Bought a Toyota Corolla ZRE152 in Feb 2010 MY09. Engine is 1.8 2ZR-FE

Photos

91.7KW, stock is around 70kw

Peak torque is around 227nm at 4400rpm (37% increase in torque)

With camshaft change, aiming to get 107kw at the wheel with more aggressive camshaft, it will shift the peak power band to 7000rpm, with some sacrifice on mid range

I am aware the dyno is just a rough estimation of engine output, and is not accruate

Stock with cat back only (Graph referenced from another member dutchie101)

dynoresults.jpg

Before and after Unichip, plus headers, full exhaust (include high flow cat), NST pulley, intake, pay attention to midrange

After LSD and flywheel and new pod filter (replacement, same brand and model), nst pulley removed. The 2 dyno lines represent two runs. First run is 89.7kw

Remove spare tyre and tools (around 15kg)

Light weight driver seat (5 kg reduction)

Lithum Battery, 2.9kg each, https://www.lithiumax.com.au/product-page/lithiumax-new-450cca-black-lcd-series-battery

Light weight flywheel (5kg reduction)

- Rota R Spec 16x7 (6.5kg each)

Work in Progress

Unichip i-driver to increase rpm to 7200rpm, our car is cut by fuel when overrev

MWR Camshaft stage 1, https://www.monkeywrenchracing.com/product/mwr-cam-set-2-2zr-fe-stage-1/. This will increase the peak power by 8% estimated

Below was done in 2012, where no flywheel, no LSD and no camshaft mod

How much did the weaponR headers set you back man? And where did you source them from?

Posted (edited)

Some black Work Emotion CR Kai's would set it off! nice work with the car though :)

Plan to buy Enkei RPF1 16x7, only 6.2 kg each. Price is around 1k including shipping. Work Emotion is too expensive

$255 + shipping + install

Dutchie101 and Johnnieboi have it installed

However, if you don't change the exhaust system, it is useless. For me, I will change the catalytic convertor to the high flow ones because the catalytic convertor is sitting so close to the header

The full exhaust system will be looking around $2k

Wow that's awesome. Thanks man. I've got my axleback done with the Xforce S10 twinloop at the moment and plan on having the stock cat+resonator replaced with a highflow cat and potentially later on will have headers installed.

Haha, I do not want to thrash my current tires, otherwise, I go for 17x7, 16x8 is rare.. I am looking for black or white, not silver

Weight is my main consideration factor, must be under 7kg per corner

Enkei's should look sweet!

Oh, if you're looking for lightweight how about 949 racing 6UL.. they're cheap and light!

Ahhh fair enough but I'm sure those tires will fit the 16x8 also try the site themselves. Here's the chart http://www.enkei.com/size_chart/RPF1.pdf

Accroding to this, I can either go from 5.5 to 7.5, which means I can only fit 6 or 7..

No la, lightweight and ridigity or you end up the wheels being bent during driving in the following Enkei Review This review is quite good

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=479110

Enkei is not pricy as well

I am already broke after I modify my car and go to track day!!! Start to become addiction

16x8 in 5x114.3 is indeed rare. 16x8 are usually 4 or 5x100. :( I was trying to find a set of shoes for track... :whistling:

Quite the contrary dude. I've had both the Enkei RPF1's and also Rota Slipstreams; copy wheels of Desmond Regamasters'. I flew of the track at 130kph, spun 360 degrees and hit the gravel 2inch from the circuit and didn't even dent or bend ANY of the wheels even managing to lodge a stone inbetween my semi slicks and the wheels.. go figure.

Please don't do this to johnnieboi,

johnnieboi, please beat the sportivo guys. We ZRE owners should not be bullied by Sportivos !!!

This is probably my choice for wheels, Rota R Spec, white colour (because my car is red)

I am stilling waiting for their reply on weight, which I guess less than 7kg

I will also need to buy some red color nuts (my car is red)

Next week, I will change my catalytic convertor to see how it goes. Will dyno later to see the difference, looking for 82kw atw for all mods. Here is my stupid estimation

Base 70kw

Pulley + 2kw

CatBack + 2kw

Headers + 3kw

Catalytic Convertor + 2kw

Intake + 3kw

I had a quick search and have found that they are 7.7kg but i believe they are just under 7kg, no one can really confirm it..

Also the gunmetals come in +40 and white in +45, I know it doesn't make sense but that's what I found :)

They are a good price though, are you still interested in the RPF1's Ben?

I can tell you, very hard decision..I am sure you know how hard the decision is for wheels

TO be honest, RPF1 style is not my style.

Here says 5.9kg

http://www.potn.co.uk/fighter-16-x-7quot-4-stud-fitment-white-with-red-lip-set-of-4-wheels-lightweight-series_p1040558.htm

but here says 7.7kg

Very good price, even with 7.7 kg, I am still thinking whether to go for it..Since I have to pay almost double for RPF1

erm dude... You can't exactly compare dyno sheets from different dynomometers as there is a discrepancy of up to 10%. Not to mention the temperature and atmospheric pressures that plays a role on the readings. You say which cars make less power than your car ect, hell my car make 63.4wkw; 20+wkw less than yours but it'll be interested how we go on a race track, with me 200kg+ less..
