Thanks Pete, I'm not into hooning at all, just asked the question in case there was some special club rules regarding outings. (i.e. convoy formation, stops....etc)

hey all,

just on the note of convoy formations, with the turn out so far looking awesome (20+ conformed) we will divide into 2-3 groups, but this will be sorted out on the day...or just before. Myself and BGPete will select the group leaders, which will set the pace for each group :)

As this my first trip with the club, are there any special rules and regulations I (and other new comers) need to be aware of?

Also, are kids welcome to attend this event as asked previously?

sorry for the late reply..... pete and mark have been taking care of thread on the days that im at work

we normally bring all our kids to the cruise so all good :D kids are more then welcome....i normally make sure i have heaps of munchies for them so they dont get bored and their ds's....when they were all babies made sure i had plenty of dvd's (mainly wiggles and hi-5 :lol: hehehe)....but im sure you guys know what your kids are into.

no special rules....mainly just to drive safe :D safety in number one on the list. cb's are good if you've got one if not all good see me just before we depart i'll be swapping numbers and diving up into groups just in the case that someone gets left behind at a light or makes a wrong turn :D

also don't forget your cameras and to fuel up before we depart!!! 30 cars in a random servo ain't gonna happen and we'll lose way to much time.

no need to bring lunch as the fish n chips up there from memory is the bomb!!

Hey all,

As some of you may already know, this month in august there is no official cruise booked in, so the normal end of month meet at villawood will be going on as normal. That said, the boofins in the cruise trust have brewed up a trip down south. We have taking to route many times before and, due to the success of previous turn outs, we have decided to run it again.

So here is the map link of the cruise:

When: Saturday 26/09/09

Time: Meet at Villawood at 8:30am for a 9:00am leave time

Running time: approx 5hrs

All normal cruise rules will apply (will post a copy up here soon) and a copy will be available on the day. If you dont understand them, dont come :D

Things to pack: Full tank of Fuel, CB's fully charged, Cash for lunch at the blow hole

There should be little to no reason why the masses can't join us this time round as there is HEAPS of notice, go get the day off work if you need too. Do what any true aussie bloke / chick would do and call in sick :whistling: <<<< this is just a suggestion :P

Hi All,

Like i mentioned i am new to this and also will be my first TOCAU cruise......... Are friends allowed from other forums?

I have a friend who is a real enthusist and owns a Renault Megane R26 F1.

Is it ok if he tagges along providing he can make it?

Two of my tag alongs have dropped out because they have a bucks day/night to goto instead.. I guess seeing boobies is more appealing...

I still have my mate in his VW Golf confirmed..

I dont think we can ride point. It would look weird having an Aurion with hub caps then a VW second leading the pack.

      2011 Land Cruiser 1VD-FTV Engine Won't Start After Overhaul

      Hi everyone, I have a 2011 Land Cruiser VDJ200 with a 1VD-FTV engine. I recently had the engine fully overhauled due to a blown head gasket. However, after the overhaul, the engine is not starting. It only cranks but doesn't fire. I've checked the following DTC codes: Internal memory EEPROM error Low rail pressure The actual rail pressure data shows: 240 bar during cranking 61 bar when ignition is off Based on these findings, I suspect the following potential causes: =Defective Diesel High-Pressure Pump =Leaking Piezoelectric Injectors =Diesel Fuel Bypassing to the DPF Circuit =Faulty Injector Drivers I'm hoping for some expert advice to help diagnose and resolve this problem I'm seeking expert advice on how to troubleshoot and resolve this issue. Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

      Hey guys, I’m wanting to disconnect my current winch, lightbar and UHF as I have new plans. I’ve installed a winch previously on another car so I get it’s a case of following the cables and disconnecting from the battery, etc but but safety wise, should I start by disconnecting the battery so the cables aren’t live orrrr? And if so how do it go this haha?

      Snapping wheel and axle studs

      Put a set of standard wheels on it and your problem will disappear. It is critical that the hole in the wheel centre is a snug fit on the axle boss (without wheel nuts fitted). If your wheels are sloppy on the axle boss this allows excess force on your wheel studs and they will break, as yours are doing. If you are unsure of what to do, go to a reputable tyre shop and get assistance.

      2zz idle / roughness when accelerating past 3k

      Hey everyone was hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction with this issue I've been facing for a while now. My Celica's idle will drop down to almost 200rpm when stationery after hitting operating temperature. Pretty much feels like it's about to stall out but never actually does. When taking off from a set of lights it almost feels like it hesitates or is down on power and then all of a sudden it lurches forward and gets a boost in power again. Then again around 1,500-3,000rpm it feels down on power and in what I can only describe in the engine feeling scratchy. Past 3,000 rpm it gets a little boost in power again but still definitely feels down on power compared to what it used to be and still has that roughness. Note lift is also not working at the moment but I have changed the lift bolts, planning on cleaning the VVT and VVTL-i OCV's New engine mounts have been installed I changed the MAF sensor about 4 years ago albeit not OEM. After doing some research my main ideas now would be a New MAF this time OEM, TPS, IACV or Coil Packs (Changed plugs 50,000km ago) Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! :)
