There is no need to repalce spark plugs every 5000km/3 months. Save yourself the money and do them when they are playing up.

I do every 5000km/6 months myself, of engine and gearbox oil. Brake fluid is done yearly.

i think its better to keep your gearbox in for more than 5000km i thought that you gotta like wear the oil in for like 500km i think its a bit extreme to be changeing it every service.

For me every 5000 or 6000km service and about 25/30k km for gearbox

MMmmm, 5000km? <_<

Here in southamerica we have to service it every 10000km (says Toyota), sparkplugs every 40000km and ATF every 40000km.

It is the same engine, a 1ZZFE.

Why Toyota has different service programs?

Cheers

Our logbooks say every 10000km but as enthusiasts I guess we look after our cars !

Yeah!

But you know, in Uruguay which is next to Argentina, the dealerships ask the users to do the servicing every 5000km, so that's why it didn't sound strange!

Cheers

AB

PD: BTW, does someone know where Argentina is???

Depends on conditions of the country u r in. Here in Australia, the weather isn't too extreme so we can get away with longer servicing intervals. Not sure about other countries.

Depends on what your doing with the fluid. If it oxidises it won't protect any more. I get my oil tested so I know when I can increase or decrease service intervals, not guessing by the logbook.
