  1. do we smell a bigger brake package coming on lol?
  2. lol you boys like them low hay? haha saggy nannas!
  3. Yeah I’ve seen this done before on a couple of Black ZR6's had the front section and rear bar done in silver and another one done is the graphite colour similar to the TRD 3500S Paradigm and I have spoke about doing this to our cars once or twice before lol
  4. Yeah that does seem awfully cheap but i guess it its eBay after all so it’s not unheard of but buyers beware is guess is always the key here to eBay shopping. if it's the real deal then that’s excellence value for money, as for pads i'd really recommend sticking to pads that are tried and tested, so the HPX, REMSA, HAWK, EBC, Ferodo and of course genuine. But by all means if you’re keen to guinea pig a new set :)
  5. thanks Mat. After playing around abit i prefer 8 clicks from full hard, have noticed a firm ride but real solid plant to the road so that is what i prefer. I don't know if the spring posi was played with but when i took her back for the final check the boys made a 5mm adjustment up on the front drivers side wheel. After the original fitting i was left with a fistful of nuts n bolts lol now i drive away from big holes n ******* on the roadways as much as possible ( white liner now ;p) seems the faster i go over irregularities the smoother it seems. anyways catch up soon Cam Well now that's interesting that you mention that the faster you travel through pot holes new surfaces etc the smoother the ride seems, i had noticed that too but thought i must be kidding myself so there you go maybe im not just goign wacko lol. Davo you have your set to ultra soft, is it floaty at all? well im somewhere inbetween you fellas, for everyday im 17 front and 14 rear with 20 front and 17 rear for a good drive and 23 front 20 rear for a serious crack :)
  6. Congrats on the mod, there great i love mine too, just out of interest what setting to you run for every day driving and for when you’re having a crack? Also do you know if they left the spring position alone or did they wind them up or down a bit?
  7. Well boys and girls, we fitted up the ferodo thermoquiets today slotted straight in very nicely (as you would expect lol) took it for a drive and it was very quiet. no squeals vibrations through the pedal or anything and no dust on the wheels after we had finished and we gave it several large quite hard stops to both test for nice etc and to bed them in. pedal feel and actual retardation didn’t feel as strong as it is in my car but was still very good better than i was expecting so should keep the customer happy whilst producing less noise dust, rotor wear and last longer. I’ve asked the customer to come straight back to me if they have any dramas but i shall follow up with them in a couple of days to confirm all is good in the world. On a side note, god please don’t let the TRDs tyres get down to wear indicators this one was and was a dog to drive may as well being on slicks in the rain, felt quite dangerous to be in and I’m not even talking about driving silly this was just driving away from traffic lights and turning right at the crest of a hill when was stationary waiting for traffic to clear so the turn right on the new street could be made. Never knew if it was going to go or just sit there spinning till TRC did something. NOT GOOD
  8. To be fair you'd have to be a fairly switched on panel shop to know if there a factory fit product or a dealer fit product. However to clear your question up if you have a Prodigy, Presara ZR6 or 3500SL and punch out a front or rear sensor then these factory fitted sensor are a direct replacement part through the main parts catalogue same as any other part on the car like the bumper itself for example. Don't know if anybody has ever looked at the sensors but there completely different to look at when compared to the Dealer accessory kit. so if you have one of the above mentioned vehicles then it would be very random and difficult to end up with the dealer fit accessory. Can cause your local dealer 5 minutes of searching when you do wreck one of the dealer fit kits though haha
  9. MM TRD brake fluid arrived today :p

Yeah there's something in Dot4 that’s not in dot3 that is supposedly meant to be "bad" for your health or some crap Toyota reckon cant remember what it is now and because of this that’s why Toyota run Dot3 and do not design their systems to handle this extra chemical or whatever it is there’s been cases of where dot 4 and super dot4 has been used and its totally ceased and destroyed the brake packages lol? & the Castrol stuff is SRF which has a dry boiling po...

Yeah. Just did some reading about Toyota being adamant about using Dot 3 fluid. I tend to be on Penrite's side though and will continue to use their Sin brake fluid as it has been a good fluid time and time again.

