The VX had some massive wheels at the back.

Yeah very quick changes landed me it about 6,200 every change.

I flat changed during a run and only got myself a 15.65.

xoom: Ive got a cheap CAI that cost les than $100. Another thing that has helped heaps is getting it lowered. Its better off the line due to weight transfer.

however the SS time is shocking!!! when the brissy boys went to willowbank we saw a few V8, including a new SS Ute which managed low 14s passes and most of the tricked up 200sx's mid 13s.

The SS u were up aganist had to have been seriously modded

Thats pretty dam good man. I managed to pull a 15.38 with just CAI and obviously the new ECU (missing lift into 2nd). I cant wait to see someone get into those 14's

Nice time mate.

With the SS, it wouldnt have been THAT modded. There are numerous VT-VZ's running low 12's with only a Mafless Tune, Exhaust, Diff gears and Torque Converter (or clutch) about $5000 will get you there. Really easy to get these things moving.

True, you'd be surprised how much of a difference a 4.41 diff can make to the acceleration of the big v8's
