Car detailing in Sydney?

Hi Guys

I'm looking for a few options of car detailing places in sydney. I know I can do a search on the net but I would rather use a place that gets a recommedation from someone. Any of you guys got any recommendations? ;)

Rickys Car detailing in Greenacre, my father is a car wholesaler and uses them all the time.

Got mine and my mates cars done there couple months ago, cames out lookin better than new.

Everythin from engine bay to under the car to door jams was spotless. if you put a rag on the car it would just slide off the paint it was that smooth.

Highly recommend him and cost $110

There is a guy called Dr Detail. He comes to you and does a really good job, the downside is the price, I think it's about $250 - $300. That includes a full detail of paint rejuvination (spelling), clay bar etc.

I don't have his number but I'm sure if you google or ask around you should be able to find him.

How deep are the scratches? Are they surface scratches or they're deep past the clear coat and paint onto bare metal?

whoa man, did you buy the whole range? i just spent 100... :o

also take some time man, if u follow the guide on this forum it teaches u from A to Z, u WILL get those scratches out. Unless like dread said, if the scratches are to the bare metal, touch it up NOW before it rusts. took me 7 hours of my life to do it but the results are amazing :)

Not cheap, but he spent 7 hours on my Subi to get rid of swirl on black. Uses only top shelf products.

Not sure which to try first. Its a 2 years old Aurion in white.

Happy to spend $200 for clay and wax.

Don't know if bluff is worthwhile for a white car.

(Clay is too much work for me. Wax is time consuming but not too bad.)

Also looking at steam cleaning. There are a few spot stains on the cloth seat.

(Armor All is easy to do yourself but I don't see vendor letting you hand pick which item to do. Its usually a package.)

Checked out Sydney Car Wash Cafe's Gordon shop and had their $85 Polish & Detail.

It was a budget price with a time frame of 40 minutes. It was a cloudy afternoon. The wash left obvious stains behind and some dirty water marks on the bonnet. They did wipe the edges and hinges though. The vacuum was not detailed. Some trims were wiped and some trims weren't. It doesn't look like they've actually dressed the trims. Though they left the pedals a little bit slippery.

The guy handing the car back to me says he knows what I am talking about. Yet my touch says the clay work mostly skipped. The wax was a wipe on wipe off.

Wash (Wheels): 8/10

Vacuum: 7/10

for 200 you could easily buy a clay kit, good wax, and car wash... clay the car while you wash (you will sacrifice your clay bar to a one time use only, but if the car isnt too bad you can easily cut the bar up into thirds) and then apply wax after drying the car... it wouldnt take you much longer than a regular wash and wax...

I am looking at Star Cafe Wash.

Their "Star Polish" is $95.

Wash, Clay, Polish.

("A thorough Clay Bar treatment to remove surface contaminants such as tar and bugs from paintwork.")

Disappointed once, and being realistic now, I am not convinced. Clay takes me 1-2 hours to do it myself.

Maybe I'll give it a shot. Tell them to skip the polish part (in case they don't really clay and do nothing but add swirl marks).
