  1. Welcome to the forum Stan, Lots of great minds on here I am sure will help with any questions. Enjoy the forum KAA
  2. Hi Shane, That is a weird issue as I have never had an issue with the lumbar support, I hope others can offer advise as pulling the seat apart wont be easy I assume to get to the support, and not a job I would want to tackle myself. I would be checking out anything you can find online as to the interior set up of the seat, if I recall right I did watch a video done by The Car Car Nut who is a Master Toyota Tech on you tube on changing the seat covers so it may offer some info. Let us know what the outcome is mate KAA
  3. Welcome to the forum Chris, Sounds like a nice project car for you. The old Toyotas were actually super easy to work on so you will be fine if you keep tackling it like you have. Think ahead plan ahead and just take your time tracing wires, personally I would do as much rewiring as you can handle as all will be aged and in need of replacing or inspection at the very least. Lets us know how you get on with the refreshing of your Corona mate. Well done on keeping an old gem alive. KAA
  4. Hi all, sneaked into my local Supercheap yesterday and grabbed a 3 Lt Bottle of Auto Glym Polar Wash for $21.99 worth it as a Foam Wash Pre Wash and for half price as my alternative was the new Turtle Wax Pure Slick & Slide was like $75 which is a total rip off for the size of the bottle think the sale ends on the 7th. KAA
  5. Well done Jamie, they will make life a lot better at night, did you keep the standard globes in them or change out to LED? KAA
  6. Sounds like your only option Mike is to have it towed over, at least then he can do some magic for you to get some answers mate hope it isn't a major issue. KAA
  7. Yes Tony the choice of Satin Canyon Black was intentional, I didn't want Gloss or Matt so the outcome was exactly what I was after and really happy with it. Now a day after it has settled into a nice soft Satin finish. As always Stay Safe Mate KAA
  8. Hi Steve, Can't say I have ever heard it beeping to prime our Presara mate All I know is I hit the start and it goes vrooom every time so I would not worry, as long as it starts it is fine. KAA
  9. Hi all, wow very happy with the end results of the repainted grille, looks really great now, was told just buy another but they only had chrome or gloss black and the cost and delivery fee was not worth it as nothing wrong with the old grille apart from the pitting and age marks so this was a fantasic saving and love the satin look. 1st Pic is Old Grille a bit of shine but close up looked bad, next are the repainted install Hugs All KAA
  10. Hi all, so a long awaited job done repainting my grille for our Presara, the chrome was pitted and badly worn so a few hours spent lightly sanding and a good wash and IPA wipe down, and fortunately a wonderful sunny light winds day saw the grille sprayed with 4 coats of Rust Oleum Canyon Black Satin and 3 coats of Rust Oleum Crystal Clear Satin and the results were fantastic. Tomorrow will see it refitted so these are the Pic's I have so far and will post some of it fitted back into "Faye" the first 2 Pic's are the 4th coat of Canyon Black the last is 3 coats of Crystal Clear. Hugs Stay Safe All, KAA
  11. Yes Tony it looks a great product, as are nearly all they have released in this hybrid range. It is the cost that I have seen online that is really the downside right now. I also have a bit left to use but with all the rain of late has been delayed for a few fine days to come. The Flex Wax is fantastic as when I do wash I add a few sprays wipe it in while the car is wet and drying is so easy. Lets hope when all the new range finally arrives on the shelves there are some sales to grab a few at a decent price. Keep Well and safe mate, Robert
  12. Thanks Tommy, your not alone in having that precise document keeping method I have every receipt of everything I have bought done or had done as well. All filed and in date order I went through them about 6 months ago and wrote on any what it was used for ex: Bought Turtle Wax Flex Wax applied date etc. So OCD is handy as well as annoying LOL Keep Safe and Strong Mate KAA
  13. Thanks mate, I was watching and waiting for the new TW Pure slick and slide car wash to arrive and saw an advert for it but even reduced it is over $50 for the 2.5 litres it think the size is, so went hmm no way will wait longer and use up my TW 3 in 1 wash I have. It looks a great wash Ph neutral and from what I have seen a great wash but not at that price. KAA
  14. Thanks Tommy, Love new toys, so thanks for posting the pic's. Yes keep good notes and if like me your OCD kicks in you can check and recheck. handy toy to have so if anything does show up you have details already in your hand and can source fixes gotta love modern tech when it works LOL Thanks Mate KAA
  15. Hi Ben, Then if that what you can afford do it, just offered used as sometimes you can get good unmarked parts that way. Yes love our Aurions simply a great car. KAA
  16. Yes as Tony said loads of wreckers have decent parts around if your willing to get online and hunt a few. I recently had to do my front bar cover so I know the pain as it was the first ever accident my wife has had so she took it tough knowing my love for our girl. Make sure to dig deep under all that damage for anything else that is a potential fail like wiring or component damage etc and good luck. KAA
  17. Welcome to the forum Paul, thanks for the picture as well always happy to see sunshine and open spaces mate. KAA
  18. Hi Barrie, That's always a tough one to answer as everyone has different tastes and likes, I would check out online what is about and has all the functions features your after that way you can narrow the field to a few and then decided based on the prices etc. I went to Monster Audio and found them excellent with service and fitment of the head-unit, so check out a few then maybe phone calls to see who has what and can offer what as well. Let us know how you go mate and maybe some Pic's KAA
  19. Hi Erin that seems a very weird problem, I got sick of the head unit in ours and decided to update so sorry can't assist but maybe some will have an answer as it is a very strange issue. maybe it just hates that particular artist LOL sorry had to 😊 KAA
  20. Welcome to the forum Des, glad you decided to join us mate. KAA
  21. Hi, personally I would be hunting online or at a good auto wrecker for a new/used stalk, as the cost for diagnosing the issue could be very high and then he would more than likely say he needs to replace it. So personally I would replace it, can't recommend anyone as I am in NSW but If I recall right it is fairly straight forward to replace, requires removing the horn cover and 2 screws and a plug. Always disconnect the battery first so no issues. Let us know how you get on and I am sure if any know the process they will post their experience. KAA
  22. Yes The Car Care Nut does show it can be done fairly easy he explains it very well so that is the one go to video I would follow as he knows his stuff. Thanks for posting it Tony KAA
  23. Hi Lyn it can be done but really needs you to locate where the beeper is located, unfortunately these days they hide the beepers in weird hard to get at locations. It is designed as a safety feature so you know if walking away your car locks. Your wonderful to be so considerate your neighbours but I would leave it and live with it myself. Maybe more seasoned minds on here will be able to let you know more information as I don't fiddle with any electronics with these computers on wheels. KAA
  24. Hi Heyman, I am sure many will have their own suggestions but for me look at Corolla's or Yaris as being Toyota your finding reliability and also ability to get parts easy. There are many around and being small cheap to run they should fit your needs. Like anything get them checked over very well by a reliable mechanic and all the paperwork to show service history. Let us know what happens mate KAA
  25. Hi Jude, Same advise as Tony with going genuine if you can afford it you are 100% sure then it will fit right and last plus you get a warranty on the part. As far as a workshop hopefully some in Victoria will be able to help out with recommendations. Let us know what you decide and how it went mate KAA
