an exhaust kit ..

how long have we waited,, ok ok let me see 2-4weeks work =exhaust ok sold,, so let me get this straight though its not a full exhaust system but from the cat converter correct??

and also im a sucker for detail so has anyone got a magical picture of what this exhaust looks like,, how does it sound???

Hey Greg

System is from the cat back. Can be manufactured in stainless or mild steel. I have stainless on my car and sounds great. Not too loud, not too quiet, just right.

Makes the car so much nicer to drive. JC posted some pics of my car about a week and a half ago. There is a shot of the rear muffler and tail pipe. Danthuyer has heard it and had a bit of a look( as much as you can see on a lowered car!)

Ask him for his thoughts - semed to be impressed. Peekay and Ilivfor6 have already ordered their systems. Greg if your around come to the dyno day and get a good look at one on and off a car.

Oh and for those who are interested I went and had a 'GOOD' look at the system on Saturday :D I cant let out to much info....you'll just have to buy one and see :P but trust me you won't regret it B)

Danthuyer how's about reconsidering this and putting that smile back on my face (Now there is an opening for someone). Oh come on mate pretty pleeeeaaaasssssseeeeee.

Besides if your not carefull, I could send up some 'Head & Shoulders'.

I hear it's very good at making annoying/persistant white (some say looks like snow) flakes dissapear. :D :D :D

Danthuyer has just called me and is going to CES this arvo to talk to Trevor. Maybe to get those performance washes welded inside the pipes for ilivfor6 and peekay! Be nice to him boys - he lives just a little bit closer to CES than you do :P

But then again he was telling me that you've got some parts for him so does the word leverage mean anything? I'll leave it in your ever so capable and diplomatic hands...

hey guys and girls

dyno day is only 2 weekends away so get your car clean and tuned up for a great day at CES' workshop. Can everyone who is thinking of attending PM me so we have an idea of numbers. Also if you want to put your car on the dyno there is only a couple of spots left. So if you have already told me you were going to then tell me again so I can have exact numbers as some weren't sure, then we can sort out how many cars and the order in which we do them as some people can't turn up till a certain time.

So get polishing and tuning up your rockets and let me know ASAP. Remember there is trophies for the Show and Shine:- Best interior, Best exterior, Best engine bay, Best underbody and Car of the day.

Talk to you all soon or see you on the day!!!

Mate, I asked for the pictures that I posted on Brennden's behalf to be removed because our old mate xtigerx thought it would be nice to steal the design and have his own made. Still havent seen a dyno sheet for this one btw tigger.

Pretty poor form really.

On a nicer note, looking forward to blowing everyone off the rollers on the weekend. ;)

I'll have to ring the doctor who's doing it and tell him to prescribe a bottle of "harden up" pills to help in your recovery. :P :P

      1999 Camry Driver's door locking hatch issue

      It's possible that it could be something fouling or dirt build up, dry, or a broken mechanism, so have a look and give the mechanism some lubrication, most likely though, it'll be the actuator.       Query about the correct rotors for 2006 ACV40 Camry.

      Hi, I'm looking at a set of front rotors for an ACV40 2006, 2.4L Camry. I got a good price on some RDA's at Sparesbox. However both RDA8112 and RDA7686 show as for my car and I'm wondering what the difference is and if there were changes to the rotors during the model production. So does anyone know which rotor is the correct one? Many thanks in advance.

      Your solution is akin to suggesting that switching to a different car manufacturer would resolve the issue. However, not everyone shares the same enthusiasm for using an iPhone as you do.

      Turboed Corolla Overbuilt?

      that engine will be fine, the rods are the main thing to be concerned about. The 2860 is a decent turbo for the 1zz but in this day and age I'd go for a G25-550. The injectors might be on the small side, we run DW1000's. You need a full length injector, the shorter injectors with adaptors like ID1050x dont fit the 1zz head. You don't need an aftermarket intake manifold, if you do go down that path, avoid the CNC innovations unit, it's garbage. Do the boost control with a MAC valve and control it with the aftermarket ECU of your choice, I use Link stuff on most of my builds with the G4x Storm as the minimum. I also wire a fuel pressure sensor and oil pressure sensor to the ECU in my installs. Use a decent intercooler, the better cores (ARE, PWR, Garrett, Vibrant, Plazmaman, Hypertune) work a lot better than the chinese stuff like Aeroflow. a 450x250-300 fits fairly well with custom end tanks to route the cooler pipes through next to the radiator Don't forget about the clutch and gearbox. These days I like the Uniclutch twinplate, Above 300whp you'll want to think about upgrading the 3rd and 4th gears in the box also with the SSC (Hollinger) gear set and install an LSD of your choice. If you're going to give it a hard time, you'll also want an oil cooler. I like the HKS thermostat type sandwich plates and setrab or mocal oil coolers with -10 speedflow fittings/lines (Chinese AN fittings neck down to a lot smaller internal diameter in their bends, not great for flow) You'll also want to think about brakes, Celica or Sportivo front calipers will bolt on with sportivo discs as a starting point. To have somewhere like Tunehouse do the work you'll want to budget somewhere between 20-40K

      I did the mathematics myself regarding costs vs benefits for fuel injector cleaner. I have changed from 91ULP to 95PULP and 98PULP. Price difference can be about 13 -20 cents. Compared to 91ULP, Premium quality fuel should have a better quality additive package designed to have superior engine cleaning capabilities so the engine can perform at their best.

      "Fuel injector cleaner is a waste of money" Only if you by the cheap crap if you use LiquMolly a German Product it does work and you won't waste your Money.
