  1. Is there a Red Rooster near you?? I saw an ad on TV this morning which had them asking for donations and saying that they will match it dollar for dollar as well, so our donation would be $252.10 instead if you count their half :) The Red Cross have online donations here: https://www.redcross.org.au/Donations/onlineDonations.asp Hahahahahah!! I'm guessing someone just had a handful of loose change?
  2. It was very nice to meet you too Ying :) Sorry we didn't stay much longer after you got there but we needed to get back to Bendigo. Would be great if you can make it at the end of this month!
  3. Will do Lee ;) It'll be good :) And if not you've gotta ride shotgun with someone else - we can make you hang out of the windows to take photos this time!
  4. Hahah could do that - haven't been to Ballarat in a while! Aurora would certainly appreciate the cooler temperatures there lol And to answer your earlier question there are a couple of female drivers now, myself and Barb. Ying is around in Melbourne too, though her partner Michael drove to the BBQ on the weekend. And often girlfriends/female friends tag along too so whilst its mostly guys (who are all a friendly bunch!) you wouldn't be the only girl red97. Both Barb and I are in Bendigo. So long as someone guides me in Ballarat then, coz I have no idea, very easy to get lost for me seeing as how I don't usually see the town. Now that would be rather comical, if youself, Tash, Barb and I headed to Ballarat and met with red97 then I'd be the only guy, outnumbered 3 to 1 :o Actually if you count Abby, Aurora and Luna.........And Abby would love the cooler temps as well :D Hahah yeah, I'd be relying on Ken (the GPS - its the name of the Aussie voice lol) to tell me where to go! That would be a change, a TOCAU meeting where the girls outnumbered the guys Poor Aurora doesn't like the heat, having the air con on sucks her power :( Bring on Autumn and Winter!!
  5. Needs suggestions for car insurance - most competitive quote received so far is $85 a month from Shannon's.

Damn Tash. Didn't realise you were as old (young?) as I am. I'm Rating 1 For Life with AAMI so not sure if that makes a difference.

Heheh yeah Daryl, only your age :) I've got the Rating 1 for life now too (achieved as of this renewal) but my premiums gone up which I guess can be attributed to the flood ($93 last year, $100 for this year), but they've dropped my agreed value by nearly $2500.

Thinking I will ring them again and enquire about cancelling mine and signing up online and then add anything I want like the windscreen option.

Not sure about VIC but in NSW I found GIO to be the cheapest out of the lot

  6. Very good point about the dirt! No dirt roads involved this time I promise There were a couple of sections with a few potholes/debris washed onto the road after the heavy rain but hopefully by then they'll have evened out again. At any rate in those parts if you stuck to the middle of the road they were easily avoidable ;)
  7. Cheers for the pics Nathan and the help organising, as well as benji and Barb :D I will add you to the list of attendees now ;) Meeting point is nice and easy to get to, make sure you take the second Exit to Kyneton (green Exit sign says Kyneton/Heathcote) and you'll hit a roundabout straight off the exit, follow it straight over (don't veer left, that takes you into down) and into the first driveway on the right ;) I will upload another aerial shot with some pretty arrows soon heheh

  9. Awww come on :) I will get cake!! There are a few birthdays in Feb so I'd say there will be a cake... That reminds me, we have to organise a cake, don't we ;)*wink wink nudge nudge* And I wonder if we can get the One Tree Hill hotel to set aside some parking for us, as there was very little last time we went. Heheh yes, yes we do. Kenpo makes the third birthday of the month... That's a great idea, we'll have to ask them about that too. You keen for a run out to Lake Eppalock one night/Saturday or Sunday? If we do it on the weekend we could check out the route again and then other potential photo locations :D
  10. Cheers Reece - missed ya yesterday, so it'd be awesome if you could make it in Feb :D Awww, we feel so loved! Thread is all up so we can start getting excited for that one heheheh I've gotta make a donation so I will start having a look around for an online Vic flood appeal that we can contribute to :)
  11. Awww come on :) I will get cake!! There are a few birthdays in Feb so I'd say there will be a cake... Lol, will do Simon :)

