  1. Your best bet would be to go with a set of King lows, they are firmer than the stock Altise, but not unconfutable by any means, as Andrew said.
  2. Hi all, been a quiet member here for some time. Anyway my ride is a 2003 Camry Altise, been in the family since new, but I have owned it for about 18 months now. 3. On bad water scale I use ceramic cook top cleaner, works wonders and doesn’t scratch the glass. http://www.hillmark.com.au/Products/Cerapol.aspx
  4. I use Meguiars, mainly because I live in a country town, so there are not a lot of options but the local supercheap stocks a fair range of Meguiars. I am familiar with using it now, plus its good value compared to some other brands.
  5. The 2AZ-FE doesn’t have a timing belt, it has a chain, I don’t believe that would need replacing for a long time yet, if ever.
  6. I got a quote recently for the KYB’s from GSL RallySport, which was $145 per shock, and they quoted $35 shipping for four shocks and four king springs, so it wouldn’t be more than that for you.
  7. The Altise is not equipped with an alarm, and locking the car with the boot open, I don’t think it matters, but I don’t think I have ever tried.
  8. The fog lights will come on if you have just the park lights on, that’s what most people who have just their fogs on are doing. But you should be aware that driving with you fog lights on in clear weather day or night is illegal in many states now, especially NSW.
  9. New road laws effective from 12/10/09 According to QT it wasn’t illegal to drive with fog lights on in QLD previously, but as of Monday its a $40 dollar fine.
  10. Yeah they fit no problem on my Camry. Only the head rest needs to be right down I find, or its too tight. One other thing, (maybe it was just my ones) was the Velcro straps weren’t sowed on very well so I got my mother to redo them with the sowing machine. :D
  11. HB4 they are, although it says H3 in the manual, which was a mistake.
  12. Hey mate, welcome abord! There are a handful of FNQers on here.
  13. I assume we are talking 2AZ engine? If so its acutely very easy Replacing serpentine belt 2AZ-FE follow those instructions and its should take about 5-10 min. the 3 second thing is rubbish also.
  14. Yeah your right redracer, as the engine warms up the coolant expands, consequently it flows into the overflow tank, then once the engines is turned off and starts to cool it will start to pull coolant back into the radiator. Hence the full line on the overflow is only about half.
  15. The 4cyl Ateva had the trip computer, so it must be doable. Maybe you should go and talk to your Toyota pars department and see what extra parts are required. But knowing Toyota the price would make it unviable.
  16. Because you have to be a silver member to view attachments.
  17. No, but the ones for the Scion TC need modification to fit the Camry, according to TN. Not to mention by the time you paid shipping, it would be cheaper to go custom I should think.
  18. btw...Are Camry/Solara the same thing? Well yes in as much as that is Camry Solara. But obviously not in the sedan form.
  19. Well with the gen 5 Sportivo the genuine Toyota brace fits both the I4 and V6. but it seems the white line one doesn’t bend up like the Toyota one making it more ridged. consequently it may not clear the V6 as it takes up more room.
  20. If it wouldn’t be to much trouble, if you could put these wheels on and lower it a bit, not overly. Also if you could then paint the black side mouldings and door handles in white. You can find my car here. Thanks :)
  21. Yes that’s correct, the genuine Toyota long life coolant is red.
  22. Welcome Alfred from a fellow FNQer (Just out from Innisfail)
