  1. Just because I'm young, doesn't mean I'm not aware of that common saying. Fact of life is... regardless of whether something works well or not, someone is always going to try and "improve" it. Otherwise you'd never be moving forward.
  2. Plus... when you don't have many points on your licence, you tend to think about these things a little more than usual, signed or not.* Plus NSW and VIC seem to be a bit stricter on the road rules. Plus I can't afford to be banned from driving in NSW anytime this year. And you just gotta be careful these days cause one of these could be pulling you over... well for us QLD drivers:

When you format a drive or something (in this case my phone) without backing up particular data (or not backing it up properly). Just reflashed my phone and lost about 5 months worth of text messages which I like to keep.
  4. Now you can truly agree that it is not caused by: :P
  5. How did you find out whether the lights have cameras or not? I know sounds like a stupid question, of course it'll have cameras somewhere around it.. *Duh*. I mean, U can't really pay attention to evry lights and scan around the areas. Even sometimes the cameras aren't meant for the path you were in. It's called being observant. It's pretty hard not to see a red light camera... especially the bulky a** ones in Sydney. Everybody is different, but I can spot these things. In most cases, If u tried to reverse to avoid the blocking, u'r fine. I reckon the line is only a rough guide of where you should stop. exceeding it by a 'reasonable' amount wouldn't get you any penalty, given under certain circumstances. Good to see you really read your road rules. The white line is called a stop line for a reason. For the Queensland side of things, they even wrote this out to make sure it is known:
  6. I do agree on the whole quality control thing, but when it comes to testing something, there is only so much you can test. Sure enough the pedal can be put through it's paces, but this sticking issue was one of those things that no one could really pinpoint the exact conditions that caused it to occur. So throughout all the testing that Toyota could have done, quite simply, they may not have gotten close to matching this condition.
  7. Can we even do A pillar mods considering the airbags? I would say you can provided that it doesn't interfere with the proper operation of the side airbags. The A-pillar is designed to come loose at the top (pivoting on the bottom) and comes out about an inch. With those speakers there, I would imagine that they would not affect this operation in any way. My main concern though would be visibility. It's already bad enough as it is.
  8. Wasting nothing but your own time At least it can be a recommendation for Adrian I guess.
  9. I swear I just heard an echo. Scroll up a little :P :

Yeah.. I hate it when you go to a movie and there is a group of teens who think it's all well and good to talk through the trailers. Usually others tell them to shut the f* up luckily as well. My next rant... just got me then. When you have MSN open and someone (due to connection issues or not) signs in and out multiple times within the minute. Popup and sound gets really annoying.
  11. Bit of a massive thread resurrection, but came across these posted in the American boards:
  12. ... And this is why when I was in Sydney the other week, if I approached a set of lights with a red light camera, I was very cautious.
  13. Is it one of those ones that emulate a CD changer? SupaTouring has one of those... SL2i it is called. Would have some circuitry inside it to create that emulation I would imagine.
  14. ^ Yeah Sean... that's the type of one I was thinking of.
  15. Better still, have a look around here: Gen 5 & 6 - Toyota Forums :: Toyota Nation
  16. I don't have too much input... only to say that if you want a great camera, Sony Ericsson has always been my first choice. In terms of having large memory and a clean interface, you can't say no to an iPhone. Personally I hate them, but my hate is with Apple and not the phone itself. I'm currently a HTC user at the moment. Touch Diamond.... would not recommend to anyone. It's one of those phones you have to get used to if you want to like it.
  17. Unless it's one of those really good ones. I can't find a link to it, but from memory, it used those gas struts and the boot opened completely flat and really smooth.
  18. It doesn't actually affect the pedal travel. You need to read the article with a bit more depth to see how it all comes together. Basically the shim is used to reduce friction on the teeth:
  19. That one is going to be a hard one to dispute I reckon. Even if the front of your car crossed the line when the light was yellow, the bulk of the car must have crossed the line (therefore leaving the sensor on the road) once the light turned red, hence tripping the camera. Their simple dispute would be that if the light was red by the time your car was at the position shown in the first photo, you would have had more than enough time/space to react to the yellow light to bring your car to a stop safely. The way it's going to play out if you argue it is that if you say it was yellow when you crossed the stop line, they will just say that it is clearly red in the photo. It's your word against theirs and their photo.

  21. Looking good mate. It's like a mix between VIP with some sportiness thrown in. Not sure if I'm liking the black roof, but as with all car styling, each to their own. The one thing you are missing is a window tint.
