Dude, Much as I hate to bag anyone on a forum, you're not exactly starting on the right foot. You may know everything, but apparently you have just redefined "everything" such that it doesn't include a basic grasp of English. Both of your posts are painful to read. Try some punctuation other than "..." and some more capital letters perhaps. Corret grammar is free, please help yourself to some. Maybe talk about cars too, instead of trying the lamest attempt I've ever seen at picking up. Cheers, - Matthew ← Correct spelling is free too Matthew - Dylan :P But agree whole heartedly, this is very lame! Why the heck didn't you just wind your window down and talk to the girl when you had the chance rolla82?????
  2. Bubbha, you hit the nail on the head... that is exactly the add they used and there were many complaints at the time that add was released and a big reason why the commercial standards board for motor vehicles was set up... There was also one on the new Holden Ute which was the main concern of the story.
  3. If you buy OEM you don't need to get them sprayed because they come painted in the right colour from the factory!!!!

  5. Vortex still is 95RON, they just have Vortex98 too now... REMEMBER TO CHECK THE PUMP YOU USE IS THE RIGHT ONE!!!!!
  6. I was pulled over not long after buying my car by the boys in blue to tell me I had my driving lights on, and this was back in Adelaide on the old freeway just near Devils Elbow and the only 2 cars on the road were me and the cop!!!!!! I think he just wanted to check the car out because the Auto Club of SA had a Cruise (police escorted high speed run mind you) going the other direction up to Mt Lofty Summit. But anyway the cop had a good look over my car before he came to the window, saw it was stock, apologised for pulling me over and 'reminded' me to turn my driving light off. The thing that gets me about the Rolla driving lights is that the standard ones are actually angled so far down that they actually fill a blackspot that exists between the normal beam and the front of the car. Check it out!!!! Test by turning lights on as you would normally, then turn on the Spotties, then turn back the headlights to just the driving lights and you'll see what I'm talking about!!!!! So for the standards there is nothing the cops can enforce anyway because there is no chance of the beams from them interfering with any other road users... and that is supposed to be their major concern...

  8. Was looking at the web site and it's ~$2K to book out the place for that day, but early next year there are some track open speed days coming up on weekends, could be busy but might be better for those who have to work.... Check it out Wakefield Park Home Page
  9. I just thought I'd bring up the oldest most stagnant post in the Rolla forum for s**ts and giggles EDIT: just actually checked out the link, some of that stuff looks mighty interesting, I'll have to do a bit more snooping around and see what I can find ;) BUMP... :P

  12. Another shameless plug, you should be getting kickbacks for your work SILVA!!!!! If you guy meet up Sun, can you swing by my place and pick my up on the way now I'm back in town!!!!! Dave: Top stuff, I'm sure the grin is a mile wide and growing every moment you spend in the car!!!!! I'm very envious at the mo!!!!! :P :P :P
  13. I think this was done to improve all around drivability if the engine and attempt to minimise the torque hole between 5K and when lift kicks in, it's not always about top end...
  14. Hehehehe finally got a chance to see.... now that's some cold A/C ;)
  15. Your forgetin the USA versions Pontiac Vibe (SUV), and the Matrix which are both available in AWD versions (auto only for the AWD ones) And for the rumors from toyota (USA): http://www.toyotacelicaonline.com/rumors.htm#tc ← AWD Matrix not available with 2ZZ engine...... only XR-S
  16. could you please add a 'do not open at work' disclaimer to links like this...... <_<
  17. plus only FWD so would loose out big time on take-off
  18. There is a great pic of a similar car (from the UK) that EGG posted a while back (the red one about 4 posts down)... Some other topic But remember just because it has a 6 speed doesn't necessarilly mean an upgrade to the 2ZZ, remember the latest MR2 has a 6 speed (steering wheel, push button triptronic) mounted to the 1ZZ.....
  19. hehehe, sorry zee, just assumed from the avatar pic that the R1 was a fav....
  20. Hey JDM Firstly do you think you could post a few pics of your car, it sounds pretty good, I'd like to have a look... Secondly try using Babel Fish translation to look at the Japanese sites, they don't always give good english as it is direct word for word translation rather then a translation of a complete sentence so sometimes words are wrong or in the wrong order to what we are used to but give it a go.... http://babelfish.altavista.com/ Cheers Dylan
  21. Rollagrl: just noticed the signature modification and can I say, I think I love you!!!!! :D :D :P :P The R6 is my fav bike of all time, sorry Zee the R1 is great also but the R6 is lighter and more nimble around the twisty stuff!!!! I just wish they would update it to have a more agressive chassis angle like the new R1, that would look sweet.... Are you going for another Blue machine???
  22. I have wide and varied music tastes, depending on the time, my mood or where I'm driving, but my music of choice at the moment is Jet. ← I'm with you Buddha, Jet all the way or the Chilli Peppers!!!!! Also quite often listen to Jeff Buckley to calm the road rage and I like to listen to Dance, Trance and Hard House on long trips to help stay awake (and yes I bop along to it as well, keeps the blood circulating) But more then often it's locked on JJJ...
  23. This is because of the halt in sale of lead replacement fuel, many oil companies are upgrading these now unused pumps to 98 octane and Caltex used the timing to launch the Vortex98 brand (I don't klnow much about it but I guess it is Vortex95 with added toluene to raise the RON). Hopefully this will lead to there being more 98 premium available in regonal Australia...
  24. hehehehe, I'm from South Australia and myself and most of my friends seem to name our cars..... So not a South Aussie thing, just homophobic I guess!!!!! (just kidding we are all open to our opinoins) I'm just comfortable enough with my sexuality (straight as a bean pole for those thinking otherwise, not that there is anything wrong with that ;) ) to know naming cars means jack s**t it just a bit of fun and creativity :D :D :D
