  1. i can't remember because i had mine done ages ago but it was about $10-20 thereabouts. these services can be found at a specified key and/or watch serivce centre, usually found in most shopping centres.
  2. have you tried manually lowering the seat? there should be a handle like button on the right side of the driver's seat to pull down and therefore enabling the seat to lower.
  3. Jesus Christ mate, it sure was a bad end to the week for you. i wish you luck on getting it back. :)
  4. geez... that rukus' going to be hardcore...
  5. last time brought my aurion to a Toyota dealer for the first month check up, i asked the guy at the counter whether the idle speed can be altered or not and he said no. I'm not sure what happened to yours Auri. to answer your question, the idling speed of my aurion often stays around 750rpm and sometimes 800rpm on a cold day, even when it's reached normal operating temperature.
  6. does it happen when you use the heater as well as when the heater's off? this also occurs in my aurion, therefore i have to use the air con to clear it, especially when its really cold. so i went through the owner's manual to find out that the button to use circulated air should be turned off to avoid that from happening, in other words, you need to use fresh air brought from outside to not have the windscreen and possibly the side windows fogging up. however, according to a thread on this site and personal experience, that is not advisable especially in poluted areas because the air con filter doesn't filter all the exhaust fumes from outside the car.
  7. looking pretty good at the moment arc.
  8. i agree with you, that xr6T does sound sweet.
  9. i heard doctors say that a person shouldn't eat straight before they sleep, because doing this will make a person harder to sleep if they're stomach heavy, and it can possibly help themgain weight. but the myth of people can gain weight by sleeping in makes me confused at how that myth can even be possible.
  10. down here in Vic, the conditions are that the drivers that are on their Ls aren't allowed to use any sort of mobile phone device, including hands-free/bluetooth. P drivers and the full licenced, however, can't use mobile phones during driving, but the law doesn't say that they can't use hands-free devices. i'm guessing that hands-free devices are legal to use during driving.
  11. the gps unit that's used both in the aurion and the camry were designed to be used with the reverse camera, therefore you should be able to plug and play and have all the features working normally.
  12. man, i personally think the owners overdone the car...
  13. a team will make history today(2/10/10) at the MCG. please give your thoughts and predictions on who will win the match and the Norm Smith.
  14. wow, the retail price is $13495, and this is only $5k. someone on this site said that they were quoted $18000 altogether to replace their screwed engine in their aurion with a brand new one.
  15. lol, Vick can go as big as he wants to...
  16. Jesus...$450 each?! SirNed, how wide are the tyres/rims you're looking for? because i've seen Bridgestone Potenzas in 235/40 r18 for $279 each at their own retail shops down here in Vic. i'm guessing the tyres are either made here in Aus. or it could even be made in Japan(unlikely due to it's price).
  17. oh crap, i'm very sorry to offend you robie. i didn't realise there could be a toyota dealer mechanic reading this topic. please accept my apology and not take my word personally.
  18. nice mods buddy. but be careful not to have your post removed as your ad should be in the car sales-buy & sell section which is only open to TOC supporters only.
  19. i've been in 3 rollas in my life, 2 of them auto, the other manual. the autos seem a little slow and boring to drive, but the performance of the manual is respectable and it can create a fairly good driving experience. therefore i think it depends on what type of rolla it is that's boring to drive.
  20. according to my knowledge, the lowest legal ground clearance for any car here in Aus. is 10cm(100mm). that might help you decide.
  21. rear tyre alignments often costs cheaper than front tyre alignments. i've seen a tyre factory shop special at $29 for a rear axle.
