  1. Mr Revhead how about being a little more constructive. If you think they are overpriced (I have no idea) then tell us where you can get good quality gear from the address and how much.
  2. I forgot to add the shop is opposite the Myer Centre up (the river side) from Elizabeth Arcade. Elizabeth St is quite a long street
  3. Yesterday I said I would look into these stickers but I can't find the original thread to reply. The store is called E & E in Elizabeth Street Brisbane and they have a selection of TRD Racing Development stickers 2 sizes from $8 - 14 and some TOM'S Stickers $14 There is also a Set of TOM's Stickers for $14 They look like reasonable quality
  4. Couldn't believe that loss by the lions - talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Didn't see any Sportivo though through the Crown Lager fog. Corporate box free ticket great seats plenty of eats and free free Crownies. Luck it rained on Sunday - didn't even have to feel sorry for no bike ride.
  5. For the last 3 weeks I've had a car park in the city where it's a steep ramp from underground to the road. Due to peak times its busy getting out there is a bank of cars going up the ramp and everyone seems to use their handbrake on the hill as the car behind tends to be right up the ar$e of the next car. All cars I have followed up the ramp do move as you described it appears that when the weight of the car shifts from 4 wheels to two the car bucks a bit . It seems as if its only the springs moving and not the actual car rolling back. I have to do it every time as it seems that the Sportivo clutch likes to burn and smell a bit if you try to slip it too much in this situation.
  6. There's a phone store in Elizabeth Street that has stickers like this $5.00 - $15.00 Their stock changes occassionally. I'll go up at lunch tomorrow and find out what they have got. They import all sorts of dodgy stuff. Bought my Nokia to USB cable there heaps cheaper than normal phone shop prices.
  7. My two cents worth as well Try the coloured polish (obviously black) I forget the brand it also comes with the lipstick wax for filling in deep scratches. I used the dark blue on my camry before trading it in it looked really good after. The coloured polish seems to get in and cover up the ligher undercoat. Don't know how it would last cause I traded it. If its not deep I have used Mothers swirl remover on the Sportivo and it has hidden scratches really well. Hope it's not too bad.
  8. Mr Moderator Or the owner of that avatar. Me thinks it needs to be taken off Blk T Sport. Some of us work in places with sexual harrassment laws
  9. Sunturd. My oldies had one it really served them well. What was Holden thinking get an old six cylinder holden motor attack it with a hack saw chop of two cylinders and you have a great four cylinder. I think not.
  10. I think the second option. I told her it was going to cost a lot - she said how much. I said you don't want to know. She hasn't pressed yet but I'm sure she will keep it up her sleeve next time I go off about how much shes dumped on the Visa.
  11. I have done a standing start Individual Time Trial on basically flat road for 4 minutes and did 2.69klms @ average 39.9KPH So 1/4 mile = 402.325m You do the math !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PS How do I tell my wife about this expense
  12. He's talking GT4 Nothing for the real snowflake. Didn't you notice he didn't join the group buy for the sills
  13. "anything" There I've done what you asked
  14. Did you see all the Mazda stuff in the Sunday paper. Apparently the Mazda 2 & 3 is marketed to chicks specifically and they are sponsoring some womens things to support this. So if you want to drive a girrly car go for it. PS I do like the Mazda 3 however and could even see my self with one (after the operation). Ha Ha
  15. The disc brakes have gone on my mountain bike (why do some manufactures think they can make them out of plastic). Well they have a new international standard since I bought mine and everything is now a six bolt rotor and mines 4 so I have to buy two new wheels as well so $500 with new brakes $600 but i can but a whole new groupset for $1100 (like getting the whole motor gearbox and brakes attached for less than double the price) So now I'm going to be $1600 bucks out of pocket and no closer to even buying that rear skirt I want.
  16. Hey look at my list of past cars. The T18 at least looked good. Steel wheels with chrome trim and all. Didn't handle very well and didn't have a powerful engine actually underpowered but hell it had steel wheels with chrome trim.
  17. All of the current owners had to get the recall done. It was just easy to go to the dealer and get it done when you have all your (and the cars) details on their computer and there were no questions asked. Compare the extra cost to what you have invested in a new car and what you hope to get on a trade in later. I believe it is worth it to get the thing serviced by Toyota. The extra cost against all your running costs and depreciation is nothing. Think about this - Would you rather buy a second hand car with Toyota Service history or some local mechanic stamp in the book ? and what would you be prepared to pay for it or if you were choosing between two cars the same with these service books which would you pick. Does the dealer drive me to work in the city and pick me up in the afternoon - absolutely would some local mechanic - maybe and if so probably in your car. There are pros and cons for the dealers and the dealers are usually good. My wife stuffed up the power outlet with her mobile phone re charger and they fixed it free and I actually got a replacement with a cig lighter rather than a plastic plug (Camry). Yes people have gripes with dealers but from what I see it's only because they are not getting something for free and you wont get nothing free at all outside Toyota. It's just one less obstacle you have to over come if there is a problem down the track. My vote go to a dealer it's like insurance we all hate paying it but it's a necessary evil.
  18. I've only ever had lift up to 4th - but hey 160kph is enough for me.
  19. Why ? Was this a transplant from a non compliant donor vehicle
  20. 1. Fog lights which are apparently illegal to have on - but mine have never been off since 8/2003 2. Day one - but wait till you have picked up you mate, neighbour or whoever you wish to impress. Just wait till the temp is up. Can't say it's done any harm doing it but hey it's a silver one and they are made for it.
  21. There must be some good deals out there. I heard an ad on the radio y'day that QBE (pretty sure) were now offering 4 years replacement on new cars now. So if written off in first 4 years they give you a new one.
  22. Thanks for the assistance. I have the application form (PDF) from site given by Craig. It all looks good but the only catch is that there's a minimum $10 per quarter usage fee. If you use $10 and thats really like only one a month (over and back) so worth it.
  23. Anyboby know how and where to buy an E Toll for the Gateway Bridge ?
  24. That rear sportivo badge is huge (obviously lifted of the Camry) and uuuggggglllyy
