Hi guys.. I am one of the committee members with TCCAV. We really appreciate the support you guys gave the event, it was awesome to see your cars.. I personally loved XVIIIR

I bailed early after getting the mega lean readings on the Celica.. thought I might come home and see if I could find a solution. Nothing obvious so far sadly...

Thanks to Frank for making this one happen, he was still there at 7pm when I called to see how it was going! Thanks to Dave for manning the BBQ, and the other guys for supporting it.

Here are a couple of photos I took, nothing as good as dwee.'s ones! I liked the different mix of cars attending compared to our social events.

Some more here

You guys are more than welcome at our social coffee and donuts meets on the third Sunday morning of each month. The venue moves about so best to keep an eye on our website www.tccav.org.au or facebook www.facebook.com/tccav for more details

We are running "Classic Japan" - a show n shine event for jap classics 25 years old plus - I suspect most of your cars don't make the cut off, but it would be great to see some of them adding some colour and variety to the carpark!

Cheers

Adam

Hi Adam, thanks for having us! It was very enjoyable and i'm sure everyone who was there had a blast. I was one of the few who stayed almost til the end (was my first dyno day and was very impressed) :) thanks for the invite, i'm sure many others (including me) will join you guys one day for the coffee for a chat. hope to see you soon!

on behalf of TOCAU Victoria - cheers :)

What is the most appropriate way to invite you guys to each one - put a post up in the events section?

Don't want to step on toes :)

All good mate! Start a thread for TCCAV Monthly meet in the "Upcoming Meets" section, and then you can update the first post with each meet's details. :)

A very interesting day, nice to see all sorts of cars getting on the rollers.

By the way, do dyno's give grossly inflated torque figures? As my rolla's torque figure at the wheels was significantly more than toyota quoted them to have at the flywheel.

Yes they do if they are not set up correctly to convert it. Since your gearbox is essentially reducing the engine speed, the torque figure ends up getting multiplied accordingly.
