  4. A bit late for this response, but DJKOR had his TRD repaired there and said they did a good job. http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/26861-djkors-aurion-rev-2/page-11#entry399135 They originally said they would repair the crack in the bumper but ended up replacing it instead.
  5. The pic in the other post looks alright. Still not as clean as a silver one. Looks good in all light Unfortunately, regardless of whether 7 of those Tungsten ones were made, the TRD Aurion is just at the point where they have no value left to them. You can get them cheap, but they now have expensive replacement parts, expensive insurance, and low bang for your buck. Unfortunately I learnt that the hard way. I'm surprised DJKOR is still apparently rolling around in his.

Simple driving techniques. 1) Get in car 2) Apply brake with right foot 3) Start car 4) Keep right foot on brake and release foot brake with left foot 5) Shift car into drive 6) Quickly move right foot from brake to accelerator, or if you can't manage that, 7) Move left foot over to brake pedal and apply pressure, then remove right foot from brake 8) Apply a bit of throttle with right foot then release left foot from brake

  8. That interesting that a 5mm allen key didn't quite satisfy. I used a 5mm 1/2 inch drive hex bit and it fit quite snug. The same hex bit then also removes the red overflow tube on the inside. I'll have the say the most annoying part of the entire service was trying to get the one bolt that was blocked by the subframe. Luckily a ratcheting spanner did the trick. Although I had to remove the spanner and manually click it 2 times each time to give it enough to turn. But in the end I got it. My magnets did have a little more metallic filings on it though. My car however was at 189,000km at the time of the service. Fluid however was kind of how you mentioned, didn't smell burnt, but darker.

  11. From what I heard from another person who had to repair a section of his TRD bumper, there is no specific code for those darker inserts. Same goes for the wheels. You are probably better off getting a paint shop to colour match for you.
  12. It nearly looks like it got the car in front of you (even though the view from your camera makes it look otherwise). If it got you, damn your speed cameras must be sensitive. I've driven past ones here in QLD at a GPS indicated speed of 5km/h over with no issue... and I am sure my GPS speed is accurate going by the ticket I received the other day.
  13. Not exactly. From what I have read and heard, the Thai Camry that shares the body of the Aurion actually has the 4-banger in it. Ying Ying... that's also the name of one of the guys from R Style Racing (http://www.rstyleracing.com/). That was the guy back from when DJKOR got his mesh grill.
  14. I would have to agree with Trent on this matter as well. With the traffic slowing down in the left lane, your reaction should have been to start slowing down as you approached them even though you were in the other lane. Had you have been on the brakes already to match the surrounding cars, you would have been able to avoid hitting that other car. Looking at the video, you can see your reaction is too late and could have been avoided.
  15. Life as a student.... answer is in the second post. Trav is right. Don't need to worry about getting the torque on the rocker cover right. And the ol screwdriver through the filter isn't a bad idea either. The mess won't be hard to clean up. Unless you know someone personally within distance, that would be your fastest way to get the job done.
