  1. OK then. If you go out tomorrow morning to find your car on blocks and your brakes missing...... it wasn't me... ;) haha where do you want me to leave the alloywheel lock nut tool? tied up somewhere just out of your reach? Impossible.... ...you can't reach that high! :P YA MUM IS!
  2. Been thinking of that actually. Someone in the US had his fogs like yours and looks bangin, i dont know how my blueish HID fogs would go with the yellow tint on top. maybe if i got a spare 30 layin round ill buy the 3k bulbs yeah it certainly does look meaner and more likely to rip your head off! i dont mind the look of facelift Aurion but still personally prefer Series One. The other day we went to get my car from my private parking spot to have a play with the Coil over settings after work and i let my work mate drive it back to work and he came flying up behind me and i thought oh damm that does look tough in your mirrors in it's lowered state! still want to play with the grill though
  3. What a Feral machine! What size tyres do you run on that? in standard trim she could be a little “happy” around round abouts etc can’t imagine what 310 at the wheels would be like, mental love it!
  4. DAMMM!!! I hope somebody from Toyota Style Australia is seeing this! thats amazing work, one tough Camry. And i Agree with DJKOR, the Camry Sportivo looks lower and meaner and i personaly think better than the Aurion Sportivo, facelift Sportivo has grown on me but i do see the the camry and think "yeah no that looks tougher"
  5. Got his RAMSA pads today, can get rid of the awesome but nosiy bendix SRT's now! :)

  7. Which dealer is this?! For the price my dealer quoted me, I could post my rotors away to have them done for $60 and still have change! The going rate for a pair on car down here is $120+, even at non-dealer workshops! Oh stop sooking you big girls Blouse lol, just get new ones hahah
  8. Oh dude dont say that lol, ill keep looking at mine and waiting for this to happen now haha
  9. Hey Tash, The K (kelvin) rating of any lamp be it Xenon or halogen is of the light temperature and not it's "brightness", throw or power. The Kelvin rating starts at 1000k which is a dirty yellow colour them moves through to around 3000k which is whats referred to as Tungsten then on 5000-5400k which is regarded as the most pure white light, 6000k which tends to be the most common is white with a blue tinge and then after that you get bluer until you get to around 10000-12000k where it will go purple and then it it’s pretty much useless light and really only good as a party piece. Now lumens is a bit of a tricky one as there is also the little thing of "lux" to be taken in consideration.. but to keep things simple essential Lumens is the base measure of a lamp/fixtures power or "brightness output" as at the end of the day watts isn’t the be all end all much in the same way as a car engine capacity isn’t the definitive limiting factor in which engine can make more power.. to compare to apples with apples roughly a 55w halogen globe like what’s in Camry produces around 1200-1400 lumens in a set controlled environment and a 35w HID would produce something like 3200 -3400 lumens(Lm) and lux takes in account the total area that the luminous flux (spread of lumens) is spread, basically more lumens can be spread over a larger longer wider area. A larger area needs more lumens to be lit properly but throwing watts of power at it isn’t necessarily the answer. It's also incorrect to consider lux as a measure of lamp brightness as not all of the luminous flux is received by the human eye, and brightness is a perception of light and should only be used for non quantitative references to physiological sensations of light i hope that makes half sense, not something I’ve had to try and explain to anybody who’s not within the professional lighting side of things of the music industry and working with these kind of things so it's a little tricky, so let me know if you can’t quite follow and ill have another crack at it for you :) But essentially the two brands that make the best discharge lamps are Phillips and Osram, why? Because no other brand has the R&D or real world experiences and expertise of these two. Between them they supply all the lighting manufacture for the music and entertainment industry many of which make fixtures that produce in excess of 31000 lumens! In some pretty harsh environments
  10. oh serious, why didnt i do this coilover thing before, SWEET AS!

