  1. If it rains we just won't take McCarrs Creek Road as that can be a little slippery when damp.
  2. Just follow the directions. You apply the foam then massage it in with a clean, lint free cloth. Because it is mostly air it does not clog the pores of the leather and also smooths on very evenly.
  3. have you seen a dyno graph that shows the tractive effort? It is pretty linear...
  4. why have wider tyres on the rear, it will just add more understeer which is what you are trying to reduce in these cars. On the front I could understand for better drive though.
  5. problem is they may not be able to stand up to the throttle body temperatures and degrade
  6. take it back and see if you can change it for the foam Mish... :o :o :o :o :o :o the cloged up bits in the seat will come out after a few cleans with the foam... I hope
  7. you didn't keep the rims? :( they would have looked sweet on the red beast ;)
  8. the trouble with those Bill is that the TRD intake requires a 45 degree bend in the silicon joiner. This is usually the part that splits too from stress.
  9. the widest are 215/40r17... or 205/45r17 note that not all 215 tires are 215mm wide, some are wider, some are narrower. the offset of the rims also plays a big role here too.
  10. take a squiz :) http://autospeed.drive.com.au/cms/A_2984/article.html
  11. there is a pending court case so no more details have been made public. Sorry guys.
  12. Car has been recovered :D Minor damage to one of the bumpers, bald rear tyres and a fubarred diff. Thanks to the Canberra lads for doing what they could :)
  13. not really... just get the 3" to 2.75" elbow from Supercheap, Repco, Autobarn etc... or try Rocket Industries if you cannot find the right size anywhere else. Then take the faulty part back to Toyota and ask them to get a replacement... this has happened before the Bruce relaced them out of kindness, but since he no longer supplies TRD stuff I don't know... Good old TRD intakes... never heard of any problems from AEM or Injen
  14. I wouldn't have a clue Pete... I live in Wollongong, give me break... EDIT: just looked at the map... no... learn to use a map Pete... follow the roads, it's not even close. We could go that way on the way home though. But I take your point, I just gave one suggestion. Like I said, it's probably best to go in seperate groups and meet there then try and meet on the road. If we were to meet on the road I would suggest Mona Vale Road on the approach to McCarrs Creek Road. There is a long valley there with wide shoulders that we can pull over heaps of cars. I think there is a plant nursery on the side of the road there or something.
  15. If you guys are coming form Winsor Road they around the James Ruse Drive - Victoria Road intersection would be closest. May be easier to just have the 2 groups both plan to depart at the same time and head there then meet on the road though. What say both teams depart their respective meet points at 9:30 and hope to meet on the road but we will meet at Palm Beach regardless :)
  16. the route is fairly simple. This is where we will be going... Woodville Road to Parramatta Road (turn Right) Follow Parramatta Road to James Ruse Drive Turn left up James Ruse Drive to Victoria Road Follow Victoria Road to Land Cove Road (turn left) Continue across the M2 onto Ryde Road and onto Mona Vale Road (all the same road just changes name) Turn Left at McCarrs Creek road (tucked away at the top of a hill and hard to spot if you don't know it's there) Follow McCarrs Creek Road (Twisty) to Barrenjoey Road and turn left. This will lead us all the way to Palm Beach. I'd say it's a 1-1.5 hour drive depending on traffic conditions and if people get lost. The best way would be to have a few groups if we have a lot of people and have a designated leader for each group which saves stopping a group of 30 cars on the sice of a road to wait for 2 people who were caught at a light...
  17. The Meguires foam are awesome no mess, no fuss products to use :) both the Leather cleaner/conditioner and the plastic/dash cleaner
  18. BUMP for more SILVER members as per Craig's statement
  19. Castrol edge 5-30 is the recommended Castrol oil for our engines and it is $50 for 5L ;) I'm thinking of using the Mobil next time. I don't like the feel of the Castrol Edge 5-30, it feels too thin and produces more engine feel then the Fuchs 10-30 I was using. If a 5-30 SAE oil is too thin then why use a 0-40 SAE?
  20. yes you should oil it, but lightly. The dirty MAF sensors come from over oiling and and excess oil boing sucked through the filter. If you lightly oil the filter, the oil will hold to the filter membrane better.
  21. undo the axel bolts and is fits in the back perfect ;) the axel back section actually fits in the boot sideways :)
  22. I saw that after... why start a new topic ;)
  23. STILL no garage section :( is there a reason?
