  1. just like how mine is currently running from 5400 to 8400, you can land lift while making coffee.
  2. Too much vibration going through the pedal and through the cabin would definitely not be good for your health. I had them on for about two months before I removed then. I spend about 2.5 hours on the road and most of it is on the highway which is really annoying. But... If you don't need to spend too much time on the road with your car everday then it is worth it. I absolutely loved it once it was in, but after two months just couldn't take it anymore. Definitely need it on the track, the response is insane.
  3. It should be held in by a C clip, all you have to do is get a cloth, and slip it in between the winder and the trim and try to wedge it out.
  4. Which corolla have you got the 4A housed in?
  5. yes omg johnny walker blue :) so hard to find, u full have to go melbourne to get it only johnny walker i actually like, talking about hennessy this is what happens when your bored with 3 of ur mates a bottle of cognac xo :) WHICH WAS SUPPOSE TO BE OPENED AFTER I GRADUATE >=/ Johnny walker blue is more common then you think, its kinda the usual for my family...bunch of alcoholics! XO is more the norm, Johnny blue is for more slightly special occasions.
  6. Go for the CAI, SRI made nothing more but noise. How do I know?? I have tried both on a Conquest and on a Sportivo :D I have no dyno sheets to prove it, but the CAI made a noticeble difference compared to SRI
  7. Alcoholic : Johnny Walker Blue or Hennessy Cognac XO Non Alcoholic : Ice Cold chinese tea!!
  8. Hard to compare an SLR vs Compact Choose the Compact if you want versatility and not really fussed over picture quality. I would take the SLR, pentax K200D is a bargain entry level SLR. But like I mentioned before, stretch your budget abit and try to get a nikon D40X. You will then have endless amounts of lens to choose from if you want different lens in the future. I bought a Sony A350 and most Canon and Nikon people bag it. But it does the job that I want and I'm a Sony fan, I don't really like Canon that much, prefer Nikon. Just like how I like the sportivo :D.
  9. Once your car has warmed up to operating temp should be fine. Also should use 4th gear instead of 5th. I'm not to fussed about numbers
  10. You might need slightly larger injectors, don't quote me though
  11. CAI + Lift = 110db If the car just scrapes through at 89db with the stock exhaust, I guess everyone is over then with a more free flowing exhaust.
  12. Since I'm in a good mood this morning just click on the following link DIY: Changing Manual Transmission Fluid on an '06 XRS That place has quite a few DIY's, of course only somethings are applicable being that they have the USDM
  13. CAI-forget about the other setups. If you had to do one single performance mod, then this would be it and no....Blitz S/C kit does not count :D
  14. I think I may make a surprise visit this sunday, depends on how things turn out. Haven't been to The Entrance before, so would like to go...might go fishing somewhere up there as well.
  15. They are cheap and nothing wrong with them........just takes a while for them to get the stuff to you thats all. Took about 5 weeks for my PFC to arrive
  16. Now just imagine reversing into a car behind you while sitting at the lights lol Locate the speaker for the beeping and just snip it, shouldn't be too hard to find...
  17. I had a grinding noise as well, it kept bothering me......I thought maybe my wheel bearings were gone! Turned out it was just tyre noise Replaced newer and better tyres, noise is gone.
  18. Go to 9thgencorolla.com they have a write up on how to install koni shocks, and its pretty much what I followed. What is the spring rate for the rears on the control springs?? cause the rear springs definitely need to be a bit more stiffer to make the car handle like it has coilovers :D Just careful about going overboard or you will have oversteer problems :D
  19. My front tyres needed replacing at around 60,000km and my brake pads at 80,000km (after about 4 years). If I did do rotations then I could probably do around 80,000km for a whole set possibly more. I replaced my tyres as soon as the indicator showed up on the treads. The key to getting more mileage out of your tyres, is obviously don't take corners at a fast speed (shoudn't be doing it on public roads) and early progressive braking. I have a heavy foot too, but braking early is an important key factor.
  20. Strathfield car radios charge around $90 for installation in sydney
  21. I got to admit though that my brothers Liberty B4 feels faster then my car, with his car being stock. But what I feel is torque though, and the 2zz obviously has squat all torque if you ask me. Have to take it down the 1/4 one day to find out how slow it is.
  22. A mildly modded WRX, exhaust, intake, increased boost should easily crap all over the rolla. If this is straight line we are talking about, around a small track is a different story though. Unless you stuffed a turbo or SC, then thats a different matter. Recently my car is starting to feel slow again
