i had custom eyelids on my rolla too that where pretty big:

went to get a road worthy and they got ripped off...the law recons if the eyelid covers any bit of the hi beam part of your light it becoms illigal

although it sounds petty.. i cant argue with the principal behind the defect.

if something is considered unsafe or "illegal", we should at least get a warning to get whatever the problem is fixed. i cant agree with an instant fine unless you were acting like an idiot on the road.

on the other hand, mods are never done by accident and ignorance shouldnt be used as an excuse if you didnt know it was illegal. (by no means am i suggesting you are ignorant and1.. im speaking in general.) basically.. in the end you just gotta respect the law.

id at least shave away the section that covers the beam.. otherwise remove them all together.

I still have to put mine on. Honestly i think that if ur bonnet was Silver and your eyelids are 1 piece Silver, it would have not grabbed the attention of the Police and maybe not gotten defeceted.

4x4 height, no intake, no tint, no black bonnet, no eyelids :( .

But I have a few pieces to go in.

-get the coilovers back in

-get the cai back in

-get some 35% tint on

-catch can to go in

-EBC Greenstuff pads to go in

-DBA rotors to be ordered

Might take a while to get all these put in though. Will keep you updated.

Just an update.

Got the cai, HIDs and oil catch can in earlier.

only problem is that the hose isn't strong enough and is crumpling under pressure so will have to find a reinforced hose tomorrow.

DBA good choice in rotors. I have the gold series front and rear and they are great.

-Oil catch can in

-Repainted eyelids

-Custom aluminum radiator cover.

-Fixed back bucket seat with custom brackets with universal rails.

-Custom 'B Factory' :P rear strut bar (to be resprayed).

Still to go in:

-EBC Greenstuff front pads

-Need to still order DBA front rotors

-ES engine mount inserts.

That's about it for the time being
