  1. NSW have passed a ammendment not allowing P platers to drive any car with forced induction, or a V8 for the first 12 months of driving (not sure if this includes 'L' time as if it does it's a bid dodgey... As far as I know this is the only thing that is concerete and not speculation. In Vic they have a 120 kW/tonne limit I think.
  2. How did you do Dave? did you back up and hold the trophy aloft again?
  3. I'd like to see your turning circle once they are on too!!!!! You'll also notice the steering feel to be a bit heavier, but personally I think that would be an improvement over the wishy washy steering it has standard.
  4. The other 2 guys from Sth Aus on here are from North and NE also, I'm a Southerner though, Aberfoyle Park, so used to do a hell of a lot of hill runs through Blackwood, esp when I had a g/f up there, managed to get from her place to my folks place in 7 minutes through Corromandel Valley. Kings road is good for teaching the Commie drivers a thing or 7 too, there are plenty of them out there too!!!! I used to have great fun when I headed out to the Northern Burbs. Bought mine from Graham Cornes Toyota, who are superb and I really miss the extra care they took over here. The guys at Wollongong Toyota are OK but just don't match up!!!! The speed hump problem is a b***h I get that too and had it looked at and they tightened a few things and told me to monitor it, but it hasn't gone away so they'll be asked to look at it again.
  5. YAY, good to see another South Aussie in a blue baby!!! (Even though I've moved, SA is still home for me :D) What part of Adelaide are you from??? Which dealer did you pick it up from? Anyway's welcome mate and next time I'm over visiting family and friends, we'll have to go on a Blue parade up Gorge Road and back down Norton Summit, or a run down through Second Valley to Victor Harbor and back through Bull Creek and Kangarilla (my 2 favourite runs) :D.... Cheers Dylan
  6. hahahahahaha, toooooo funny, exactly what I was thinking... Spotted.... Blue rolla Sportivo, seems to always be parked in the garage of the unit block that I live in!!!! Gotta meet this guy, he has such great taste!!!!
  7. Get in touch with Xoom, he may have a few spare as he bought a few for the NSW boys... If not try Steve as he is the one who go them made up and posted them out to us, isn't he nice!!!! YAY for Steve!!!!
  8. There is only one word to describe that...... NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE!!!!!
  9. Hey KT Zeerolla still has mine, but I also have a blue baby, the guys with black beasts may be able to help out as they are also dark colours (don't get much darker) but I was thinking the bottom corner of the rear window was the safest bet (unless your name is Danthuyer in which case as many places as possible seems fine!!!! :P) as soon as I get mine off Zee I'll let you know. Xoom too has a blue car, did you notice where he placed his? The idea of trimming the edges was also foated earlier which may also help minimise the contrast of light on dark. Cheers Dylan
  10. it's on my list of things to do when it goes in for service at the end of the month
  11. The sides are the same as the current Sportivo ones so would flow on quite nicely I think, plus the rear hatch and bar are the same on the facelift (hence only a FACElift and not a REAR redesign) so should fit nicely too!!! ← If you dont mind me asking where did u get your OEM one from? ← Mine was purchased and fitted through the Toyota dealer where I bought my car. EDIT: By the way the pic I posted is not my car but what they fit to the RunX in Japan. There is much speculation at this stage that this is what the facelifted sportivo will look like (unsure about the rear skirt though, but with the redesign of the bottom contour I think it will work much better with the exhaust re. melting issues). We can only hope Toyota adds it as a standard feature. :D To see a pic of my rear skirt visit the garage or gallery. For examples in other colours, see ZEEROLLA or KoroLa883 (Black) or Danthuyer (White) you can also search for Peekay34's old car (he posted a couple of pics) for a red version.... I'm trying to think of a silver one but am lost...

  13. technically that is a diffuser not a bar... but anyway, looks OK i guess, not my cup of tea though, too angular, very eighties. Would look better on a boxy car then the sleek curves of the 'colla. My fav is still this one....
  14. The OEM rear skirt is not actually meant to be fitted to the Sportivo as the exhaust blows straight onto it and actually melts the skirt. But due to demand, and the fact that some dealers just want to please the customer :), some modifications have been done by various dealers to allow this to happen ranging from adjusting the angle of the exhaust tip to divert air away from the bumper to cutting the skirt and extending the tip past the skirt to keep the hot air away. But I think it does add well to the over all look of the car IMHO... one pic in my garage shows the skirt from a distance with the tip the dealer added (due to melting) but like a I said I'll add some closer pics soon... Cheers Dylan
  15. Turn it upside down and hand me a paddle and it just might be!!!!! But it does handle well in the wet also!!!! I'll get pics of my skirt up soon (OEM Style) when I get the time to clean it well and take some good pickies!!!! There are quite a few of us with the skirt so some one may beat me to it in the mean time.
  16. If I could get a ride from Wollongong I'd be sweet... Zee, you interested or working/buzy?
  17. That was exactly what I was thinking... looks like we have a set of twins!!!! Not quite identical though thankfully!!! Looks Awesome though
  18. Yeah, IZZ-FE, totally agree~!! Actually, I was having the same mod plan as Gus, your advice are very helpful...... Um....but I got a question.....isn't the stivo comes with a stock rear stabiliser/sway bar?? Does it means it's not really helpful on body roll???? :P ← Yes you are right the Stivo comes with sway bar already in place but the aftermarket rear sway bar through Whiteline, TRD, whoever... is thicker and more ridgid then and standard so strengthens the chassis even more.
  19. WOW I can save $14,500 when I buy my 360 Spider convertible from the boys in red with the prancing horse... I'll take a fiesta with that thanks!!!!! :P
  20. The Corolla GT was only produced to order also so very small volumes and only a couple over there in dealers to test drive. I think they ended up just being rebadged Sportivos from OZ, but I could be wrong. I think I know the mag you are talking about and, read that article, They actually give it a good wrap unlike the narrow minded journos over here who expect everything to be one of the big 3 (Commodore, Falcon or Magna).
  21. Cheers for that... I've said it before and I'll keep on saying it, 'You guys are legends!!!!!' ;) B) :D :D :D
  22. Hi Steve, I know that this may open a huge can of worms to do with people wanting to change names all the time to whatever is in vogue at the time but I was just wondering if there was a way that we could request to have our user names changed...? For instance, my name, I have noticed, is a little long. I therefore wish to ammend, abbreviate if you will, to Blue_Stivo. Not too much of a change but enough that I will be happy. Cheers Dylan