  13. Hey all, As promised here's the topic for our Feb monthly meet which will of course be the "Bendigo meet"! It'll be on Sunday the 27th Feb (keeping with the tradition of meeting on the last Sunday of the month), meeting at 10:30am at Kyneton VicRoads (pictures to be provided soon). We'll then be cruising to Bendigo via a few nice twisty country roads and a jaunt over part of Mt Alexander, stopping to take a few piccies and make sure everyone's still together Lunch will be at One Tree Hill Pub in Bendigo where it's easy for those that need to head home to get straight back out to the freeway, and for those that want to hang around a bit longer we'll be scouting out some more great locations, particularly for photos :D To get all the "motherly" stuff out of the way whilst there are some twisty and challenging bits of road to provide a bit of fun I want to stress that this is a cruise, so no racing. Essentials to bring: - UHF if you want to chat to others along the way and to help us stay together - Camera for all the hot shots we're going to take of our cars - Money for lunch (they do have EFTPOS) Looking forward to seeing you all there :D Hopefully mother nature will provide a good day for it!
  14. Hey all, cheers for an absolutely fantastic day, well worth the trip down :D Great to catch up with you all again and I'm stoked that you're all so keen to head up this way next month No worries about the kebabs, just a little bit of effort for a great result :) Big thanks to everyone involved in contributing food, drinks, utensils etc etc Fantastic to see some new members along today as well and hope they will continue to come along to our future meets. Loving the piccies too, keep 'em coming!!
  15. Hahah yeah, hiding lord only knows how many pages back! Heck yeah to an exhaust, needs a meaner note. That's awesome though, I'm happy for you to be guinea pig :D That or we should see if they'll do a discount for booking two cars in? Cheers, she certainly turns a few heads! Looked great together with the black - we will have to take more piccies of them together :D Am still stoked that I haven't seen the Enforcers on any other car :) Your wheels are a great choice too, I'm normally not a fan of chrome but they just looked fantastic! Update to all, my LED tail lights are now properly hard wired so they can't fail again (connector broke, so they've had all new plugs done). They look stunning :D And at night they light up like a Christmas tree bahahahaha Hope to go wash the car Sunday night when we get back from the TOCAU meet (heading down in Barb's new Corolla) and take some pics for you all!
  16. Fire ban was a very good point :) But as Troy's already said anyway those type of park BBQ's are okay. Here's the info directly from cfa.vic.gov.au: For anyone interested the link is available here: http://www.cfa.vic.gov.au/restrictions/can.htm#cancant1 Just going to be bloody hot!! So thanks to those that are bringing water :)
  17. Hooray! Can't WAIT for this :D Please put me down as the first Victorian attendee
  18. Bummer :( Well make sure you can come to the next one cos its the meet up our way! So you've all got to keep Sunday the 27th of Feb free!
  19. Yeehaw :D Booked in at auto elec for Friday to get the LED tail lights back in :D

Hahah, it might be Lee :) Otherwise I'll just put up some teaser shots in my ride thread and make you all wait until February :D

  20. Awesome :) The only thing I don't think that's been mentioned is sauce if anyone wants it?? Probably won't bring my car down for this one and will just shotgun with Barb, seems a bit redundant to bring both our cars.
  21. I reckon even if anyone did it wouldn't fit in our cars!! Hahahahah :) Just bring some sunnies and a hat ;) I'll try to remember the sunscreen and aeroguard too.
  22. Garage bags, for all the rubbish we make :D , oh I'm not sure will there be enought drinks to.. Since Its going be a hot warm day ;) Garbage bags, that's an excellent idea :) That way if the bins aren't great a couple of people can just take them home to chuck in their own bins. Haha yeah, very nice! As long as there's no humidity <_< I better remember sunscreen and a hat lol
  23. Awesome :D All coming together nicely which is great, going to be a really great meet! I better climb the ladder and go get my camping chair off the top of the tall built-in wardrobe lol (house we're renting has 12-foot ceilings) heheh
  24. Well Pete could you have a quick read through again and update the first post? :) AFAIK I'll bring bread (couple of loaves and a crusty vienna) and a salad, Barb will bring chicken skewers, Troy was gunna bring some snags and BBQ gear, Ying was bringing dessert (cake/cup cakes), benji will bring some snags, Vinh is on drink duties and thats about it. I think a couple of other people said they'd bring snags too, so no kransky's as yet. Still need to make sure someone brings oil and paper towel, and who will bring plates, knifes, forks and napkins?? Probably not a bad idea that if anyone has spare camping chairs to sit on bring them along too :) Edit: Sorry Troy said he'd cover oil and paper towel, but still need someone for cutlery and plates.
  25. Drinks would be great Vinh :) Peter & Duy - looks like no one has sorted out things like oil, paper towel, tongs, those foil trays to put the food on, napkins, stuff like that. How about you guys organise all that kind of gear??
