You simply poke a hole in it to the side so that it's not next to the wiring loom and push the cable through there. It has to go on a slight downwards angle. If you have trouble feeding just the cable though, you can use a coat hanger to guide it though. Just take care not to damage any other wires in the process. It will come out in this little area behind the glove box and interior distribution panel. When you look there, you can't miss it.

Well it would seem my car is trying to tell me something. When I pull into my driveway, it's force of habit to undo my seatbelt as I approach the stop. Occasionally I undo it that little bit too early and it sets off the seatbelt warning. Well just then, as I pulled in, I released my seatbelt. At the exact same time I got that ding sound and thought I was a little too quick. Split second later I noticed that it didn't repeat so I looked at my dash and I see the Check VSC Error once again. It's been a little over a month since I last got the warning so I'm trying to figure out now what I am doing that is setting it off. I think I need to invest in a ScanGauge so I can read the codes. I am guessing that most likely those ABS/VSC errors again. The only thing I can think of that would be upsetting the system is my recent fun with lift-off oversteer while going around roundabouts and taking tight turns with more speed that usual. Surely that can't upset a system though that is designed to keep an eye on wheel slip.

Mmmmm. Lookin' tasty. Those valve stems seem pretty serious.

I also learnt that HID's in reflector housings don't go down well with them either. I will never drive the interstate with such a setup again. During an overtaking procedure, I learnt that they have a pretty bright light facing backwards located on the top of their side mirrors. Not very easy to overtake on the wrong side of the road when this thing is turned on. And damn they have some pretty bright high beams/driving lights once you manage to complete the procedure. Never.... again.

Mullet... LOL. This statement is so sigged. Edit: I think there is an answer to the first part of your question. 'cuppas' has what you are looking for: There is even 'mk1990' as well:

You're obviously not looking hard enough :P :P Look at the firewall behind your intake:

To continue on with this rant... ... then you have the ones that continue to talk during the movie. Was watching The Wolfman earlier, which had its fair share of quiet scenes, and this group of 5 girls sitting in the row in front of me were chattering and giggling throughout. Because they were a few seats across and I had some people next to me, I couldn't easily move over to tell them to shut up, but the couple next to me did. Didn't manage to stop them completely though. Geez, why the f*** would you go pay $13 to watch a movie then just talk to your mates throughout. Some people really just p*** me off.

Geez. Not another fog light b*** fight. At the end of the day, driving around with fog lights in non-foggy/rainy conditions is illegal, otherwise there wouldn't be fines for it. Regardless of what you personally think... it's still illegal. End of story. No point arguing it. For that matter... because it is illegal, anyone arguing saying that they are a nuisance has more persuasion than those arguing against that. Personally, I find them annoying. Not enough to complain about it, but it just gives off more glare than those without. When I say glare, I'm not referring to in your eyes type of glare. It's the fact you have 2 sets of lights approaching rather than one set. Even with proper aiming, it can still appear bright. Also, fog lights aren't exactly an aimed type of light. They are designed to spread light over a larger distance.

Meh, it's a Sunday.... I'll just walk around the house in my Birthday suit.

The Cruise Control Seems to Have Problem!?
DJKOR replied to cow's topic in General Toyota & Other Car Discussions
Also, I wouldn't be comparing your speed with others on the road. I've done a fair bit of driving and have realised that speeding is so much more common than you think. There are so many drivers out there that exceed the speed limit by 1-10km/h because everyone these days is always in a hurry. -
In the words of Guni: Proportions are the first thing that aren't quite right. It's more of a case of "each to their own" here. As long as you love the look, it's all that really counts.

Um... this bot is starting to really annoy me now. If it is meant to be okay, it's programmed wrongly. I just thought I would read Steve's post again (we were discussing this at the last Brisbane meet): I guess when I read that (I was working at the time), I read it in a bit of a hurry and thought in my mind that Steve meant it was okay, as in he has killed the bot, etc. Having a look, it seems to be posting still. Because Steve possibly couldn't have brought this thing upon us all (surely right ), I am thinking one of two things: 1) It hacked his account to post that reply, or 2) Because the bot has mod status, deleting/banning it is a little bit difficult. I like to think a little deeper... plus this bot is getting in the way.

Spotted yesterday at about 3:20pm travelling along the Pacific Motorway (away from Sydney) approaching the Peats Ridge exit: A black Corolla Sportivo, plates "VIT 22Z". Looked a little too riced up for my likings.

