  1. Mecha'nic'-wombat lol, easy peasy... just do them up by hand first, or socket without the ratchet.. so u dont cross thread it. and dont over tighten it and strip it...make sure the gaps on the spark plug looks all the same, and none are damaged... n DONE! Yeah, at least you aren't working on an Aurion:
  2. When combined with a properly designed reflector, they actually work quite well. The problem here is, this was for a headlight design by Mecedes from a little while back. Now manufacturers of these kits think that they can utilise it to make sales and don't realise that the glare shield has to be placed appropriately at the very least for it work. Then comes the issue of the reflector housing that it goes in, which they can't cater for everyone. Edit: For example, these lamps here are H7 and you can see where the shield in in relation to the locating tab: Not all cars that have H7 bulbs have the locating tab at the bottom. Some have it on the side (either 45 or 90 degrees to the vertical)... or even worse, the top. If the locating tab was at the top, so would the glare shield. This would result in lower light output and glare problems still there. A good example of how most of these are just for marketing, they state on their product listing: When in fact this statement is incorrect as the glare is produced by light emitted from the bottom side of the lamp reflecting on the bottom half of the reflector upwards towards anything in front.
  3. The bulbs will have a black coating similar to what can be seen in this comparison photo: Despite what some think, the advantages of this shied is not always great (even non existent) when the headlamp reflector isn't already designed with this in mind and/or the lamp doesn't have the glare shield orientated correctly.
  4. Thanks mate. Have forwarded that on to their forum.
  5. As far as I'm aware, you can only get the sockets with the nylon coating on the outside to protect the wheels themselves. Having something on the inside would require that it withstand a bit of force which can be difficult to find. One method I would have is to line the inside of the socket with a couple of layers of electrical tape. This would eventually wear, but it is a start and it's easy to change. Edit: Did some searching and came across this. All I have found so far. Not sure if the size is appropriate though: http://www.porscheshop.co.uk/acatalog/whee...ts_porsche.html http://www.allzim.com/acatalog/Ultimate_Lu...ket.html#aT101A
  6. Hey Steven. To help out the American forum, could you advise whether for the navigation unit, it was just a case of removing the green caps on the LED's or whether you had to completely change them over to make it blue?

    Photoshop!!!!

Good luck with that. Turning something gloss into flat is very difficult and time consuming because flat captures and spreads out light where gloss reflects. Some one please prove me wrong. Yeah I know... maybe just a rough look to get the idea going, even if the car looks fake as.
  8. Actually, it's the same account. You can change your username though "My Controls" you know. As well, he has sold the TRD per family commitments at the time. Still agree on all previous statements though.

    Photoshop!!!!

Would someone here be able to do me a favour and work their magic? I would love to see what my girl would look like if she was flat black. Tanks Charlie for the stock photo:

    Little Rants

^ Amen to that. I hate those that can't type or speak proper English. Sure we may do it for certain things like LOL and whatnot, but it's not a replacement for English. Here is an extreme case: And those status updates by those attention whores end up with so many damn replies... and even still, they update it again another 50 times. That's when it's time to do some Facebook culling. Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load!

    High Beams...

  13. Good point... that as well. Don't forget karaoke
  14. I've been pretty lucky to snap out of the blackout before things get busy. My (dare I say) standards seem to stay intact when I'm drunk which is pretty lucky as well. From there on in... I never question it at the time. Those are the good times though. Alcohol has also led me down the wrong trail many a time. I'm starting to grow out of it luckily. So I think anyways.

    We got hacked?

This thing has made 32 posts already which according to it's profile, is 7.34 posts per day. It is really annoying me now because it's like a problem I can't solve.
  16. I would like to think it's that, but if it's to the point that I black out, I would imagine my speech would be slurring pretty bad by then. I dunno, maybe when I black out, I don't appear drunk anymore. I guess it's one of those things I'll never know because of the first problem that I tend to disappear and no one else can tell me what happens
  17. Yeah, photos are the worst. Even made more worse when your friends have something to laugh about that you don't know.
  18. Oh yeah, another stereotype are the Filipino's working in hospitality as housekeeping. There are just jobs that have a larger selection of a particular culture. I personally find nothing wrong with it, an no one should. The only thing I have an issue with are those that come to live in Australia and choose not to fit in with everyone. There was this story on (dare I say) Today Tonight where an Asian community was arguing that stuff like road signs and parking restriction signs should be changed so they could understand them better and that they have been fined for things they don't understand. Seriously, if you want to live here, learn to understand stuff like that.
  19. If you really wanted to get some serious reception with that particular station, you can start making a dipole antenna, using the frequency of your desired station as your wavelength reference. Then again this may require a little creativity to mount somewhere, so this would probably be if you were really serious.
  20. So you tapped it on the front cigarette lighter socket it the red wire that definitely leads to the centre connection on the cigarette lighter itself? Just making sure because one the harness going into the front cigarette lighter has blue as the +12v and then after the connector, one red wire is for the cigarette lighter +12v and the other is for the illumination (when the parkers are on). If it definitely is wired up correctly, then I would be checking the 'CIG' and 'PWR OUTLET' fuses as these can blow pretty easily.
  21. What exactly have you connected your amp remote trigger up to?
  22. As long as you've punctured it within the tread area, you should go get it repaired professionally at a tire shop. Should cost you anywhere between $15-30 to get it done.
  23. Mmmmm. Tasty. I like where this is going.
  24. You will find that these two extra speakers are in fact just the extra tweeters that come as part of the rear 2-way speakers. They are constructed similar to this:
  25. Yeah, had to avoid a wombat on a trip a couple of months ago. I was really thanking my good tires and brakes after that. I hear hitting them can be worse than a roo.
