  1. Yes tourque converter and labour too. Gee with only that many K's i guess it was a dud. Thats interesting about the bloke in darwin. Maybe we are finding out the service life of the transmission. At 10g a pop its a bit scarey. Nah i wouldn’t be convinced 200k is the normal service life, we have an At-X that gets serviced at work which had 380k on it, i remember this well because when i read the R/O i went a found the car and had a good look at the car just to see how the cars were holding up with high kays on them. Encouraging other than the wear marks on the seat covers it seemed pretty damm good

  5. sometimes you just never know whats round the corner. you can mother your car and it can still fail, I've seen it happen to my collegues. Ouch crap that hurts hay :-/ !! if we had a day or two i could of got the tranny and torque converter in for you and sent it down to Hobart try and save you afair bit of dough but you really need her back on the road asap hay. I worked some figures out today (even had to whip out the calculator "n" all) Is the work been down through Co-oP?
  6. MMMM No harder than usual, it is a taxi with 210k on the clock. guess i will find out in the morning.fluid was changed at 150k. Mate give us a call at work tomorrow after you have run the IT over it and know what it reckons is wrong with it. My first thought that it must of been low on fluid when you first phoned me but if it was flushed at filled 60k ago it should be ok but worth getting checked just the same and like you described n the phone about it been ok when you turn it off and back on so could be an ECU thing or speed input sensor gone spastic? But yeah let us know when you find out see what can be done :)

      cruzer

And now there is sun in sydney woooooooooooooooooo

  8. yeah unless things have changed in the last month they are still diverted Aurion onto a side line to has these fitted, in fact there was a backlog of Aurion’s just recently because now you can get the sunroof without needing to tick the sat nav option but you still get the extra reading lamps over the rear seats. Also yes if you were to need a new turret the roof skin is totally different for those cars with sun roofs so you wouldn’t have to cut a hole and brace again if you ever had to put a new rood skin on for whatever reason. I'll ask the question tomorrow to be sure that things haven’t changed
  9. You won't really be able to tell by looking if it has a new ECU, if you’ve drive it and it shifts fine nice and smooth then either it has a new one or this one hasn’t needed it, not many cars have, usually if the U660E starts to shift a bit abrupt it usually means there a little low on fluid,9/10 times just topping it up has sorted it out but there has been a few vehicles that have had the updated ECU put in which has solved it, only way to find this out would be to get your dealer to run a check on the car and see what work has been done to it. Other than that there pretty unbreakable.
  10. Only real issues that there has been with Aurion is a dash rattle which has been fixed under warranty so that shouldn’t be a drama and just make sure the VVT-i oil hose has been replaced, should see the recall sticker on the a pillar when you open the driver’s door, other than that there a pretty bullet proof car and nobody has too much of a dram with them other then the odd car having a flare in the transmission but again either a new ECU or fluid top up seems to fix that up other than that good luck with your search and welcome to the club! - AURION Game Has Changed, Make Your Move! haha sorry just had too haha!
  11. Well as far as this forum is concerned you would be the first i believe to have there’s rebuilt, other than that there has only been one replaced under warranty other than that nobody has really had any issues with the U660E Transmission, nothing that either having the Series two ECU or fluid top up hasn’t fixed anyway. I'll assume you’re dealing through CO-OP?
  12. Noticed today that VW parts have expiry dates lol :-/

LOL who would know, who would know lol BUT i do love the Golf R 190kw AWD 19inch wheels massive brakes 6sp DSG, sharp tight chassis just how a hot hatch should be! and 2k later you can have it at 240kw 440nm!

  13. Give your salesman a kick up the **** i say..... And perhaps have him take a trip to Altona lol. Aurion and Camry are taken off the main assembly line and diverted to a short side line where the factory sunroof is fitted they then return to the main line. Holden and Ford use the same company which fit them after the car is built and left the line, this is why you may have noticed why both manufactures had a recall on the sunroof just recently and Toyota didn’t. As for mudflap unfortunately there a no go on any of the sports models due to the sports side skirts
  14. Oh why oh why would anyone buy it then? For that price you might as well buy a high end GPS device or for way more half than that price buy updated maps for your GPS device. Well yes whilst it true you cold buy a new Navman, Tomtom or Garmin every couple of years for he price of the update but the reality is if your car has the 7inch touch screen indash system you arent actually going to buy an aftermarket satnav that's just stupid and pointless? Also the Where IS software in the factory system tends to be a little clevier and on the money then the aftermarket units but yes why it's so exxy i have no idea, we'd sell three times as many if it was half the price!
  15. For the Guys and Girls who have being asking lately V17 Where Is maps for the Genuine Sat Nav system has just been released P/N: PZQ86-00201

