It still looks like an MR2...have a look at the picture second from the bottom on the left...unmistakeable...

Still one of the best ones I've seen though, I'd like to see a front on shot and rear shot, because what makes a Ferrari unmistakable is the W I D E look they have. I don't think the MR2 shell would have the width to really pull it off.

But all the same looks cool! :)

Well, when/if i see that in the streets i won't think "hey, thats the most done up mr2 i've ever seen." I'll be thinking, "hey, thats the smallest Ferrari I've ever seen."

Then i'd go and kick it in the tyres.

Anyone got a link of those VW's being kitted out like a Porsche...same thing...show without the go...

The 3S-GTE engine is nice, atleast its cheaper to service than a N/A V12...

Bob that's because most don't know how to make a VW go....And I do ;)

So I could get the go to match the looks(without a turbo ;) )

Hey Silva, what engine would you throw into a Porsched up bettle? I remember someone did a beetle with an old 911 engine in there (but he didn't bother with the kit) kinda cheating as its pretty much an engine, running gear and sitting on top of that a pair of racing seats and a beetle shell. But scary fast!

Wow very very nice, just hope that the engine performance matches the looks.

It says the engine is 275 BHP, thats a decent amount of power!

http://members.optusnet.com.au/borboyous/index.htm

The body kit itself costs $9300! And that's just unpainted panels!

Main Kit $9300

Rear Lights (replicas) $465

Front Lights $120

Hub Extensions (spacers) $630

Badges (original only) $430

100% Replica 355 Wheels $2800

Tyres $1175

TOTAL $14920

15 grand on top of the mr2 price to make it look like that, and you'd still need to add on painting, the interior (another 4ish grand) and the H gear thingy anoher 400ish. Damned this is an expensive exercise.

And wow the ebay one has gone up to 21k and still reserve not met!

Just had another look at that ad ... it says it has a 2,000 litre engine!

If that's the case, you wouldn't be looking for much extra power! B)

Can anyone say "cramped engine bay"?

type 4 2litre from bay window Kombi

Stroker crank

105mm piston/barrell kit

hydraulic cam and lifters

balance bottom end(shot peen rods etc)

lighten flywheel

Autronic ecu

Aftermarket fuel injection set up

big valves

match porting and porting of cylinder heads

CES custom exhaust system

That combo would produce 300hp and 300 foot pounds of torque. (have a mate with similiar spec engine in an offroader and that's what he got on a dyno with a compression ratio of 8.2:1)

This what I'm considering putting in my 76 Kombi.

So look out Stivo's here comes the orange and white block of flats. :P

If you don't believe me ask Northy... he's seen it with the old engine ;)
