  1. I wonder if step one has been completed yet? :)
  2. I remember this car now, at the time we were all saying he was asking way too much. The advert says new engine and computer, but from the sound of that, they simply changed over to a new factory ECU together with the engine changeover, not an aftermarket ECU. Still I'd like to know why it was replaced in the first place.
  3. Unknown to many is that Remus actually sell stainless steel tips. If the muffler doesn't have Remus stamped into the bottom of it, only the tip is genuine. Plus, my entire muffler is polished, only the ends and the pipe are coated in black paint.
  4. This thread gives the best pictures to date, with black and white prototypes with minimal diguise plus also a white prototype sedan, they all show the new Toyota Corporate face as seen on the Yaris and almost here Camry. They appear to be in Europe, so again most likely similar to what we will get. http://forum.softpedia.com/index.php?showtopic=83523 You'll notice the Silver/Purple colour one similar to the green one I posted earlier. Two magazines have stated that Toyota was set on the styling of the next Corolla, but when the European/Japan only Civic hatch broke cover with it's radical styling, Toyota was shocked and had a big re-think on what the next Corolla should look like and did a re-style of the design, very late into the near production ready phase of it's development. My Theory is... The black white car's you see in these pics are the original design - look closely and you'll see it's an evolution of the current design, nothing too radical. The green and silver/purple computer designs with their almost RX-8 like wheel arches are the new more radical design.
  5. Sorry to dissappoint but here's a better indication of what we'll be getting. As you can see quite similar to the illustration above. Still, as I've said before, I like the flared wheel arches and certainly has potential. http://thehollywoodextra.blogspot.com/2005...ta-corolla.html
  6. That's JCTurbo who also frequents our forum, maybe he can give us a quick run down of where he's at with this.
  7. I would immediately ask for a new motor :o How can you 'forget' to put in oil, you can forget to put a lid or cap on but the freakin oil?
  8. A piece of shredded tyre left on the road maybe ? they can do alot of damage.
  9. The only thing I can see as being an issue is that our shifters are positioned so that the rod is angled towards the driver (Which is Right Hand Side for us) It's been a while since I opened mine up to have a look and I can't remember... Is it the rod that has a bend making it angled toward the RHS for us? Or Is it the cradle/base? This will be important for karma to know.
  10. Skipping gears just kills syncro's in the long run, and in everyday driving I really don't see much of a need to drop from 4th directly to 2nd. Maybe it's just me but I quite enjoy running down through the gears 4th, Blip 3rd, Blip 2nd. :D
  11. how's the turbo going Took the words out of my mouth :D
  12. I'll beleive Toyota Australia will bring in Turbo Corolla's after I've seen it on the showroom floor and I've paid my deposit. I'll be (pleasantly) surprised if this gets here.
  13. Damn. Why did the 1st engine fail ? What sort of driving was your friend doing at the time, looks like it was just on a highway.
  14. Good looking wheels. Nice choice.
  15. Your disc surface should be all flat to maximise the friction surface area. If you have any sort of lip or distortion, you have less friction area and less braking power.
  16. Better than the cup of water is keeping a tennis ball in a small concave bowl ...
  17. I know what's happening but I'm bound to a pact of secrecy :P You all just have to wait
  18. BigBum has a facelift Bluesteel coloured Levin which originally had your wheels.
  19. Good Job. Now black out the indicators to match ;)
  20. From memory, BigBum had painted his white before he got his G-Max wheels.
  21. Thanks for finally clearing that up for everyone Omn1potent. Good Work :)
  22. Airbox is definetely there :D, only the snorkle is removed. From what we've seen on Danz, MAP81's,Northy's and Pippy's 1zz's they seem to respond well with CAI's so with one installed you should push over 80kw ATW. Another CAI to look at is the Simota like that fitted to MAP81's, It's 2 1/2" instead of 3" but cheaper than the regular Injen/TRD/AEM. Seems to be well constructed and available nearby from: Australian Auto Accessories 17 Moncrief Road, Nunawading. 3131. Phone: (03) 9845 0800 Fax: (03) 9877 5263 www.simota.com.au Cheers.
