  1. When running in a car - don't baby it, and don't thrash it. Just drive it normally. For the first 1000km adjustment/checkup, it's a good idea to have the oil and filter changed. It's not necessary but it's just a good preventative measure. Fuel economy will improve as it runs in.
  2. That's a good result from the Mini, the John Cooper Works option is obviously worth the spend, - what was it's torque curve like? Linear?
  3. VT Commodores had this problem, keep your eye on it.
  4. When looking around, just be wary that rods made in the US may be biased (bent) to be suitable for the Left Hand Drive Interior layout.
  5. What's the ECU got to do with the exhaust? What does it sound like?, perhaps you have a leak at the axle flange if it hasn't been installed properly, because steel expands when hot and contracts when cold, it's not as apparent after the car has warmed up.
  6. For starters there's a hell of a lot more tuning parts readily available...
  7. Yes the length of the intake tract does make a difference. The shorter it is, the sharper your throttle response will be, particularly at low revs/low speed.
  8. Who's a crazy mofo ! Good Luck with the conversion - hope it all works out - can't wait :)
  9. I think the world has gone to sh!t because... a. Greedy people who want the worlds resources to themselves and are very willing to ruin entire other nations to get them. b. Greedy people willing to sacrifice their own nations wealth and stability for their own personal profit or agenda.
  10. I think when it comes to changing my tyres I'll try and go for 225/45's.

  14. A bit off topic but kind of relevant. What has more weight? A conventional seperate coil and strut suspension set up, or the equivalent coilovers?
  15. Or how about we stick to Sunday and go with the cruise to Dandenongs idea mentioned earlier
  16. :P Yes Yes bla bla bla someone now has a nice torquey turbo car bla bla bla LOL
  17. I've pulled them out before, because I changed to better bulbs when I got them - They're 51W HB4 on pre-facelift, I believe facelift is different.
  18. Nothing will last if always driven at the limit. Why are race engines stipped down every few races (In some cases every race)? They're not driven over their redlines? Higher RPM means quicker wear and tear, plain and simple. And I really wouldn't recommend dropping to second at 90km/h rev matching or not (WTF?) It really won't make you go quicker and it justs puts additional wear on pretty much everything. Geez I'm not buying any second hand Corolla's ever...
