Not very happy with the quality of the Front grill from RStyle....

Very flimsy and mesh is only cable tied to the plastic surround.

Nor does it mesh up properly with the bumper, bonnet or screw holes.

Looks nice but realllllllly wasn't worth wasting the time nor money on it.

Anyone else have a opinion on the quality or the look ?

Photo's below :\

Imo I don't like that style, looks too cheap and plain.

I woulda left the stock one on it, but like I said, my opinion.

Thats pretty much what you get, they do get ALOT worse! The Carmate ones are shocking. It's a massive improvement looks wise, agreed with the cable ties and holes not being perfect. Under 100 bux tho. You can double the mesh which IMO looks better, If it was engineered and designed better I recon you'd be paying double.

For. 100bux looks great massive improvement.

Not the 1st look in the forum.. Some like it, some dont. I'd choose the TRD grill over this.

Cheers Mash, Black and white theme is exactly what my aim was with the car :D

Anything that lights up is white, anything thats dosen't is black except the paint.

I think they suit the sportivo better as it has the black lower section to match.

I just snapped that in garage then, will get a front on shot tomorrow arvo. I brought mine locally in Brisbane but they are just imported from rs styling I think. I took to mine with the dremel cutting abit off and enlarging the screw holes so it sat perfectly. the give you the bare minium mesh required i actaully cut the cable ties and moved it across more to get a better fit but the guy I brought it off suggested to add a 2nd layer of mesh. Also they are only finished in an etch primer ready to paint black or white in your case Im still undecided but will most likely paint mine black.

I agree looks better on the Sportivo models.

But ill leave mine as is for now may end up going back to stick grill one day :)

I read somewhere in these forums Rstyle aren't so good at customer service for Aussies tend to up the price 90% and not good quality compared to other other Thailand aftermarket accessories.. can't remember where it was definitely on the toyotaownersclub forums.

fair enough, it will be the last time i deal with them tho.

Only one positive they had was their packaging techniques O_o

Item + Buuble Wrap 1 length goes around item three times X 2 layers + Heavy duty cardboard box + Thick brown wrapping paper + thick string hahahaha

I think the stock ATX one would look good painted black all over. not willing to give it a try tho hahaha

This came from some members here who didnt get replied when they tried to make purchases. I organized a Group buy long time ago, I wouldn't call their customer service 'not good', certainly decent. For quality, I also found them decent. The not good quality I've seen from Rstyle is the mesh grill, which tend to be a bit 'messy'. Can't really complain about that considering what you paid for it.

Yeah a few here did complain about their service and inflating the prices for Aussies. Like Vick, I've also found their service to be pretty decent. They've always replied to my emails within a day or 2, and I when I put through 1 order a few months ago I needed it urgently, I ordered in on the Monday and it was in my hands on the Friday, and they didn't charge me any extra for express shipping. I've only ever had one issue, they sent me eyelids for an Accord instead of Aurion, but they expressed me the right ones at no charge and covered the cost of posting them back the Accord ones.

Most of their products are of good quality (hell, their hybrid taillights are the genuine Toyota sourced product), and only the mesh grille and eyelids have I found to be a bit substandard.

Yer, ya gotta keep it in context i recon, these are cheaper made parts. Not Gen! i wouldn't swap my grill for anything other than this! and then i'd be

doing a front end and rear swap.....

My objective with my Sportivo was to always make it look "Sportier" not classier i'll leave that to the guys with the black paint jobs and chrome grills.
