  1. I can't think of anything else so Krispy Kreme it is.
  2. I'll be there. Will think of what to bring and will let you guys know in the morning. Krispy Kreme will be a last resort.
  3. The intake alone will no affect your fuel consumption on a measurable level for the better or worse. Your fuel economy post-install will come down to how you choose to drive afterwards. Also, you can get your dash display to work with an aftermarket head unit without the need to use an aftermarket "chip" or module. You can find information on this by searching the forum.
  4. Fair enough. On a side note, Avalon is staying where it is.... for now. I'll think about it. Edit: Fark that was freaky. The link for the 86 Club is: http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php/forum/86-86-club/ That first 86 in it indicates that that was the 86th sub-forum to have been created.
  5. 1) Do a search of the Aurion forum for "intermediate shaft". That may lead you down the right path. 2) Search the Aurion forum as well for this one. This has been covered many times. 3) Once again, search the forum for this. Some key words to get you going.... "transmission flare". 4) I believe this is called inertia and (wind) resistance.
  6. Have you tried removing the trim that is preventing the plugs from coming out? If something is blocking it, the first logical step would be to see if you can remove the said blockage. I'm guessing it would be trim in the way because I find it hard to imagine the firewall being in the way. That said, I think I need to see a photo of what you are trying to do because correct me is I'm wrong, but aren't the spark plugs on the top of the engine underneath the engine cover? In that case, they aren't anywhere near the firewall.
  7. no just the manifold to the cat flange is what i meant. I think you may have misunderstood me. The cat IS WELDED to the y-pipe on the lower section and on the upper section, the cat is part of the exhaust headers.

  9. Voted Sunday and would be a 95% chance that I can make it.
  10. Since I wasn't going anywhere today or tonight, I decided to do my 120,000km service. Oil has been draining for the last few hours... will leave that one till late afternoon, and have just washed out the air filter and will recharge that tonight once it is thoroughly dry.
  11. Guys, please take a step back and look at this thread from the beginning. The OP already has another build thread in which it is more wise for him to post all the updates he wants about his car. Instead, he has come and made a new thread which states only some basic details and nothing specific. If the OP isn't going to bother providing specific details, everyone has the right to post back with speculation, suggestions, and anything else they damn well feel. Once he has all the progress details etc, he can post them where required and change his thread title and description to match: Turbo ZRE Dyno Results on stock internals At the end of the day, this is not clogging his build thread. This is the OP's thread, not yours. Who are we to judge what should and should not go in the thread because for all we know, the OP probably doesn't mind all this discussion. He might enjoy the speculation coming from everyone. Moderators have the ability to remove posts at the OP's request, so if he really didn't want it here, he can simply request it.
  12. Remember, it comes with a cat so it will cost you about $100+ from a wrecker.
  13. Wet weather huh? Seems Briabane must have missed me cause it looks like loop weather tonight.

^ Fleet cars maybe. Also, does it sound like they have dropped the manual transmission altogether?
  15. I'm in. I can't see the weather there, but I'm guessing it's not simply a case of "we'll see how she goes"?
  16. That Auto Speed article seems to be more concerned about the effects of drag caused by airflow near the tires/wheels. The 'Ground Effector' kits in question here appear to sit more inwards on the car on the chassis rails. The effects of them can't simply be compared to an article that is looking at something else. On top of that the ones that you bolt onto your car don't have any flat surface leading up to them if you know what I mean. What's stopping air from just going up and over it instead of just down?

  19. Spotted at 2:37pm today on Hale Street approaching the Milton Road off-ramp, a white favelift Aurion Sportivo with some crappily painted gunmetal grey boot lid garnish and chrome fender vents. I LOL'ed hard cause it looked so tacky.
  20. It's looking to be Hoppy's anyways. The rain is moving quite slow.
  21. Yeah. But I like the darker environment better. So who'll make the call.
