all the tps does is give a signal to the ecu in relation to engine load it usually pronounces itself by causing a flat spot at a certain throttle position. is it chewing alot of fuel? check things like the vaccume hose off the fuel pressure regulator if the inside of the hose is wet its stuffed try clamp off the fuel line to the cold start injector its in the center of the plenum by memory or clamp the return line while idling for a few seconds

Low pressure injectors (i.e. injectors that supply fuel into the intake ports) aren't normally that loud. I know direct injection injectors (like the ones in my wife's MKV GTI) are pretty loud. The Ultima hatch she had before that (ZZE-122R - 1ZZ-FE) had quiet injectors - same injection into intake port setup as your 2ZR-FE. Get it checked mate, just in case a lash adjuster has bunged itself in and causes consequential damage. I reckon when Toyota bring out the Valvematic engines to replace the current VVT-i series, they'll go direct injection. Still about 3 years away I'd say... itll be interesting to see. if you want noisey injectors try the nissan rb30 theyre really loud

alarm broken in 3 month old corolla + toyota are dicks
T.J replied to Dave89's topic in Corolla / Corolla Sportivo Club
i service mine every 5000 oil and filter but 10000 is fine if theyre putting 5000 on the sticker it probably means oil only its up to you. if you take it back in 5000 klms get them to change the filter otherwise the oil change is pretty much a waste -

Non-TRD dealers become TRD dealers 1/3/08
T.J replied to pinzvidz's topic in General Toyota & Other Car Discussions
That's the question we ask ourselves everyday Jase... The rally cars are only TRD Corollas because Neal Bates Automotive built them virtually from the ground up to be weapons. Toyota give them money and say "here, make us look good". exactly all the running gear was stripped out and a gt4 driveline put in maybe trd could take a leaf out of his book and produce something that has a similar concept in terms of driveline if it wasnt in danger of overweighting the front end they could try fit in the blown six make the suspension decent and youd have a winner for sure. toyota seems to be staying close to its sporty whitegoods persona the trd hilux was WEEEEEEEAKKK! lets add a bodykit and supercharger and hope it looks more exciting sorry take it back drop a 2uz in it factory 20's and a slightly less garish bodykit then try again -

quick question not meaning to be samrt but have you checked the actual siren? or is it wired into the horn? maybe during the service they turned the siren off using the alarm key i dunno how many toyota dealers do it i used to when did services cause nothings more annoying than working on a car when its alarm keeps freakin going off. -
if its getting worse probably a good idea to be taking it back n asking them to look at it

no reason why we couldnt try make the kit work in a corolla still dont know how they get them to change in the tach like that possibly the led's are dual channel hooked to a shift light actuator i just like the look of the dash in a light blue looks better that the red led's which seem to be climbing on board just about every mazda these days

NOOOOOOOOOOO why jebus, i'd so love to have the F1 shift lifts *** damn it what about this one looks like a promo vid for some company called LEDmod.com that was on celica apparently it needs aftermarket gauges to work properly something to do with light distribution the kits like 35 bucks us wouldnt be a too costly experiment i suppose
-
one time i pulled into a servo and some guy came up to me trying to sell me this car wash in a can crap after tellin him i wasnt interested several times he then proceded to spray the stuff on the car and give me a little demo and cause the car was dirty it scratched the paintwork. needless to say i nearly punched him out

hows the quality of your wire joins? are they soldered and properly insulated or just twisted together with some tape covering it? the wire joins can cause the problem or there might be a short in the speaker wires try using the stereo as you would to make the problem occur then disconnect the wires from each speaker one at a time to see if theres a change reconnect each speaker after you test it. but before all that whats the bass setting on the deck maybe the speakers arent capable of handling alot of bass try turning it down first and see if it helps