  16. Since there has being a few queries on the newest where is disc for genuine sat nav i am pleased to inform you all that V17 has been released and now is for sale, price however s still a killer. P/N: PZQ86-00201 RRP $325.00
  17. Hey guys, don’t stress this disaster won’t affect parts availability or price in Australia. Very shortly dealers here will be moving to new parts system and in readiness for this TMCA will be holding a much larger stock holding of parts. So stock shortages isn’t going to be an issue any time soon. on the flip side a little later on this year i will be making a trip to Toyota in Japan so this has hit home pretty hard and even though we will mainly be based in the south I’m still not sure what to expect :S
  18. Coilovers for sure, good thing make i hard or soft, high or low as you like then
  19. yes i think i must, just got to get the money together. bit tight at moment. Didn’t win the lotto last night then lol? hay have had an idea put to me yesterday when we was fitting the oil cooler, we had half of the induction system pulled off, just the front "scoop" and lower pipe that goes to the resonator. Amway since the electronic butterfly in the main part of the induction just after the scoop but prior to the air filter assy only snaps open under hard engine loads and the engine is "sucking air" from the lower pipe the rest of the time it was suggested that you might get better or more air flow if that bottom pipe was reworked/rerouted to get its air from the lower bumper i guess a little bit like a CAI would. You fella's that have some experience with induction on Aurion tell me your thoughts; think it would do anything or just a waste of time lol? The way i see it is that it’s pretty much still getting a similar amount of air but just from two difference places??? Many of us actually remove the lower pipe altogether for a slightly louder induction noise - it provides minimal power gain (if any) the Aurion v6 appears to get better gains from exhaust upgrades as opposed to intake upgrades (not including forced induction obviously). I'm hoping to get some real world testing on my modified exhaust once it's back on the road early April. Just out of interest, since the electronic butterfly doesn’t snap open until the engine really comes under load how does it breathe if you take the lower pipe out of the system? Between my mate and i we have enough pipe etc to try this system he suggested so just for sh!t giggle might give it a crack see what it does. But you do seem to be right, biggest gains seem to come from exhaust work which when you think about it makes sense, the induction side of things on Aurion isn’t a bad set up.
  20. Yeah sorry to be the bearer of bad news on that one, like i said it would be technically possible but would not be as straight forward as buying the bumper and bolting it on as most of the front is unique to Aurion. And let’s be honest do we need to give people any more excuses to call Aurion a Camry haha? But your right Camry Sportivo is a good looking bus. Just wish Toyota would put 18X8 as standard on its Sportivo’s though!
  21. Well if you follow the flow it goes Transmission -> radiator oil cooler -> external oil cooler -> transmission, that's the way we did it as this seems to be the way 9 out of 10 people have rigged there’s. this is also the best way to get the coldest fluid back to the trannie, but yes i guess it depends on your local environment and where you plan on driving as to which way would be best suited to your car i suppose? I’m not sure if it has something to do with the cooler or whether it's because of transmission now has a litre or so of fresh fluid but it shifts even smoother than it did before literally half the time you'd swear it was a CVT you don’t feel nor hear the transmission shift, always was smooth but yeah even better now!

  23. I was blown away to see that the magnets on the rear speakers are the size of 5cent peices :P but they seem to work ok! yeah you’re not wrong they do work quite ok for factory sound particularly when you see the size of the magnets and the flimsy quality materials used. But then Aurion does have what’s known as "psychoacoustics" which simply gives you the illusion of a much tighter cleaner sound with increased low end response but it's really not there at all lol just tricks the brain, but yes does work and when you put some good quality speakers in there the sound it great and if you go to the next step an put ones from the top brands like Focal, Rockford, Vibe, Boston etc in the sound is awesome but in grown up nicely balanced way not in your p plate doof doof way lol
