  1. You mean Toyota engine :P The 2GRFSE is already being used in several Toyota models in Japan, the Crown Athlete and Mark X for instance. People need to get over this "it's a Lexus engine" thing, it's a Toyota engine designed by Toyota, built by Toyota, and used in Toyotas, and are no more special for the fact that they are used in the Lexus sister cars. To be precise, there has NEVER been a "Lexus-only" engine, apart from the 2UR ISF/LS600 V8 (comes from a series of Toyota engines though) and the V10 in the LFA - they have all been used in normal Toyotas as well. There have been a few occasions where the engine or engine series has debuted in Lexus models first, but it is usually no more than a year before they appear in regular models too. not my fault for knowing such things. it was the salesmen who told me that stuff.
  2. careerone or jobsearch is another option.
  3. it would be good to see the direct injection engine used in the Lexus is350 being brought into the Aurion, like what they did to with the current model, bringing a lexus engine into the bonnet. i expect it to be fairly costly.
  4. poverty and hardship leads to such things not only in those areas and but in other areas of the world these days as inflation occurs regularly. its like we're donating money to them. luckily i never use eBay.
  5. i wonder whats so bad about him/her.
  6. only 7700km on my car. its due for its 9 month service, but the kms is still low. should i service it?
  7. i wonder how it could snap. toyota shouldn't sell them for a high price though.
  8. sorry, i can't quite comprehend what you're saying. do you mean twin turbo?
  9. They most commonly use NiMH (nickel-metal hydride) cells (1.2V) grouped together to form it's battery. For example, the new Prius uses 168 x 1.2V cells to form its 201.6V battery pack and the Hybrid Camry uses 204 x 1.2V cells to form its 244.8V battery pack. Both can supply up to 650 volts AC however due to the inverters used. Anyway, that probably provided more information than what you needed. As for the average life of them, it all comes down to how the car is used, how much cycle the battery goes through, and the climate conditions. Expecting at least 5-8 years of life would be something normal. Toyota provides an 8 year warranty on the batteries, so that has to say something. also when the batteries die.. how much would it usually cost to replace them? i expect it to be quite expensive.
  10. how much does it cost to have the feature by the way? i personally wouldn't bother with it.
  11. not bad looking. neat stuff.
  12. far out, great creation by BMW. shoving a twin-turboed v6 into a small car is awesome. the car looks mad as well- the front bumper reminds me of the BMW x6 M( have a look at it, they look really similar).
  13. that's a wierd law they'd enforced...
  14. lol, that is by far the most insane thing i've seen.
  15. i left the car outside to be poured on today. when will it ever stop raining down here in Vic. i wish i can park it inside but i have stuff to store though.

  17. yeah, i extend my welcome to you Jamie. enjoy browsing through here and driving your new car.
  18. interesting stuff. funny when the car understeered/oversteered(?) and crashed in the tyre fence.
  19. its ironic to see that the truck got off the road and was able to hang onto the fence in the end...
