Adrenalin vs RE050

The RE050's are more of a tire suitable to most conditions. They are better in the wet than the Adrenlins, and they have reasonably good grip in the dry. The Adrenalins though would provide the most grip once warm, but from an everyday driving perspective, the RE050 would be the better choice.

Thanks guys!

Will have to shop around to see if i can get good price for RE050. Adrenalins are so good value for money! But will try RE050 if price is right. Just to test them.

Depending on what size you are after, RE050 are OEM tyre and they go for about $330 for 215/45/17 thats what I got quoted from a few places.

These come standard on liberty or WRX i think, and at the same time i was getting quote for the RE001 in the same size and it was going for 100-120 bucks less.

This is what tyre store around Sydney wanted anyway. Hope this gives you an idea of what to expect.

I have almost the same result.

The best is the enemy of the good, I guess.

I am happy with Adrenalin

was turning with bad visibility (blocked by traffic) the other day

almost got hit, felt like...wow I reacted fast there

saw smoke for the first time

yeah Adrenalins (RE001) are much cheaper

I got 215/60R16 from Bridgestone dealer for $155

I am a little confused

so RE050 is expensive, loud and has good performance

how does that equate to "everyday"?

Im pretty sure it is more quite then the RE001..the RE050 is suppose to be the premuim version of the RE001 something like that i think..

i run the RE050 on my rolla and I've been in a car with the RE001 mine is more quite... but thats just my 2 cents..others might think differently.

Grip wise i say its not too bad in the dry.. not to sure about the wet tho.

GUYS i have been running a tyre called achilles made by api [american performance industries] 19/245/35 getting pretty good wear and they grip great in wet and dry , anyone else run them????

Just got Goodyear excellence yesterday....225/50R17 CHEAAAAAPPPPP @ $680 fitted and balanced..to replace my RE001s..

Pretty good too...Took it up the Blue Mountains today, wet and foggy...the tyre was quiet too...

Frankly, Any tyre over $200 is a waste of money on the Aurion, it isn't going to make you a better driver anyway...

Hopefully these tyres last a tad longer than the RE001s...
