  1. Heya John. So glad to get rid of that gap! Springs clear the sway bolts easy. Like i mentioned before, the cusco ones are very low profile flat round headed bolts that sit in there, the spring and retainer clears it easy. You might have to change bolts if you still run into the same problem. Not sure what bolts you've got. I would say yes they are narrower than the Eibachs but i cant confirm till i measure them. Yeah i need the 5mm spacers, the rears are just a little too far inside the rear guard for my liking, so 5mm will bring them out nice and flush. Im picky about stuff like that fronts are fine, if i had smaller rubber, like 195's sucked off i might opt for 10mm rear and 5mm front spacers, or 15mm rear and 10mm front Hopefully the car is still clean tomorrow for more pics
  2. Thanks guys B) Ride is great, turn in is far sharper, flatter and faster its set reasonably hard at the mo, was 20 but i dropped it to 18 all round tonight. Might soften it tomorrow and see how it goes. Normal roads are fine to good, potholes are ok except for the lunar craters we have here occasionally! they are harsh. Ill put pics up of the dial extensions for the rear that just come thru the rear interior, nice neat job. Washed it today, cleaned the rims and gelled the tires. Ill get some more snaps tomorrow if i have time. Front is not far off where i would like it, rear need to come down around 10mm but see how the setup settles over the next few weeks. For now im happy. I bloody forgot to measure the works internal hub size so i can order those rear 5mm spacers tho!! Oops!
  3. Well all is good, but after today's wash, i noticed some new scratches that were not there before the install.. Ill be dropping in tomorrow and showing them... one up and down over the rear drivers panel and two up and down on the passenger front. I think they will polish out, but still i think they should see...
  4. Cheers guys, now my HID auto level is sooo far out, i only have around 4-5m of low beam light!! Hopefully Toyota tools can fit me in tomorrow for the Auto level short out/reset. I would do it myself but bit sh*t scared to short out the OBD plug :o Oh and one of my cheapy SMD parkers blew today too, just ordered a pair of PIAA terra 6000k to match the Garax HID replacement bulbs.
  5. Coils installed today. Its driveway friendly still, so when it all settles in a week or two ill drop it some more.. ** WARNING DIRTY CAR & DIRTY WHEELS ** Need to space those rears out by 5mm too. Ill get onto that.
  6. Reflector, brake and indicator: Parker & brake: Available in smoke or red, both with reflector...
  7. Having coils and Endless front pads installed... geez today is taking forever to end! I want my car already!!
  8. Injen CAi is good, but be warned, some people have had Error codes thrown due to them, we still havent worked out why they throw these codes. I personally have had no problem at all, and im one of the lucky ones. See CAI thread here for more feedback. Also if you search "CAI injen ZRE" you will find a few more bit of info.. Ive also opted for custom exhaust as a few other have here, mine is 2.5" full stainless system, standard headers/extractors and JunBL muffler. See here Could go for 2.25" if you like. I hear the CES team have done some good work so do check them out as mentioned above. :) PS, seems no one has actually made any decent headers/extractors yet, so you might need a custom job for those if your aiming for those too. A US company is supposed to be manufacturing but we are still waiting on the finished product, which, may drop bottom end and be only good for top end power. If your going for custom extractors, i would recommend a 4-2-1 system, not 4-1. 4-2-1 will keep and improve low and mid range torque and power. Hope that helps
  9. No prob man, glad i could be of assistance! B)
  10. Think so! Sorry for the crappy shots. reduced them too much..
  11. As i thought, i just wouldnt translate from paper to car that well. I really didnt like it. Not to say the designer didnt have skills, but on paper i wasnt to keen on it in the first place. Thats subjective tho.... B) The two chicks were bit of alright tho... had to have a chat with them of course... Some of it just wasnt finished off well. The body work was good, just little touches like leaving everything else out in the open with no attempt to conceal any bits hanging out... I should have taken my ride there..
  12. Hard to say. Any un-due noise should be looked at. I had mine in the beemer for almost 2 years an not a rattle or squeak. Yeah, i would be heading back there to get them checked. Thats the advantage of buying from a big aussie chain.
  13. I wish, It would be good if that were true..but that dont stop bored cops that just wanna stop you to have a look, then slap that canary on If i really believed that, trust me, i would have gone for some pretty hardcore offset
  14. Red and smoked are available. Both have dual lighting (parker and brake) Get them from ebay seller :D
  15. Mr 988, have you gone back to the outlet that you got them from? Im sure they will have a look for you..
  16. I would opt for a "Blade" front cut probably, far easier, same chassis, same car, everything in one hit. But the RAV4 donk puts out a little more power, not sure if this is ECU related or not. OOOOHHHH crated 2.4l, dont tease!! Any left??!!!??!!??! Zoom im not expecting to be spoon fed, Plytme said he would offer any assistance he could, just fishing, not looking for a silver spoon Engineering shouldnt be an issue, as normally if you can show history of the same engine in the same chassis your already half way there.. S/c'ing, well, that might be different! Ps, ive done a 1j conversion on a Cressy i had a while back, so im well aware of the creeping parts list. The front cut would be far easier.
  17. While im at it, does anyone know the internal hub diameter of Works rims? Im not in a position to take them off till next week when the sus is done. Im assuming they are 73mm, as the jap spacers i have found (with hub ring) are 73mm and they state will not fit standard wheels.
  18. Upgraded to the Glaxay S yesterday, and they have informed me of a shortage!! Wont get it until monday/tues next week... :D
  19. Vihn, I recon you will be fine with the 8.5 et38. Im running 2' neg camber on the front so maybe a little more and you will be fine. Rears will be easy fit. 6mm on the front isnt too much to stress about, depending on tire choice. I would prob run a 215 up front.
  20. Pushing it, close to fine on the rear i would think, doable with stretch on the front i think, you would have to dial in around 3-4 degrees neg on the front to tuck them. Really depends on how low you plan to drop it too. 18 X 8 et38 vs 18 x 8.5 et38 offset calc here I would suggest 18X8 et35 for the front and 18X8 et30 for the rear. All depends on what stance you want, i mean with enough neg and enough stretch, you can fit some crazy sizes in there. Cop bait or sensible good looks, Im over cop bait unless i found a cheap pair i could play with, but do like nice fitment.
  21. You would want to run a 195 or 205/35 to get enough stretch on an 8.5" Just looked at the fronts and et38 is just in the guard (maybe a few mm), 8X et35 would be just flush to the guard, anything over that would be outside.
  22. Thanks for the run down, any chance of a rough pricing guide for the parts listed? Im very interested, but would like to compare the costs involved compares to a 2.4l conversion + blitz s/c setup.
  23. Yep they are +38et 18X8 as John said, you can probably get away with +35 on the front, and i would say +30 on the rear. Once the Pedders coil overs are installed next week i can see how much i need to space out the rear.. 5mm easy, 10mm, 15mm and a wad of camber would be great flush i recon, depending.. Found some ultra high quality 5mm Jap spacers with hub ring (made specifically for Auris), but they will be around 150 landed for the pair. I do have a pair of 5mm old school jap spacers here (no hub ring) so i can play with those to see how things sit. Ray, thanks man, its a generic Chinese unit for the Auris, fits perfectly, plug and play, spot on colour match too. Great for the price. Get them here
