  1. I doubt it's compression related. He says the temperature needle remains in the middle when it has warmed up. I'm pretty skeptical of injector cleaners as a whole.
  2. 225 or 245, there will be a difference compared to the 215 which will affect the reliability of the speedo. The difference will be marginal, but if you're not fussed then any of those sizes are fine. Bear in mind that the overall diameter will be lower compared to 215/55 series.
  3. Hey guys, Just a question on behalf of a friend who owns a Yaris. The car is experiencing rough idling, and by rough my friend means fluctuations up to as high as 1500rpm to as low as the point of stalling. This symptons occurs occasionally. The car has been brought to various mechanics. One diagnosed it to be an alternator issue and has promptly replaced it with an aftermarket one. Battery is still strong, as the new alternator is charging it properly. Another mechanic found an error code through the ecu and resetted it to clear, but popped up again recently. Where I think the problem is coming from are: -dirty throttle body -bad injectors -ignition system, ie. Coils and spark plugs. -fuel pump. The car has recently ticked over 100k km and is a manual. What does everyone think about this issue? All suggestions will be of value to my friend. Thanks all.
  4. All Aurions, including all 5 variants from the AT-X up to the Presara, had cruise control fitted from the factory. Therefore, it is safe to say that it will fit, given they are all the same shape and are fitted at the same spot on the right side of the steering column.
  5. What route are you guys thinking for this coming cruise?
  6. Joshhy....LOL, it's Tony with the black stivo!!! Back to the topic....I want to go to the Meguairs MotorEx which is held on both Saturday and Sunday that weekend, but I'm working on Saturday.
  7. It will depend upon the level of experience and expertise that suspension specialists have. All it is an extensive wheel alignment which are never carried out at dealerships and tyre shops, because at tyre shops and dealerships, they put your car on the machine which only measures toe (the direction at which the wheel is pointing) and that's all they adjust. I would go to a suspension specialist to ask them if they are able to adjust the camber and caster settings, simply by loosening the bolts of the strut tower and moving the strut back and forth to get in within specifcation. Some suspension specialists will be able to do this, some won't. The wheel alignment from these guys will cost you a bit, but will most likely offset the amount you have to fork out for the caster bushes. Have a look out for suspensio specialists around you and get their opinion. Note: I had it done to my car during the summer after it had the 'pulling to the left' symptom, and it resolved the problem and the car still tracks straight today, all for $100.
  8. That Thats the function right there. As I said, this shows you many litres of fuel you are using per 100 km's for that particular amount/tank of fuel. You cannot reset it by pressing a switch or any other way except by filling the car up with petrol at the bowser.
  9. It should resolve the issue of the car pulling left with just the installation of the part you've listed. The part is designed to adjust the caster of the suspension set up. Bear in mind that small adjustments can be done on the factory suspension set up that can help change the geometry which leads to the car tracking straight
  10. No, there its the function in the LCD display which shows your fuel usage per 100km's, given you have the Sportivo sx6 which possesses the upgraded interment cluster. What I meant is that you cannot manually reset the reading. It automatically resets itself after each time you refill at the bowser, regardless of how much petrol you put in.
  11. You can't. The only way it resets itself is upon re-filling the fuel tank.
  12. How many k's has it got. It could be worn shocks. Or, the shocks could be replaced with an aftermarket option by the previous owner. Or, the tyres may be pumped too high. Has the car been lowered?
  13. The Aurion didn't see any changes until Sept' 2009 when the range was rejuvenated with the facelift. Given your choice lies within the period from 2006 to 2009, you may be able to see a few that were produced after Sept' 2009 which will be part of the facelifted range. The facelifted Sportivo zr6 saw the change in the rear tail lights to the clear version, changes to the front bumper bar, revised head unit, behind seat map pockets were changed from a fish-net design to a hard plastic cover and alloy wheel design. They are the changes that I remember when I was looking to buy my car during late 2009. If anyone have anything to add to that, it would be much appreciated.
  14. You would want to speak to either Greg or Chris. I remember dealing with Chris-great guy. The boys there are very knowledgeable and honest. For those who don't know exactly where it is, its located at 72 Lipton dr, Thomastown.
  15. Whoever is from the north can give Centreline Suspension a go. I had then give my Aurion a wheel alignment back in January. Given their experience and knowledge, they performed an extensive wheel alignment which got the car to drive straight now. They aligned the upper control arms and strut towers to adjust the camber and caster, which is never done during a wheel alignment at a normal tyre shop, before adjusting toe. Priced at $100 which a bit steep compared to a simple wheel alignment, it's for all 4 wheels and I'd say its worth every cent. Has lasted me for 3000 km so far and saved myself from forking out more money for offset bushes or camber bolts.
  16. I assume you have the head unit from the facelift models, therefore I figure that you and I have identical units fitted to both our cars. Given so, I can say that my head unit shows the traits that you have pointed out on a rare occasion. It depends really on which brand usb you are using. The Sandisk I am currently using has yet to do so, however a Toshiba that I used previously would play up every now and then. When I was using that, I tried deleting some files and removing it from the head unit for a while before inserting again. Usually this would do the trick. As I said, it can be a simple issue of the quality of the usb you are using.
  17. Perfectly normal, as is the case with all the Toyota's I've driven so far anyway. It's just the way they're designed an built. Different cars have different settings. I know the normal position for a Ford Falcon is slightly off centre, towards the colder side, whereas a Ford Focus have theirs perfectly in the middle (source: having worked at a Ford dealer).
  18. Hey guys, As the title suggests, I'm looking for a rear bumper bar in ink (paint code 209) for the zze corolla. Cheers.
  19. Should be the same, plus the transmission cooler.
  20. Troll? I'm have a suspicion that he either signed up in the wrong forum, or he came to this forum to brag about how good Honda's are.
  21. Hey meow(notsureifserious?), Your car falls into the first generation, and in the pre-facelift range in particular. In the list of pre-facelift models, including yours, the AT-X, Sportivo sx6 and Prodigy models did not come with Bluetooth connectivity. Unless your car is one of those models, then there's something wrong with it. If your car doesn't have Bluetooth connectivity readily available, you can try installing a different head unit sourced from Toyota themselves, a second hand one elsewhere, or simply purchase and install an aftermarket one containing the feature. Otherwise, you can use a Bluetooth adapter to save yourself the hassle.
  22. Measurements in minutes and seconds is different a measurement in degrees, which is the case with what the Bridgestone outlet has done for your car. I don't know what each minute and second corresponds to in terms of degrees, therefore some one please expand upon this discussion.
  23. It should be, considering you have a facelift model. The cruise control light on these models is a clock with one hand at 10 o'clock and an arrow pointing upon it. The previous model simply showed 'cruise'.