  10. lol this thing is just off the wall!
  11. nice choice in car Alex, welcome to the club, we lookforward to your input on the forum. Any planned mods for the ZR6?
  12. Oh good to hear mate, the sensor may of just being having a moment lol
  13. Just make sure that the black circle on the sensor is clear and hasn’t being painted over? As its this black ring that is the actually ultrasonic sensor. if your Aurion is factory fitted then the replacement sensor should be exactly the same as that fitted at Altona as it comes up in the normal parts catalogue and already come colour coded but it’s not unheard of for bodyworks to whack them in the bars and paint them again covering the sensor so that it doesn’t work quite right. But I’d be worried if the new sensor(s) look different to before. could mean the accessory kit has been fitted which personally i don’t think work as well as ZR6/Presara/prodigys or precise and the beeping noise they make is also more irritating lol other than that just make sure they haven’t made an amateurish mistake of not plugging them all back in
  14. Well Targa Tas in my home city was an epic fail! got downgraded to a touring stage cos just pardoe bogans are too dumb to know whats going on and kept walking along and across the road when the stage was live... god one ruin it for everybody!

  15. Just to clarify... I have an 08 Sportivo. If I decide to change the front bumper to the 2010 facelifted one, I only have to remove the existing bumper and put in a new one without changing any headlights, wiring, etc? that is correct, the headlamp are different internally but the exterior shape and dimensions are the same, give or take a few different clips here and there it should bolt up just the same. when i replaced the front of my car back in 09 i priced the TRD front up and fell over then priced the front of the update (which had only just been launched) but i decided to go for the original front or two reason, series one was cheaper and i wasnt really sure of the looks of Series two then. Its grown on me since though. cool. thanks. oh btw what price were you quoted for the trd and 2010 bumpers? Hey, well i work for Toyota so my prices were of course internal staff prices and that was still enough to make me go WTF!!! When i looked at the TRD kit, well that was after i had got back off the floor lol! the series one front RRP is like $125.00-$140.00 for the lower skirt then you need the rubber protectors that finish off the slight cap between the skirt and bumper then if you go for the series two skirt youll need the series two bumper if youre going that way and any clips you may need if your car isnt already a Sportivo. Series one is a cheaper option but Series two isnt really all that expensive either though, just that series one is incredible cheap.
  16. lol likes having a lacky haha

  17. Alright clever people, do we think its true that after 5 days of non use toyota's with Smartstart/entry changes the cycle speed of "searching" to half speed?? or does it deactivate it untill a button is pressed on the remote? i'm going with A?

  18. yeah guys those prices do sound pretty right to me for the front rotors, rears were more expensive as were the calliper && yes hero status is pending haha slotted rotors would go nicely with my new braided lines :)

lol i work for Toyota? :)

  21. mm has anybody else had an email from a "richard spencer" about collection 10 million buck from a deceased client bank account??? dodgy much!

  22. OH OH if Greg can come up with a slotted option for rotors i vote we give him hero status haha
  23. It's Remsa :P And yep, they're a phenomenally good pad for the money. Rated to 650 degrees (100 degrees better than Bendix Ultimate or QFM HPX), whilst having features like relief grooves and shamfers in the pad material that the HPX do not. Remsa is what we've been supplying to high performance street road cars like Porsche and Ferrari for many years (where noise and rotor wear simply isn't acceptable), but the pricing has now become such that we're now able to expand it to most road cars. Remsa to suit TRD Aurion are $105 for the front, and $79 for the rear. LOL i totally just went and checked the packaging to make sure and yerp sorry guys I’ve failed you my bad lucky Greg is on the scene haha. i can say that they certainly look and feel the part and a much nicer compound than the stock pad. I’ll be slipping mine in sometime this month when i get the car serviced I’ll report back once there in.
  24. the more i hear about the transmission the more im able to justify the cooler in my own mind lol - somewhat strange Toyota decided to leave them off the Aust cars.
  25. Or yep go for the diagrams lol, that even easier again :)
