Is anyone interested in participating in a convey of Camrys and driving the circumference of Australia? I would propose to leave the Gold Coat on 1 January 2011 and arrive in Brisbane on 28 February 2011. Anyone in?

Agreed. Plus add to the fact that not only will you not be working... you will also be spending money on fuel.

Definitely not interested.

I don't think the Camry was ever designed to go outback. Did you ever wonder why car companies made 4WD.

a camry should be fine if it runs on route 1 only, unless parts of it is sand. that's going to be a long trip though.

Petrol would cost approx $150 per 1,000 kms,(98 Octane) 20,000 kms would be $3,000... :whistling::whistling:

Lol I can think of better ways to spend the life of a full set of new tyres. And driving long distances is boring with all these speed cameras anyways. Even driving down to sydney got boring when we were 2 hours away, mind you we did with 1.5 stops :P

Its hard enough getting guys for a 1 day cruise let alone 2 months of cruising ;)

if u guys are actually serious about this

check out for water pump issues.

mine blew, along with it, the waterpump housing, and also damaged the timing belt.

ive been traveling to melb>syd>bathurst>syd>bathurst>canberra>boom....>stuck in cowra(middle of no where)for 1week & $1100 repair bill>Bath>Melb Home.

but so long as you stick to sealed rds, u are good, having said that, does not include sealed rds with lots of pot holes!
