  1. I seem think this bot is copying posts from this forum, or one similar and posting them up. If you have a look at all the threads its started via the profile, you will see what I mean. But then who knows.
  2. Heck! These spam bots are getting out of hand I think.

    grille

I am sure many of us are! There was one on eBay a few weeks back, only the seller took it down before the end of the auction. So I mailed him, and he said he was clearing out a warehouse and this was one of the items, but he discovered it was cracked and had a manufacture default of the mounting positions. I said I would still buy it, but never heard back. :(
  4. May seem a bit of a silly question, but what do you mean by tuned lateralus?
  5. That’s total Bull! The fuel consumption figures are not even done by Toyota, but by Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government, in real world situations, with a combination of urban, and highway driving. Your car should be getting a lower figure closer to the 9.9L/100kms.
  6. I see this spam bots posts arent getting any better! It is totally beyond me why it is posting here. Some of its post are amusing actually, so maybe it can stay a little longer. lol.
  7. I had the rear one on for about a month before putting the front sway bar in and I found that it dose make a difference when your going really hard around sharp corners, and I also have the Sportivo strut brace. Admittedly I still have standard Altise shocks and springs, but still, I personally would recommend it.
  8. I have the front and rear whiteline sway bars, really well worth it. I still only have the stock Altise suspension, but it handles really much better than it did before. I find the understeer to be really good, you have to be going quite hard to get it. You shouldn’t need to get a front wheel alignment as you only need to knock the tie rods out. The job is not near as hard as the workshop manual says, 31 steps but really maybe about 10.
  9. I recently got a set of NGK Iridium IX (BKR6EIX-11), but to say there is any real improvement would be stretching it I think. I guess the only real benefit would be longer lasting plugs, and maybe improvement life of the ignition system due to less power being drawn. (Or so it says on the box)
  10. Why not? Its only adjustment of the peddle. It’s not as though he is pulling it to bits of anything. But if you want to adjust the rear shoes you may want to be a little more mechanical minded, but still not that hard.

    Timing Belt

I think it is annoying everyone. I keep wondering whether it is actually a person who types the replies, or whether it is completely computer generated. I think that it is a person typing the posts. I think a computer would be a bit more intelligent. Lol. But why is the question, only thing I can think of is he is trying to get to the 30 posts required to sell things on this forum.
  12. Yes that’s because it would have gone a car carrier, a tuck which carries many cars on board, this type of service probably wouldnt be available on a short route like you are asking, but even if it was they probably wouldnt take it as it needs to be drivable. It maybe cheaper than $800, but it wouldnt be to much less as a the truck will have go down empty and pick up your friends car and come back with it, which will be 600kms. Unless you know someone with a car capable of pulling a large trailer, you could hire a car trailer and go pick it up.
  13. Since its un-driveable, it will have to go on a tow truck. Most towing services should do it, but it won’t be cheap going 600kms, I would say about $800. Is the vehicle covered by insurance?
  14. You're joking right? Lol Don’t worry about that user Anthony, it is only a spammer, some of the most useless posts I have ever seen, trying to get enough posts to legitimately sell things, it ant goanna work!! Sorry, back on topic…
  15. Welcome mate! Yeah I agree with what the others have said, ether keep it an auto or go and trade your car for a manual one. It would probably cost no less than about $4000 I would say, as you need quite a few bits and pieces, possibly a new ECU as it is involved with the Auto box, not sure if it would work with the manual trans.
  16. Here you go, a non genuine set of foggies for the face lift on eBay for $165 http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Toyota-Camry-04-06-...A1%7C240%3A1318
  17. Hi mate! Welcome. You Cam looks very nice with those wheels! Any issues with rubbing or anything?
  18. Well I know that for the pre-face lift (02-04) just the light them selves are $500 a side. I have seen them on eBay for about $150 a pair for the 02-04 but I can’t say for the 04-06. And depending if you want the proper switch for the fogs on the indicator stalk, or mount a switch next to the dash brightness switch, it could be quite expensive.

    TOCAU plates

It seems nothing ever came of it. TOCAU Licence Plate Frames.
  20. Well took it to Toyota and they fond the problem to be low fuel pressure caused by a deformed “O” ring in the fuel pump assembly. It starts really well now. But they said if it comes back I may need a new fuel pump assembly, but let’s hope it says good!
  21. I know it’s not the same, but the corolla has basically the same HU, so after removing the facia like laterals said, this corolla DIY should help. I think I have seen when people change this HU out with a standard double din, it leaves a small gap each side, as it is extra wide I believe. So you may need to get some little side facia things, if that makes sense. Have a search around the forum; even the corolla stuff should be applicable. I like that GPS unit, I would like to put something like that in my Camry one day.
  22. Have you checked the Aurion FAQ?
  23. Not true in QLD. Before the new laws came in you did not have to display any P plates. People who got there licence before the enforcement date do not need to comply with the new system, such as high powered cars etc, it’s ok to drive them. So if your friend got his licence before the date, he wasn’t doing anything wrong not displaying any plates and driving that car. Just the cop was being a sod!
  24. 100% sure the grill will fit, as there is a chap on one of the Camry forums that has done it.
  25. CamCrew is gone now days, Auscam is the place now, Poohbear is on there, but I don’t think he posts. He is also a member on here. This is his cardomian page to see his lights.http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2619744/4