Aurion Fog light + strong smell when first accelerate
DJKOR replied to jk23's topic in Aurion / TRD Aurion Club
For your fog lights, that is WAY EXPENSIVE. Just pick up a set on eBay for like $150. You will get new fog lamp assemblies and two new bulbs. The air conditioning smell is a little bit of a funny one. Traditionally, it is caused by bacteria on the A/C evaporator which produced an odd smell when moist (moisture in the air condensing on the evaporator). As well, you can get some odd air conditioning smells due to the pollen filter. It should be noted though that these two probable causes seem to tie in together with the Aurion. For example, changing your A/C filter can make the smell seem like it has gone away, but I have personally found that it somehow masks it to an extent. I am yet to figure out how such a thing occurs. For example, my A/C filter is currently really dirty (looks black in colour) and my A/C has absolutely no smells whatsoever, humid day or not. Anyways, there are three options to kill this bacteria: 1) Drive around with your air setting set to 'fresh air' as much as possible. Over time, the bacteria should be killed off. By 'over time' I mean weeks or even months. But if you leave it open all the time, this should create no issues once it is gone. 2) Glen 20. Not the most ideal approach (personal opinion because I don't like the stuff), but you turn your A/C to full and spray this stuff upwards into the passenger side footwell underneath the glove box. Removing the plastic there when doing this would be advised. Or 3) Get your hands on a commercial ozone generator (very commonplace in hotels so it helps to know people). Run this in the car for an hour, with about 10 minutes of this time spent with the car started and A/C running at full. Make sure you ventilate the car for 30 mins afterwards. If the smell still remains after that, give it another hour of treatment. You can keep repeating this if necessary. One good advantage of this method is that it kills pretty much EVERY odour in the car. Edit: Thanks for the link mikka. Saved me from doing a search. -
The Cruise Control Seems to Have Problem!?
DJKOR replied to cow's topic in General Toyota & Other Car Discussions
Pretty much what I was going to say. With the speedo, it's common for manufacturers to have speedos that read higher than your actual speed. As there is always going to be some error when it comes to speedos, it is better to be biased towards the safer side just in case. It also helps them in away because they then can't really get any blame for any speeding tickets due to a inaccurate speedo. As for the cruise control, without driving the slope myself, I can't make a comment but going down a slope and the vehicle gaining speed isn't anything out of the ordinary. Especially when you are talking about a larger vehicle like the Tarago. Due to the systems involved, cruise control only takes care of the throttle and has nothing to do with the brakes. -
It couldn't have possibly topped this one:

What you must have witnessed is a really bad driver then or an old V8 from a while back.

For my Aurion, I've run all my cables for power (sub and rear 20A accessory socket) along the passenger side of the car. Main reason is that it keeps the length of power cable as short as can be since the battery and said grommet is on that side. As for interference, I have found no issues whatsoever. There isn't really anything running along that side that is susceptible to interference since it's basic power wiring and sensors so there is no need to worry there. As for the line out converter I used to have (prior to getting a new head unit) I just used a cheap Jaycar unit. Cost $16.95 and for subwoofer use, did not present any audio defects (personally). Car Stereo High to Low Level Converter This was mounted in the boot of the car and tapped directly into the rear speakers.
-
I considered that... but it does involve costs to upgrade. Maybe we can start a PayPal donation fund because I don't think the membership subscriptions alone will be suitable considering the other running costs. All we need to raise is $150.

Hehehe... doesn't this sound familiar: I actually think it fits perfect with the white. Saw a white police facelift Aurion Sportivo and it looked great. Personally I think the clear tail lights work with the lighter colours like Silver and Reef. I think it would look bad on the darker colours.

Pfft. Google doesn't factor in driver ability. I'm telling you that it can be half of that.

I get the same as well. I think the site remembers you by IP address. I just have Firefox remember the password on my laptop.

Even if it is a person, the point I was trying to make was how it got moderator rights. You would have to hack a moderator account to do so wouldn't you? Or hack the site at like the top leve? I'm not familiar with this stuff. Mick... was I really that sig worthy .

Brisbane Meetup (Every Thursday 9pm)
DJKOR replied to Danthuyer's topic in Previous/Past Club Meets & Events
I'm definitely there. Judst confirmed flight for 5:15pm so more than enough time to make it. Anyone want anything from Sydney? I've finished my work here so have a bit of time to blow with unlimited k's on the rental car. -
+1,000,000 FFS. Just set a date and tell your mate that's he's soft if he doesn't go and has automatically lost. At least you will get a time.
