I don't mind it at all. I'd buy one, lower it and it would look pretty sweet. If it comes to Aus it may even be my Aurion replacement....

The fact it is on a Camry platform, shares the same V6 & auto box as Aurion....and it comes in AWD...does that mean that (expensively) its possible to swap drivelines to make an AWD Aurion???????????????????

Maybe this is a small hint at whats in store for the Camy/Aurion & may find its way into the newer models.

I wait with baited breath

Not really a fan of the body. It's proportions don't seem right. It definitely does need to sit lower.

Looking at the side profile on the front page reminds me of the front half of the new Honda Accord, and the rear of a Holden Astra hatch.

Your missing the point....same powerful engine, same gearbox, AWD

I'm doing some PhotoShops tonight to lower it and a few other little exterior mods.

of having an AWD same engine and gearbox when you get turned off by its look

it's like having sex with the ugliest pornstar...knows how to f**k but needs a paper bag for u kno what

AURION FTW!!! personal opinion of course

Even though it is essentially an Aurion in the mechanical area, it's not really viable to try and make the Aurion AWD using the Venza drive train. For one, the engine is facing the wrong direction, and you will also have issues due to the single channel running under the car that is used for the exhaust, which will obviously cause some problems for the drive shaft and re-routing the exhaust.

Venza looks like they are trying to compete with the Holden Sportswagon to me...

Sportswagon to me is a pathetic name for a car anyway, and deserves to be put in place by a competitor as big as Toyota! :P

Having AWD and the power of the 4GR-FE will definitely pull some sales away from Holden. However, the fact that there is no manual option doesn't really make sense, considering how many seem to desire it. Given the safety features such as traction control and stability control, I believe that some of these features cannot be implemented using a manual box easily, which may be why there is only the auto option.

Still, an interesting move by Toyota and it will be interesting to see how they go with this. Definitely not gonna trade in my Aurion for one though! :D

Venza looks like half way between SUV and poeple mover

not in direct competition with wagon if you ask me

and did Holden export Sportswagon version of the Commodore to US too?

there are manual cars with stability control

I think its supply and demand

its like 2 in 10 people would complaint there is no manual a family car

but less than 1 in 10 would actually buy a manual family car

thats the approximate picture according to Toyota statement anyway

when they released Aurion there was no manual because sales was almost non-existent on the Camry

I was bored.

So here's my (half arzed) attempt at trying to make it look better (if, in fact that is possible at all!)

Enjoy.

Good photoshop. Shame that it shows the car has absolutely NO potential.

Edit: I didn't really get the best picture for the size of the car. I was thinking more along the lines of a station wagon. After seeing this video, it appears a bit larger than I though; not that it changes my thoughts on its style:

And LOL, here is some potential:

The Venza is pretty much classed as a cross over vehicle even thought Toyota don't want to admit it.

As in it's an in between of an SUV and a wagon ect.

I seriously doubt that it will make it to Aus but even if it did it would more than likely be on the FF that made it here :(

Every Camry since the Gen2 has had an Alltrac option in other countries but never here, why would they start now lol

Here's my very quick photoshop done yesterday. Got a bunch more but they wouldn't upload onto my phone & I ran out of time to try fix it. I know its not perfect & the old wheels are still in the reflection...

I think its got potential - even just by darkening the 'bling' grill its alot better. But I made a 'custom' grill on this one...the rest are darker.

I actually really like this design (well maybe except for the front). I think its probably one of the better toyota designs atm. I love the creases in the rear. If they made this a 7 seater, it would be a much better car than the Kluger is atm. Almost looks as good as the mazda CX9
