying any more there. Launceston(second Largest city in Tasmania) an easy hour drive east of Devonport, this region is very rich wine country and there is a wine trail called Tamar valley wine route. cataract Gorge is a go too, and actually is home to the worlds longest single span chair lift ride and has a thingo bridge too, cable one suspension bridge is that it lol? Anyway is very popular with tourists. There is a few museum too, queen victory museum and a car museum too called national automobile museum of Tasmania, worth a look and all the usual city things to do, shopping mini golf, indoor tennis that sort of thing. now if they do end up in paradigm and my home city of Devonport( City with Spirit which apparently is meant to have no relation to the fact we are the home port of the Twin spirit passenger vessels oh and is 3rd largest city in Tas we feel sorry for them and no doubt its only to catch the SOT (Spirit of Tasmania) back home. nah thatis rough things to do whilst waiting include: Australian weaving mills factory outlet Devonport regional gallery also has something big going on apparently again not my thing so tend to skip over what happens there lol. Home Hill is an interesting one, its the residence of the late Edmund Lyons the only Tasmania prime minister weve ever had. Tasmania Arboretum - yeah trees, grass land, gardens ponds , bbq area etc etc usual stuff arboretums have lol Don River Railway - has the largest collection of steam locos and oldschool carriages in Tassie Tiagarra aboriginal centre- speaks for itself take a journey throw Tasmanias aboriginal history, bit of walk there too with some "rock carvings" which i dunno have also seemed a little suss to locals haha but look they reopened the centre as the demand was there so guess tourist like it. The maritime museum and heritage centre incl the restored ketch Julie Burgess, Devonport is the gateway to Tasmania for not only passengers and freight but oil, gas, grain cement & fuel so has an incredibly rich maritime history, the museum has recently under gone a massive shake up and is now actually worth checking out so id recommend a visit there. Other activities include shopping, Go-karts, Mini Golf, Target Golf and a properly good 18 hole Golf course, Ten pin bowling alley and arcade place, fairly decent 3D Cinema complex (C-MAX, Yes think I-MAX)and a place called pandemonium which is an indoor adventure centre that has things like Laser Skirmish, indoor rock wall and science centre. Now you mentioned websites, Tasmanias tourist industry in dominated massively by one company - federal resorts, hotels & casinos and they run their whole tourism business under one banner and successful brand - Pure Tasmania here is the website check it out http://www.puretasmania.com.au/home.html Govt run site is http://www.discovertasmania.com.au/ Lol Foss just on the spirit of the sea sculpture dont forget the water feature and lighttsss wowowowowowow! the dumb thing is meant to welcome people to Devonport yet the thing faces the wrong way, all you see of it when entering the river is it back and lets be honest when your leaving the river aboard the 200m Spirits you are not going to see much of that damm thing lol 200k well spend yep sounds like the Dev council hahah
  19. lol i copied paradigm and put mine on the rear glass section of the rear door just in the corner. :)
  20. yeah nice we got our in the showroom today right in front, was there about an hour and somebody took it for a test drive, so our only one (there’s only two down in Tas) may be gone already, although they are going to go drive a few other cars, maxima and accord V6 that sort of thing but certainly looks the good in the showroom. Your right it’s good to have some excitement in the LM range to keep the numbers ticking over until stocks can be replenished, were starting to get quite down now which is scary as I’m sure you’re the same because of this if you want a vehicle today out of stock you'll pay closer to full book price then you may of done prior to the disaster. Days of great driveway deals are defiantly gone for at least the short term! Japanese companies are hit hard with all of this but Toyota seems to of got a pretty good handle on it at the moment though.
  21. damm you have yours in your showroom already? ours is still at PD so have only had a quite sticky at it, but i quite like the look of it id prefer the Sportivo grill though, shame the wheels aren’t a inch bigger but not bad looking, provides good contrast but i love the rear it looks awesome and perfect VIP look. Only had a quick sit in it but i didn’t mind the look of the seats though. it was a bit different and in your face, very comfy and possibly more supportive than the Sportivo seats. if i was to have a white car id have to go crystal pearl i don’t mind it at all especially in the sun, even though it’s a biatch to colour match, over all kudos to them for giving something like this a try, just hope from a sales point of view that Toyota is on the money with people wanting a car like this so guess time will tell.
  22. Oh man i've being sitting on this bit of info and pcis for almost a week now, it's a good looking thing i quite like it, interior is something i quite like, the seats are a mixture of prodigy and sportivo the over all interior i liked but it seemed to be some what a split of 50/50 likers haters in our sales team, ill see if i can get some interior pics up tomorrow. Note the movement of the Aurion badge on the boot? fairly sure the alloys are camry sportivo just in charcoal, shame they didnt make the move to 18's with some more width too.
  23. Really? Last time tires were a concern for me (ie. not long ago), they were still an annoying size. Potenza Adrenalin at about $400 a pop, and S. Drives at $430. Speaking of which.... I am NEVER buying Yokohama again for a FWD unless I have a bit of money to burn. As far as it goes, Federals are doing the job quite well and have decent wear for me to consider it again. Using the 595SS's at the moment and will go 595EVO on the next round. Unfortunately these have been on quite a backorder so I have to wait. But as the original question asks for best cost efficiency with respect to mileage, I'd say the 595SS. They have more 'meat' than the 595EVO and are of course cheaper as mentioned. LOL 245/35ZR19 93Y? There reasonable common among large sedans? locally Y and Z series HSV's use that size as does every 19inch wheeled FPV since that brand has being kicking about,300C also run it and some of the German brands, so it certainly shouldn’t be hard to get hold of them?
  24. 12(IO) as this will supply the power to the parkers in the wiring diagram I modified. damm hope your charging by the post hahah, make a killign dude lol :)
  25. Lol well i guess the very best would be a R compound tyre like Michelin cup pilot, Bridgestone Potenza and Dunlop but that a little extremememememe! and if your not too concerned about outright grip and adhesion then you may even want to give directional and asymmetric tyres and just go for normal ones, but yes good all round tyres with grip, not to noisy and get a decent amount of kays out of with pretty good high levels of all round road holding then it’s hard to go past either the kumho KU31 or KU19, for the price these are pretty hard to go past! other than that I’m really happy with the FK452's on my car, there performance rates just a bee's you know what ahead of the KU's but wear a little sooner, there used extensively by guys at Legana seca for day cracks. World is really your oyster though as this is a pretty damm popular size these days :)
