  1. The only easy way to do it is to sell it and buy an ST185 GT4. That being said: The factory 5S-FE is not a very good base for a turbo unless you upgrade the flimsy pistons and con rods. Even then the cylinder head does not flow very well. On stock internals it can handle somewhere in the range of 7-12psi with a CT26 turbo and turbo manifold from a GT4. This will require larger injectors and an ECU upgrade. Reliability is the biggest concern with this route. The 3S-GTE swap from a GT4 is a more reliable swap if done correctly; but, it will require a gearbox from a V6 Camry and an ECU/wiring to suit. There are plenty of other parts required for both swaps; however, I have kept it to a minimum for the sake of brevity.
  2. ADRs are different from state road laws.
  3. There are other alternatives out there. I personally think the bushings are worthwhile.

  5. Under bonnet temps will always be higher. It is often referred to as heatsoak, it is inevitable that you will get this. There are methods(nitrous and methanol injection) to cool the intake air; however, these are illegal on a road car.
  6. Might be worth a read: There is also a search box at the top of the page, which may net you results to some questions that you may have.
  7. Probably worth getting at back to Toyota. It could be a symptom of a larger issue in the long run. Toyota Link seems to constantly have issues.
  8. Most likely the sender. Power and earth can be supplied to the gauge to determine if it is the fault.
  9. Whilst I appreciate the issue you are having with your vehicle. It is not the best idea for information on bypassing a security feature to be posted on a publically visible forum. I would suggest that you seek the assistance of a qualified auto electrician or automotive locksmith.
  10. Just climb under the car, grab hold of the propshaft and shake it as hard as you can in every direction. Any play in the UJ will require replacement. If it is very minimal you may get away with greasing it. I would advise against disconnecting them for testing purposes.
  11. Welcome. Congrats on the purchase.
  12. Have a look at the UJs as mentioned as well as inspect the propshaft for any detatched weights. This is not incredibly common but is possible, especially when driving off road.
  13. Possibly a valve body issue. Get it to an automatic transmission specialist for an assessment.
  14. They are commonly used when upgrading horns. They are loud.
  15. Taking it to a smash repairer or panel beater for an assessment and quote will net you the most accurate cost.
  16. If it works fine one way and not the other, the flasher relay or fuses should not be the issue. I would be looking for any corrosion on the globe or poor/rusted earths.