  12. within the last week i have spoke to two oh our HSD Camry owners (interesting enough both about the Smart start/Access system) and one who used to own a diesel i30 consistently gets 6.2 L/100 which he is impressed by as his small smaller i30 averaged 5.8 he loves it an cant praise it enough, the other owner weirdly enough is a older gent who averages 7.0 but does a bit of highway driving as they live out of town and he tells me he doesn’t drive it any different to any other car he’s had and from what he and his wife was saying he’s quite a lead foot, so if your average somewhere is the sixes i think your doing well? You have a large sedan with plenty of get up and go that uses around the same as a Yaris! But much quieter smoother, and a better handling vehicle. age old story this one, in certain environments the Aurion is actually much better on fuel than Camry, if you’re a bit of a lead foot likes to get away from the mark and up to speed quickly and really making the Camry rev to get you there you'd find the Aurion would be more relaxed and wouldn’t have to work as hard to extract the same amount of performance therefore could prove to be better on juice in this particular example.
  13. Further more not all the rocker switches are the same shape. there is one available for the landcruiser but it's hell expensive! there is a Narva one that fits in the Aurion However, just not sure of it's number now though sorry.
  14. wow that was prety epic, coil overs are in, toe in adjusted but still have to do the camber, what settings are people running out of 30? and how hard or soft is your spring set?

ok cheers for that, i currently have them at 18 on the front and 13 on the rear with the spring wound pretty much to soft just so there is some pressure on it, might have to wind it up a bit, im guessing most ppl leave the spring set to the default out of the box settings?

    3. -DAvo

      -DAvo

10 front 8 rear for me... its all about the comfort :p

      Adamsy

wow that is soft? what about the spring how tight? ive got the shocks at 19 and 14, need to make the front spring a litle firmer and the rear a bit bit firmer and hopfully that and the camber/toe been set properly should be a good thing, it feels good now can really feel the potential :)

  15. Coil overs go in tomorrow :)

  16. Is heading to the home of the BIG T later this year to see how things all work :)

  17. What you've described is a easier process then what we go through to program keys and remotes? how could theives know a Toyota system better them Toyota themselves? & make shortcuts?
  18. Even if you could somehow program a key and cut it to open the door of an Aurion what are you going to do about the whole starter button problem on Presara, ZR6 and 3500SL? it's going to take a few moments to get around it and let’s be honest if you’re in a car park looking for a car to flog why would you choose the 45k -60k Aurion of all cars? You’d go for an early model Corolla or some crap box magna or something wouldn’t you?
  19. Hey Cheif, still think the old heat sheild like that you get with the K&N one would be a good idea? i'm still tempted to get thr Fujita happening but just gotta get these Coilovers in first :P do you know if you can buy the sheild alone or does it come with the intake? Surely it would have to be available as a replacement part in case something happened to it?
  20. Your point is valid, but I couldn't justify spending that much money on the system, if money wasn't an issue, or if it was much cheaper, then I'd definitely get one Much the same reason its a no from me. Its like buying bottled water - sure, it takes a bit longer to get water out the tap and chill it in the fridge, but I can't justify $3.50 for a bottle of the same stuff that comes out of my taps for free. $250 for the kit sounds reasonable considering the effort you guys would be putting into developing it, but for the amount of use I'd get from it, I'd sooner pay that for, say, a stapler. For those that would get the use, though, it seems like a good thing. It may be a FWD, but its still quicker than your GTFour. ;) OH SNAP!! haha Well not much research behind this but possibly it switches TRC and VSC off but leaves ABS, BA & EBD on. && on a side note despite the motoring worlds thought that Aurion’s TRC and VSC is over reactive i actually find it only chips in when it really needs too particular VSC, TRC is a little easier to provoke but usually only in the situations that DJ has pointed out above other than that drive them with even a little bit of skill and you shouldn’t have the DRIVER AID SAFETY NETS spoiling your day too much.

  24. Damm I’d love to do this pretty bad, BUT talk about an epic trip from Tassie though lol! although fuel consumption would be excellence for the first 400kms haha
  25. Lol a double post in the wrong Section of the forum there buddy, give it a crack in the Corolla section and I’m sure one of the Corolla boys can advise the subs that perform best. 
