  1. 51W, Your low beams have a higher wattage
  2. Sounds more like it! Honestly in recent years, I've been put off mainstream motor sport due to the fact that there has been a serious lack of old school production car racing, even GTP is now allowing more modifications. Production car racing is the most exciting to watch IMHO, because rather than see cars with exact same specs, you're seeing cars with different strengths battle it out. I remember when I was much younger, going to Sandown to watch the 500, and watching the small BMW M3's battle against the 5.0 Group A Commodores, The M3 would kill the Group A in the corners, The Group A would eat the M3 on the straight, it was great to watch...
  3. Courtesy of the nice boys and girls from exe-crew, here's a pic of the Garage Cafe I'm suggesting for the meet...
  4. Comon Melbournians... So Far... ovo kaze-stivo izz-fe omn1potent bigbum spec_black goobdoyz ....
  5. You're all missing the point... The R32 is a complete car. It goes hard enough and handles well enough out of the box that no money has to be spent on it. Yes my old Commodore (For sale now :) Buy Buy Buy ) will go harder than anything too if I spend enough money on it, duh! Oh yeah, if you dig up an old thread, you'll find that a well modified sportivo on this forum still did not keep up with an older generation R32, and I've also seen another Melbourne Sportivo driver have his @rse handed to him by another Melbourne R32.
  6. They're ok, Had a gregory's manual for my Commodore, helps with some things, but sometimes a little too technical to follow, it assumes you have all the tools a mechanic does. But if you can get it for cheap it's handy to have.
  7. Azza has wired up an amp and sub to run from the standard head unit.
  8. The Gearbox (Actually the diff) in the old shape lower end Golfs was very weak and was prone to breaking, there was a particular join that was put together with Rivets rather than bolts which was the problem. I know someone who went through 3 of them under warranty on his. He also said the last time he had it fixed, another was being towed in for the same problem. The GTi / R32 never had this problem and I'd say they would have rectified it on all models with the current shape. There's another with signage in Melbourne too, I think they are Demo cars and the signage is to better promo the fact it's an R32, but with the sound they make, you'll never make that mistake, the old one sounded good, this sounds like a Supertourer on Steroids!
  9. As far as I know, no-one else has but sedan/hatch it's the same thing.
  10. In Italy it's law that if you drive on any highway/freeway/tollway, you must have you headlights on. It's a good idea, makes everyone much more visible. Whenever I travel on dark tree lined roads or along mountain passes my headlights are on (Or foglights at least). My personal opinion (Which is different to what the law specifies) is that a true 'Fog Light' has yellow bulbs, otherwise it's just another 'white light just like your headlights. Next time you drive in fog, check how much more visible the few cars fitted with true yellow fog lights are through the fog in comparison to those with white fog lights such as those fitted to Corolla's. Also when not driving in fog, look at the glare that comes from the yellow ones and compare it to the non-existent glare coming from regular fog lights fitted to most cars these days.
  11. I like the timber rear wing... I did that to a friends POS RX7 once as a joke and he liked it so much he kept it there for 3 months
  12. Sounds like a heavy hit, hope it wasn't anyone here :(
  13. Even the police tend to drive around with them on these days here. I think they've realised that fog lights like those fitted to our cars, unlike driving lights, don't really produce glare to oncoming traffic and given that all cars that have them, seem to keep them on, they would have to do a 'Group Fine'. On that note, they're not all that effective as fog lights, I think they're just another set of 'white lights'. If the cannon fitted to your car is considered a defect and you have to change it, I would speak to the dealer who sold the car to you, as they shouldn't be selling a non road-worthy car.
  14. I had optioned the pedals when I bought the car, so I can't tell you how much they are, I think toyota sell them for just over $100.00, I really don't know. The NGK's were $76 for the set from Supercheap Auto, but if your car is a Sportivo, it will already have these.
  15. I like it, if you have doubts, take that pick from the Wheels24 site above photochop some nice wheels and lower it :D You wont be disappointed
  16. Maybe you'll get a better reply starting up a clean thread, some may not read this thinking it relates to a past meet. <_<
  17. Aww my Swaybar :) I'm so proud of it Most people seem to be satisfied with changing over the rear only (I'm one of them), as for street use the standard front sway bar seems to be up to the task, however, if you're wanting to go to the next step in handling, or considering doing track work, then you may want to change the front. Like all mods, I think it's best to take a progressive approach. Do one thing at a time, in this case the rear sway bar only, then if you find that the front end could be sharper still, change the front later too, but you may find you'll be happy with the rear only and only fitting a strut tower brace to the front end.
  18. It's 2.40 am and I could really do with a Kebab right now, hurry Bill! :P Seriously though, hope it all turns out good :)
  19. Well I don't think it's a hairdryer... Maybe it was a Falafal not a Kebab.
