Central locking
I have a land cruiser HDJ100R 2001. I have changed the remote batteries and tried to reprogram the system, the remote will lock the car but want unlock the car. Can unlock the drivers door with key but won't unlock any other doors. I can unlock the passengers side door with key but no other the key will lock the tail gate but won't unlock it. The remote will lock the car and you can hear it clicking to try to unlock. If anyone has any ideas what I can do to fix this problem. I rang around trying to see a local auto electrician. but they are busy till next week. Thanking You HDJTom -

El44 Paseo distributor
Anyone? After some research I think the toyota dizzy I need is 19050-11010. I went to local toyota wreckers and asked for a dizzy for Sao (as other wreckers paseo engine been pulled along with dizzy) And they sold me a ep91 starlet dizzy looks Identical from out side diff toyota p/n 19020-11380 stripped apart and compared Insides similar but the starlet one has an igniter module built inside dizzy and Sao has igniter module in engine bay on firewall. The toyota wreckers reckon it'll work but I can't see how it can. As different p/n and different internals and different colour wires but same 4way wire connector and 2 way. Hi, does anybody have any of these lying around that they don’t need? or do you guys know where I could get one? I seem to have misplaced the other one years ago. or is there a way for me to bypass this retainer clip and just use an aftermarket bulb setup that just fits the housing? -

Engine Cost for Sportvito SX6 2007
Looks like they are widely available for ~$2500 probably cheaper if you look around. Issue with selling to a wreckers is they have to store the parts until they eventually sell and they want profit on top of that so aren't likely to offer the actual value. I'd personally ask for $2000 for the entire thing and hope they meet half way. Could make a lot more money from it if you had patience and space to part it out yourself but most would just want to get it over and done with. Says you're not in Australia so parts demand may be lower too so that's one thing to factor into their offer. -

Engine Cost for Sportvito SX6 2007
Unfournately, my beloved Aurion was recently involved in a crash and it is a complete write off, due to the extensive frontal damage and the steering being inoperable. So I am after quotes from wreckers and one has recently just gotten back to me asking "how much do I want for it" The engine is still in working condition has about 190,000kmh. Generally write offs go for about $500-1000 but was wondering if the engine cost could get me more. I don't wanna get ripped off, but at the same time I don't want to get laughed off. So what would be a reasonable price to ask for? -

1990 Seca Backfiring - Carby and Fuel Pump Overhaul Required
Hi There, my AE92 Seca has been backfiring when I back off the revs and I finally took it to my mechanic who said it would need a carby and fuel pump overhaul as it's drawing too much fuel and this is causing a leak (and the backfiring). He's not able to do the job himself and suggested I try looking online for suggestions as to who might do this kind of work in or near Brisbane. Well here I am!!! Hit me. (Car is in otherwise fantastic condition and I would like to keep it well maintained)
