  1. Nice comparison there. Does a good job at showing just how different the styling is. That damn lower spoiler section certainly stands out doesn't it.
  2. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P Yes. The supercharger does love it
  3. K&N only have one type of oil (in two formats; aerosol and liquid) and typically sell it in store as a "Recharge Kit". The most common item is the aerosol version as it is the easiest to apply. Just hit up a Repco or any other automotive store and say you want a K&N Recharge Kit. They will know what you mean. It is about $20.
  4. Far out this cold weather sucks. Need more V8 heater.
  5. For cars such as the Aurion, I don't believe that using an aftermarket panel filter replacement such as the K&N will make any difference. I would even go as far as saying the Typhoon intake probably doesn't make a measurable difference. The main advantage you are getting here though is the benefit of reusability. With the OEM disposable filters costing around $30 each, a reusable panel filter can pay for itself in just a few filter change cycles (60,000 - 90,000km) depending your driving conditions. The only real restriction in these cars is the intake snorkel component itself from the air filter box to the opening above the radiator. The snorkel tapers down from a relatively large opening to an opening about half the size. I personally don't think this is an issue on the N/A 2GR-FE however on the TRD, it does make a noticeable difference which you can hear at higher revs with WOT. But even then we are taking fractions of a second when the car is raced in controlled conditions.
  6. I did not say the location in the head unit harness is the same.
  7. My input... there already is a wire at the head unit of all Aurion (at least the Sportivo) for the speed sensor. The factory 6-Stacker has an ASL feature built-in which requires this. Time to do more research. DK... out.
  8. If I have learnt anything from all this Andrew... it's that it is not a gimmick. It does exactly what it is meant to do.... which is to make the car feel more responsive to the driver. At the end of the day, all it is doing is applying the throttle at a rate that is different to what you have been used to with your car. The result of this is that you in turn think it is more responsive. Imagine it's like changing the scale that your TV volume goes up in so that the numbers are then halved. Your TV gets louder at a lower number... but at the end of the day, it just maxes out sooner. The capability of the speakers don't actually increase. Ultimately it does nothing for actual performance. But for some people, feeling that their car is quicker because it takes less physical throttle to do something is more than enough for them.
  9. I'm sold on everything but the bonnet and wheels. First thought with the bonnet was Commodore... even though it has nothing to do with it. Wheels... Can't quite tell why I don't like it. I think it's cause their fitment isn't quite right. I think they need to be at least 20 inch. 21 would be ideal to match.
  10. I remember reading something about K&N, so don't quote me on it buy it was something like K&N not having the greatest filtration of filters out there. Something along the lines that do let through certain microns of particles.... however, these are not going to destroy engine and will most likely just pass through like it wast there.
  11. I'm pretty sure DJKOR does not give a flying f*** what you do to your Camry to change the way it feels to yourself.
  12. Just an idea here but what if the part actually doesn't exist individually? Like that small part may simply be part of the larger trim as a whole which may explain why they can't source a part number for it. Much like how the little divider in the cup holders of some of their cars can't be purchased separately from the entire cup holder assembly. So even though it may seem unreasonable, your dealer isn't necessarily lying to you.
  13. Here's one I prepared earlier. The "Members Rides" section would be of particular interest in this case: Welcome to TOCAU
  14. *vomit* Even that Bentley doesn't suit the finish. In my opinion, the only car to have managed to pull off a mirror/chrome finish is an Audi S5... and that's still cutting it fine:
  15. Last bit of wording I am going to provide on this matter so too bad so sad if it is of no use. Nowhere did you mention yourself connecting the shield of the RCA cable to the head unit. If you have an RCA cable, with three conductors inside, one of them is going to be used for the video signal, one is the positive for the camera power, the other is negative, and the shield of the RCA cable connects to the grey wire of the head unit (pin 23).
  16. Impatient aren't you? Less than 3 hours and you have sent me a PM with the same question. You are aware that the Factory Satnav unit outputs 6 volts (as seen on the first page) right?
  17. Time to start fresh. First post has been edited to be more appropriate to what the OP is trying to say. If this thread even starts heading down the direction it last went in, I will delete it... no questions asked.
  18. I thought an older bloke would know better right?
  19. ^ And the admin control panel on this forum is a useful utility to block spambots. I'll give you benefit of the doubt because your account has been used legitimately before, but I'm going to keep an eye on you in case your account has been taken over. Edit: That looks about right now.
  20. Of all the people here who were having a stab at you for getting your knickers in a twist over rear fixed headrests... you had to choose Mick as the one to start a hissy fit over. Out of everything I've seen go on around here, I have not seen anyone get worked up so easily.
  21. LAST LONGER OR BETTER PERFORMANCE. YOU CAN ONLY PICK ONE OR THE OTHER OR YOU HAVE TO COMPROMISE AND SIT IN THE MIDDLE.
  22. Too bad the TRD is not even worth the same value as the AT-X.
  23. I think I am going to have to pull out of this one guys. Things at work are starting to pick up speed and it is going to make it difficult to attend. Make sure to get lots of photos for those of us who can't make it.
  24. No. The hose doesn't exactly follow a straight path. There is a slight bend in it, but it's not extra stress on the hose. They do. This wasn't what would be classified as a product recall. Even though the oil leak was happening quite a bit in the States, it wasn't happening like that over here and they chose to change the hose anyway for customer satisfaction.
